GFS Lil Killer pickups installation, Fender Squier guitar upgrade
My issue with this guitar is that the low E would NOT intonate compared to the other strings. Did this discovery of yours fixed that issue?
@@soundgardener75 oh no I didn’t have any issues with that, I use 10-46 strings and they intonate very good. If you use like thick low E strings for drop tunings that might be the issue maybe some shorter saddles might help or shorten those if you need to pull them back more.
you seem like a good mechanic
@@cherylatkinson6060 hey thanks my friend. I think I’m good fixing my old car. Lol. New cars no. lol Take care
Its coming along nicely
@@wallyinthebox1 yeah man. I got the core support in already and front end put back together just need to make an update video. It was a lot of work but worth the patience in slowly doing it and measuring everything to make sure I got it as close to spec as I could
@therocknrollguitarlounge7057 yep. Just done an evap hoses on a 2014 escape. Fukin night mare
@@wallyinthebox1 damn I have no idea how hard that job would be. Is it the hose that runs from the gas tank or the fuel inlet line ?
@@therocknrollguitarlounge7057 no its a turbo engine mostly intake bs.
@@wallyinthebox1 holy crap.
those 1 piece oil pan gaskets ate Nice.
@@wallyinthebox1 yeah They are worth the extra money
If u don't put the stainless saddles on there u are waisting your time and money
@@imthepappy666 It works great without the saddles actually. And if anybody wants to install the saddles just remember it will raise your string height as they are much taller then the stock ones, you might even need to put a shim on the neck to be able to adjust the height of the tremolo to a desired position. Just warning people.
OMG I see that alot at carquest. We are getting replacement parts made in Vietnam . Fukin crazy
It’s like getting worse with this kind of stuff and now the ports are shut down. I have a feeling I should order all my parts right now before we run out. LOL
@@therocknrollguitarlounge7057 I have been asked if that will affect our parts supply. Im like YES we will be the first to get hit. Get what you need . Keep Rockin Bro

coming along great. Thanks for the updates
@@wallyinthebox1 Of course man
I know what that stuff costs. I sell some of those parts at my shop. OMG You have Good stuff there. Please dont tear your body up lifting heavy s$it up. Im paying for it in my old age. almost 60 and feeling like 80+
@@wallyinthebox1 lol. Yes I know I’m going to have my nephew help me again. Lol. Hell yeah starting to feel pains all of a sudden. lol. Cheers bro
Good Idea.

Speakin of engines, I replace sparkplugs in my 2007 ford Edge yesterday. Had to take off the plenum to get the back 3. what a mess. Keep Rockin Bro
@@wallyinthebox1 oh man I’ve heard of that kind of situation on newer vehicles just to do a basic tune up they are a pain in the ass. I feel bad for people who don’t have mechanical skills and have to pay somebody to do that.
Very Nice!!!!

Thats toasty. I would have the block hot tanked to clean up the water jackets. Just an idea.
@@wallyinthebox1 what’s up man hope you doing great. Yes I took it to a machine shop and they did all that already. I still need to give it a clean out with degreaser and long brushes just to be sure then chase all the threads clean them out before even thinking of reassembly. I got my work cut out for a wile
@therocknrollguitarlounge7057 in surviving. Back selling parts for Carquest. I hurt all the time but gotta keep moving forward. Take care Bro
@@wallyinthebox1 yes as long as your surviving bro. I hear you man, things are hard out there. I want to move out of Cali so sick of it.
@therocknrollguitarlounge7057 from what I see Cali is kind messed up. Don't blame you on that deal. Keep the faith bro
That sucks having the smog rules. Here in Iowa we throw that shit away. Thanks Bro
You should also try schaller New arm tremolo (the whole thing, not just the arm). Not the Floyd rose brand, non more vibrations latence, loosiness

