Don’t remember if you mentioned getting them resoled, but it’s a very good idea and can make your boots last much longer for a lot less money without having to break in a new pair!? 🙏🇺🇸💪🏻
Whats great about red wings is that because they are built in a traditional fashion, they can be serviced by any old cobbler/shoe maker. Unlike most of the newer boots that just fall apart and are built to be thrown away, rather than repaired. I just got my first pair finally, and already love them after only 3 days (34.5 hours) of work in them! I got the gortex, and they are completely water proof!
a well worked boot! I love the King Toe. I usualy replace mine after 3 to 4 years give or take. But I have a bad knee and walk funny and have to get into messes that make the boot nasty after a while. You can only clean it so much. Not a tough of a boot as yours, No where near but as comfortable as it gets. Looking at your boots im going to guess the king toe would last 2 years on you.
Is that continuous use, or off and on use? I'm asking because I'm seriously contemplating getting a pair of redwings for myself, and if a pair will last 6 years of almost daily use then I'm getting some the next chance I get.
I have had my Redwing logger for around the same lasting time with all of them especially if you live close to a Red Wing dealer they will baby your boots and replace shoelaces when ever you want also rewaterproof them for no charge ..
Bro I found out after my first year of owning my first pair of worx redwing from my local shop I was told to bring them in anytime to get oiled or cleaned. They were yellow now they true color is brown ish
Thanks man I got 2 cheap pairs in 5 months didn’t wanna spend money but did it hoping it was worth it and this makes me feel better about spending thst money 😵💫👊😅😎
not to mention the levels are absolutely worthless. and the problem with the legs is that there is a spike protruding from the rubber! I had to screw it in to conceal it for the rubber to make contact. waste of money man. also, you can't pan the head 360 without the pistol grip.
Yeah I’m 14 fixing to work for a guy where it is required to have steel toe work boots so I was looking around and you know not having a real need for good reliable boots I never needed a good pair until now and the number one brand I’ve heard that’s reliable is red wing so right now I’m saving up to get a pair of them
I resole mine and replace the foot bed. Note, replace the sole before it wears through. Usually one resole is all I do. After that, the leather stinks too much. 8 year shoe. Finest boot ever made. Red Wing #2412. Roofers, get the toe protector.
Redwing 🤣 👌. I take it you're not aware of boots such as Nick's, Wescos, White's, or Hoffman?? You happy with boots that lasted 6 years? Try a pair that'll last 20.
I got the exact same shoe, got them fall 2014 still have them now 2021, but mine look wayy better than yours kuz every few months i use saddle soap and condition them with huberds or howards leather conditioner and good to go. You can actually still clean those old ones up really good and still last you alot longer
Red Wing Shoes Work line of boots: all low quality except for the USA made models. Heritage line of boots: all USA made and great but aren’t comfortable enough for work although they are tough enough.
Thank you for showing this. I was thinking about drilling for my tap too... but realised that i would never be able to drill that deep with my current tools. You saved me a mistake thanks :-)
Yes. A little over $100, we can send the old ones off to Red Wing to be resoled, cleaned, and reconditioned. For another $30 you can add some tuff toe to the front and get even more life out of the old boots. Then you can have two pair to swap on a daily basis and increase the life out of both pair. Our little saying at our little store in Louisiana is, “you change your shirt every day, you change your pants everyday, but we wear the same boots everyday and our boots are what take all the abuse.” I’m proud to watch such positive responses from customers, especially when they were on the fence about spending their hard earned money on a premium product. It always feels good when you get a good return on your investment! Great review!
@@VinnyGjokaj I finally got around to checking out the sink that you made. Outstanding. Looks so good. Also, I was checking out your other videos, looks like you were a track athlete at Michigan State. I have 2 sons that were D1 track athletes. One at Notre Dame and one at Marquette. I have a suspicion that you guys must have been in the same meets at the same time. Both were decathletes. In high school they would compete against Tim Ehrhardt alot. If you were on the track team then you must know him. Also outstanding bench press.
@@darrellswanberg1211 Oh i totally believe we were! I know TIm very well!! We were on the team at the same time! Thanks so much, those are some old videos, i recently got 405 for 15 on the bench! I appreciate you wtaching my video!
darrell swanberg actually I plan to take my truck with a camper on the back next month! Thanks to you, I am now applying for a permit, thanks for the info!
Thanks for the honest review. I was just trying to decide between this one the Vanguard Alta Pro 263AGH for my wife for Christmas... I think I'll go with the Vangaurd.

The made in USA versions are expensive now, well over $320 now but they are really good though .

I have red wings on my feet Right now I like them I'm going to condition them in the spring.
Now a days the junk 3, 4 or 6 month boots are 150 to 200 dollars. What a scam
I got 10 years out of my 2406’s and that was with one resole. Just bought my third pair. (The first lasted 6 years.)

The tough toe would’ve saved the toe
Worn thru toe is called character....of a hard worker man...

I've been waiting for 2 weeks and there is still not a tracking. Thanks for the upload.
You are great sir ji
wow. great.
Yes they might be tough but there is one thing the last that it was made on is no good, I can explain if need be
Great review.... what size do those happen to be.
Those are 13

Yes some US made boots will last much longer then Red wings
@@andrewfried3144 Red Wing have some US made boots
Most people don’t want to spent $600 to $750 for boots .
The more well worn, beat up, broken in, dirty the boot, the more I like.
Mine looked like that after 10months. Sewage and all the chemicals just eat shit away. Thank god work hands boots out like candy
I have this tripod. My issue is that it won’t hold my camera. The pivot won’t lock in on the pistol grip. 👎🏻
like others said, theres stil life in those. tough tough a cleaning, and a conditioning

Thank you. What did you use to drill the faucet hall ?
I went to Lowe's and bought a diamond tip drill bit. I think it was an inch and an eighth. I think it cost me forty something dollars
Thank you for sharing your experience. This was a really helpful review.
The best boots..I particularly own three pairs..
Well worth the money!

Thank you, will not be ordering from this company in the future. Customer service is important to me.
Omg thanks for this, I was just about to order from there
For $100 bucks they would have cleaned it for you and resoled it
i did not know that. But how long does that take?

@@darrellswanberg1211 yea man, redwings has pretty awesome benefits
Was just told by RW. That it's 125.00
Hose the dirt off and oil them every month or so and they'll last even longer.
That model is there toughest 🇺🇸 made work boot that comes just about every option available and every size from 7 to 15. 👍🏼
What’s the model?
Thinking about getting another pair?
I carved a vessel sink out of a rock too, Like you said in your video about the faucet, I did do a wall mounted faucet!
Wow. I would love to see it. Do you have a video of it anywhere? Or do you have a photo you could send me?
darrell swanberg on my channel I did post a video on it!
