I really wish the devs made more dynamic moments like this on their level design.

too perfect to be real, nice!
Gimme the Gep gun.
I loved to do this in my playthroughs. It’s so badass.
UNATCO?
I always wished there were more sections like this in the airport and more enemies on these escalators
This is genius combo!
I had this on PS2 and Amazing Track right there 👍
amazing
really great mix! I've listened to Mothership Loudspeakers' remix of this so many times now that I keep mentally bracing myself for the tune to go turbo mode
the slide was sick

sick, I love this part
Max payne 3 is a peak action game. Super well designed.
love it
I asked for this
Heard this in a gmod build server once in the late hours of the night a few years back
Beautiful piece.
When this song started to play then the game really began.
Very nice!
Seeing stuff like this makes me sometimes wish that I all trackers have cross compatibility. Trackers are completely incompatible with one another and I unfortunately cannot seem to figure out how these old trackers work. I sometimes wish these old trackers at least work like Furnace Tracker.
Schism tracker can convert between MOD IT S3M pretty well
I use "modplug tracker". i never understood how to make a tracker music (mod, s3m, it, name it).
@@Sypaka I use Furnace Tracker and Famitracker respectively. The problem is that I had to relearn how to use each one because both trackers work slightly differently compared to one another. When I downloaded Impulse Tracker, it worked in a way that is absolutely completely different in every way that I gave up trying to use it altogether, at least Furnace Tracker and Famitracker both work somewhat similarly.
Didn't know Michiel did this one, but his signature style is all there.
Also I guess this explains why the AoW soundtrack had file extension .IT Literally never heard about this thing till today.
The intro arp sounds quite similar to Foregone Destruction actually.
need a 4 hours version of this
makes me nostalgic for a time I wasn't really around for...at least not aware of yet
I feel the same way! I was born in late nineties and did not play this game untill recently, but I feel nostalgia as if I had played it as a teenager when it only came out in 2000.
Why do I like the design of the display, I never even used any retro sound system.
Great

Beautiful stuff
I love the fact that there is a genre of music that is solely due to the type of DAW it was made on. Trackers are here to stay, albeit in a very fringe way.

How did you know?
Boom
Oooh, I didn't know the original had an opening. Andrew was quite a trackerscene wiz. Epic having a module player in their Unreal game series for the music was brilliance. It provided near-CD quality at lesser size. It also allowed for playing modules from set positions, allowing for dynamic shifts depending on the atmosphere (one had three specific triggers!).
que lindo gracias amigo
This song is such a masterpiece. I can listen to it on loop for hours and never get tired. Such a mood. Great for programming or working too.
Thx for the idea, going to try it
Damn. You're right. It'd fit right in with the soundtrack for Uplink. There's another game that uses tracker music.
Come to think of it we've all listened to it on a loop for hours without even trying. :)
Wait what is this software? And can I make music with it?
This software is called 'impulse tracker', yep you can make music with it. I highly recommend 'Trackers - The Sound of 16-Bit" video from the Ahoy UA-cam channel, if you want to know more about it's applications and history of it
Wasn´t updated since 1999, way too outdated. lol
@@RicquilaSunset Dude I have to share this with you! I have downloaded OpenMPT and it's the best toy/tool in the shape of software that I have gotten in the longest time. My laptop is literally an instrument of music for me now. I am so happy I was randomly recommended this by UA-cam. And you recommending that video was really good too as it took me deeper into this world, thank you for that! Along side gaming, this is something I am using hours on, and I am slowly learning more little by little. My proudest tiny accomplishment so far has been recreating the Music Box from Silent Hill 2, using the MIDI library that comes with it. It almost sounds 1 to 1 and I get to learn about notes first hand! I play a little guitar but I never had the patience to read and learn about notes, but this takes it straight into practice! I love this sooo much! Other than I have also been cutting and making samples from various songs just to experiment with it. If songs are various slabs of meat and other food, then OpenMPT is like a sharp kitchen knife among all the other cutlery you need to make and mix your own music. I have also recreated the PowerPuff Girls theme, though it sounds a little cursed because I struggle to find sounds that are very close to the real deal without literally taking samples from the original theme. I am in love with Impulse Trackers now!
I remember my first attempts at making music using Fast Tracker II! I never really figured it out but I managed to make something resembling music I guess :)
Sure can. That's what Impulse Tracker was made for. The big 3 of Scream Tracker 3, Fast Tracker 2 and Impulse Tracker are all DOS programs from the early-to-mid 1990s, but there are trackers for modern operating systems, such as Milky Tracker and Schism Tracker, which support their formats. Milky Tracker is inspired by Fast Tracker 2, and Schism Tracker is a clone of Impulse Tracker (which itself is a clone of Scream Tracker 3, but lacking FM support). Just did a quick test of both on Linux Mint regarding their S3M support and while Milky Tracker doesn't support FM (not that surprising, given FT2 doesn't), Schism Tracker does. Even better, _it supports hybrid files!_ That's pretty impressive. Support for S3M files with FM instruments is rare. Support for hybrid S3M files with both FM and samples is _incredibly_ rare. This brings my list of programs which will correctly play hybrid S3M files up to three: Scream Tracker 3, VLC Media Player, and Schism Tracker. Yeah, I was really surprised that VLC supported S3M at all, let alone hybrid S3M. You tend to think of it as being for video. A dishonourable mention goes to XMP for Android, which HAD support at one point, and then removed it. Most programs that support S3M will do one of three things when fed a hybrid file: 1. They'll only play the sampled parts and skip the FM. 2. They'll play the FM parts and skip the samples. 3. They'll just refuse to play it outright (Open Cubic Player does this, but will play FM-only and sample-only S3M files just fine).
Nostalgia
How did you get the sequence file?
i opened the game files using winrar, from there i got the assets. but I'm afraid you can't do that now since its encrypted
@@RicquilaSunset Oh what the hell! I figured i could just rip them like Deus Ex or Unreal Tournament or something but they thought of that already. lmao
Sampling never gets out of date!
Were there any samples that were used for this track?
@@justanotherarchive6599 all "instruments" featured down to the drums are sampled, then synthesized into all sorts of notes, thats how they produce tracks in video games since the 80s due to technical limitations. but sampling nowadays is also what ytpmv makers use for their content, by using all sorts of sources, even ones that we dont call instruments, to create melody. ofc nowadays game studios often have their own orchestra, but "sampling" also evolves and is stronger than ever