302 HO is a Great Engine. just dont get a 5,4 triton I have one in a truck ,one pos. Rock on Bro
@@wallyinthebox1 Oh yeah I don’t even know how many miles I put on it but I e been driving it for like 20 years just ever changed the water pump, batteries, timing change with sprocket, valve cover gaskets, clutch And regular tune up stuff but other then that she’s been solid. Time for a good engine rebuild, I have the block at a machine shop now waiting for a call this week. Yeah those 5.4 modular dual cam engines I don’t like, I wouldn’t mind an older 351 regular 1 cam old engine. I would probably twist my frame with that though. lol. Glad to hear from you man
HEY BRO!!!! Its Great to hear from you. Sweet Ride there. Keep Rockin,,,,,,,,,
@@wallyinthebox1 what’s up Man. Great to hear from you to. Thank dude hopefully she will look better when I’m done with it. Rock on!
lol, messes with the trem with non stock parts and complains it doesn’t stay in tune sounds like an intonation issue
@@helio1055 nah the only reason I did it is because the fine tuners were wiggly from Stock. So yeah that’s why I messed with it like you said but I only made it better. The guitar is rock solid now. Used it for band rehearsal no tuning issues. Maybe not all of them come like that from the factory but mine did so I had to make it better

FR specials are okay, but the screws and the saddle blocks are not nice. I also bought this kit and it made a mayor difference. but I would not say that the Floyd Rose Special is shit, I have a special, a 1000 and I used to have an original (german) one, which I don't miss at all. after this upgrade I have no complaints whatsoever about the special.
@@pixieloco hey there. Yes I agree there are some old Floyd rose specials that were made good, but this new one I got was shit. lol. Thanks for watching
Ive done this upgrade to all 6 of my jackson guitars...major difference...and well worth it...
@@AbsoluteAdrenaline1 for sure yes. I’ve done to 2 of mine already. Thanks for checking it out .
I just did this brass claw and brass L block upgrade,as well as the Kaish stainless steel hardware and new Floyd rose bridge saddles on my winter camo Jackson Soloist....major difference...I totally recommend these upgrades for any Jackson guitar...
@@AbsoluteAdrenaline1 yes for sure. Thanks for watching
how you get the backing track?
If I recall correctly I was just playing over the original track.
In the specifications of the guitar, Epiphone writes that the tuning machines are Grover but I and so many other people when we bought this guitar realized that they are Wilkinson instead. Do you know what happened?
@@HeartYougdda I have no idea mine don’t even have a brand. But I did buy some Gibson brand replacement same style with green pegs.
What do u think about this guitar.?
@@Mr_Helper_Mizo I have been using it and I like it after I installed the stainless steel Floyd rose screw kit because my high E string was slipping out, also when I bought it I returned it because the trem was hitting the body cavity on the side. So this is my second one and I had to lower the locking nut on the head stock because it was too high from the factory. In my opinion get the higher end Kramers it seems like they don’t pay to much attention to these cheaper guitars when they ship them out. But if you are willing to modify it to make it great then yeah!
sounds like a personal issue...mines fine..glad ya fixed it tho...lol
@@JayBirdGuitars yeah bro. My fine tuners were all wiggly and as soon as I put my palm in the area touching them it would go slightly out of tune I am glad yours is good. Thanks for watching. ✌️
Apakah bisa digunakan untuk 2 digital multi effect?
@@WahyuEPNgeUA-cam Hi. I don’t understand the question exactly but if you are asking if you can connect it to a multi effects pedal in line with it. Yes it shouldn’t be a problem. Although I did point out that this brand makes a lot of noise when connected to 2 amps. Get the one with a ground loop.
thanks for this info, i think my problem is getting the nut screws tight enough
Oh yes those need to be tight for sure
