Practicing FPV flying with a skilled MotoX Rider #32
Chasing a MotoX rider with the DJI FPV
Переглядів 2910 місяців тому
me practicing my fpv flying by chasing a highly skilled motocross rider at duns motocross track
I did this 5000 feet away from my house. But it was on the mountains…
Always dive from the bottom of the cliff (if you can ofc) in this case you are just lucky that rescue feature works! Nice location too.
You flew behind a mountain wall, what do you think was going to happen, the signal would curve? Sadly it happened to me as well :( Not DJI, Took 3 hours to recover, climbing through thick bush
What happens if the fpv hits one of those birds? Would it be Puffin soup?
Pretty cool way to dive too I’m going to try that
Go for it!
Amazing drones
I met him in 2019 ❤A real gentleman!!
Happens all the time, even 200m line, no interference. 😂
Exactly what I was thinking. It's sht in EU
@maciek_orlowski I dunno why eu has crazy strict regulations.
Gotta love those fail-safe systems on those modern drones. I've personally lost a drone because of partial signal loss.
Must admit. it's a damn impressive system. also the emergancy break helped me get out of thight situations when flying manual. ALWAYS keep your finger on that button.
VLOS
Happened to me on my first flight stopped 20cm from the trees
It's a really good system, certainly saved my drone that day 👍
Mi dà la carica😊
What a legend
Hell yeah! 🤘
My favourite 🌟🌟🌟
One of mine too 😀👍
Omg so envious of how close you are in this video. I was there on the Friday night albeit I passed out unwell & missed 6 songs🫣, but managed to go again on the Sunday night 😊
Sorry to hear about that and glad that you managed to make it back to see the show 😀👍
@@PaulInnesthank you, appreciated x
Had the pleasure of meeting you 6 years ago, and the pleasure again yesterday! Bright spot of my trip to this beautiful country 😊
Cracking video mate!
Thanks mate, appreciated, not sure why it's not playing in 4k though?
This also happened to me when I was flying for the second time in manual mode. I almost shit my pants. I have drone hacks installed, But the dense forest blocks the signal very effectively
very good at flying. Respect to you. subscribed to the channel
Much appreciated! thanks
Was this a GoPro view? What model pls?
This was using the onboard camera on the DJI FPV 👍
amazing technology
GPS rescue on DJI drones are the best in the business. I would port this over to all my bnf quads if dji allowed it.
I'm not sure what you mean by if DJI allowed it? I have GPS modules on my BNF and self built LR quads and RTH works flawlessly if manually triggered using an AUX switch or by a failsafe event. In fact, I have BF 4.4 on my self built AOS UL5 and it actually lands itself.
@@airpixelsuk iNav and BF 4.4 are great but it's a real gamble to be able to recover from a signal loss so close to the rocks like in this situation. I've got several iNav long range builds but the RTH and hover is nowhere close to the DJI FPV's.
@@lIIustration true. There's always an altitude drop when control is handed over to RTH and being close to rocks could I suppose result in a crash.
They must make the mid-signal translate auto drone in low price
@lIIustration I know on betaflight I'll have stage 1 goto angle mode and throttle set higher than hover throttle. So will level instantly and go up. But nothong is perfect. I've had dji lose controller and go the wrong direction home and clipped a tree and crashed. But DJI puts all their work into the drones position hold and return to home. So they are built purposely for that
That's soooo cool Full safety even in manual mode thanks to DJI A normal fpv drone would have crashed very badly in the ground
fpv drones can have also failsafes like return to home
bro fpv have failsafes that activate just like that, and right now with betaflight 4.4 RTH literally lands on is own
But FPV drone doesn’t stop so quickly and hold the position. You have to admit that’s pretty cool! 😎
It does too
A normal fpv drone would probably be running elrs or crossfire and wouldn't have had a failsafe to begin with Maybe a micro failsafe but definitely not a full on loss of control
I had this on my first flight and all I did was break line of sight behind some houses. A little disappointing really, but as long as you're aware of the limitations you can operate within them. It's still a great fun drone to fly around. I have zero interest in flips and dives so just going to get confident in sport mode for recording slow panning footage. Might spend time in the simulator at some point to learn manual mode but all in good time.
Did you have it on 2.4, 5.8, or dual band?
if you have goggles v2 not goggles 2 you should get after market antennas
Wow great video! Where was this?
Scottish borders, east coast 👍
That was awesome seeing a chinook and typhoon mock fighting like that ,it looked like the way the chinook was weaving back and forth so the typhoon couldn't get a lock on him ,brilliant
Shouldav sent the drone after them ;)
My favorite song! Nice video!
Beautiful!!! Nice one Sandy "La donna é mobile qual piuma al ventoo "
👍
Met Sandy yesterday and enjoyed hearing him play! Glad he told us about this UA-cam video also!

Could you tell me approximately how long it took between loss of connection and auto brake kicking in? I would assume this was in manual mode? I'm a bit unsure about this, because the manual only states that it will take 3.5 seconds from loss of connection to RTH.
Hi, I think it must have been a second or two from no signal to the drone emergency braking itself then another 5/10 seconds until it decided to RTH , as soon as it came out of the ravine signal was reacquired and everything was fine. ps- yeah this was in full manual mode
Hi! I also have the DJI FPV. I have lost the signal before tho, and it didn't took long for it to stop up. It took like around 1.5 seconds to stop up, and like 2-3 seconds for it to RTH.
I just bought air 2s... im gonna mainly use for motocross. Is the active trace works well?
Hi, it works well for things that are moving relatively slow, I tried to track some bikes but it always lost them quickly. Next time I'm up there I'll try again as there has been a few updates since then 👍
Stunning wonder around brother lovely drone works. T
paper airplane?
drone
Can't be certain about that
Yeah, A4, folded lengthways. 👍

Thank you, appreciated ❤️👍
Keep going, the next part is the same chords and then after that is arpeggios, if you can already play this, you can play the whole song. Hope you upload it too, would be good to hear
Thanks Brandon, this my daughter playing, I'll upload the full song once she has it all together. 👍
@@PaulInnes good luck
Nice music
Love this track, wish they would let me use it for the entirety of the video. Anemone by the brianjonestown massacre band 👍
Thanks for coming along today and filming us. We will be better prepared next time. The link to that drone footage I was telling you about. ua-cam.com/video/vj6QdLdvvww/v-deo.html The drone footage is excellent.