Sorry your had so many issues. I was lucky, mine (Left handed Majestic Purple) arrived in perfect condition. Frets were already smooth, and rolled at the edges, locking nut was perfect, everything about it was perfecto. All i really had to do was install new strings, and adjust the action to an even floating style I favor. String action adjusted to a lower level without buzzing of any kind. For the cheap price it costed, I was very impressed with what I received. Still haven't modded it in any kind of way since the electronics seem solid, and the pickups suit me enough. I almost feel dumb for having paid so much for a lefty EVH Striped Series guitar, actually when all I need to do is install the original pickup my EVH Striped Series came with (I replaced the EVH Wolfgang Pickup with an EVH Frankenstein pickup which is closer voiced to what Eddy;s OG Frankie had) onto this Kramer, and presto, I'd essentially have another EVH guitar since the necks are so damn close in feel, quality, and style. Kramer knocked it out of the ballpark with this one. I'm contemplating on buying the Ebony colored one. *ZZounds.com
Gotta love having to fix manufacturers problems. It's good to see you bro.
Keeps me busy. LOL. They should pay me to solve their problems. Good to see you too bro!
Thank you so much for buying the brass claw from us. We really appreciate your big support. - Nina ☺
It’s a great product. Keep up the good work.
I just ordered one of these for my Gibson Les Paul studio satin ebony. I was searching different videos for pickups for my LP and found your video which was the deciding factor for me. That thing sounds killer I can’t wait to install it in my Les Paul!
Yes if you have low output pickups or just cheap pick ups it can make a night and fay difference. It did with mine specially if you play Metal
I've had mine since November,Im still working on get it setup like I want it. can I lower the action on it by screwing the bolts that hold the tremelo in place down?if anyone has any advice on getting the action lower I'd appreciate it. Thanks for the video man, good demo on this guitar 😊😊
There are many ways to set the action like by the tremolo bolts yes, in conjunction if your neck has to mutch bow making it straighter might lower it and make it more playable around the first frets towards the middle of the neck also if your locking nut on the headstock is too high that will affect the height overall but more towards the headstock frets. I would take it to a luthier and have it set up all the way around to be honest, but play with the tremolo screws a bit see if you can get it where you feel its good enough, don't forget to loosen the string tension before you turn those screws.
@@therocknrollguitarlounge7057 thank you so much
Is this device still supported in 2024?
You could probably download the program you need at line 6 website i already have it installed on my pc a long time ago still works great.
How is the fret finish and its edges ?
Edges came good no sharp edges, but the fret leveling could be better.
Just get a 1000 series or an Original. Screw trying to replace and upgrade parts on a special. More money in the end.
You are right that is the best thing to do , i just like tinkering with stuff, works like a charm now though. ✌
Cool Vid’ fella! Love the VIBE! 😎
Thanks my friend. ✌
Played my first KRAMER a few weeks ago and 🤩I am so impressed with this brand! Gotta check out the Stryker 🎸
its hit or miss with the quality right now with Kramer, If you get something in the 1000.00 range you should be good. Thanks for checking the vid out.
Update 3-17-24 My ABY Box started making really bad ground noise with 2 amps connected and or the 2 guitar one amp method. Get one with a ground loop, I have hardly used this thing had it sitting since when i made this video and now its bad. plenty of better products out there. This video will give you info on how you can make use out of one of these ABY Box pedals.
Thanks bro! I never ever thought of that idea of leaving the jagged bit rite after the ball. Using that for extra friction! I will be ordering that kit plus on a Westone WE2500TBU, A previous owner stripped out the heads of the 2 screws that go down threw the knife edge pieces/post screws & they look horrible. I just can't find them.
For sure bro. The kit works great. Hope you find the parts you need. Rock on! ✌️
Pretty crazy difference after application. Over time though, it does deteriorate. How often do you recommend applying? Nice rundown of the process!
I noticed the most difference while playing in front of my amp in the garage, it's much quieter now. I would say just give it an xtra coat if you ever change a pot or a pickup or something but they say it starts cracking or separating and that can be a sign it needs a coat. Thanks for checking the vid out man, always appreciate it. ✌️
