NIce product and good price! I would recommend one video for those just installing the rear rack, and another for folks installing the rear and side racks. The install kit I got had parts for both options, which made it confusing. Also, the video does not tell you the side covers must be installed BEFORE the side racks, and that to remove the side covers later, the side rack must be loosened, but not removed - important to carry the tools to do that outside the bike somewhere. Finally, I had to shim the bolts for the side racks (with 3 washers) located toward the front of the racks as they were going in so far, they were impacting the air box - same with those that connect the side to top racks - 2 washers there to make room for the bolt on the underside. None of the bolts or parts are labeled, so this install could be challenging for those who are less mechanical.

Does this side rack work with the oem yqmaha rack ?

After the installation of the rack with the bags, does the pillion still have enough room to fit? I often ride with someone on the back and I wonder if this would lead to problems regarding the passanger's comfort. Thanks

Does this fit on a KLX300R without modification?

Glad to have the video. My installation kit was missing all 8 washers. Also, I have a 2022 XT250 and the spacers for the rack to mount onto the bracket are about twice as thick as they need to be, so I mounted without them....there was no way that thing was going on with those spacers in there. I had to remove my helmet lock in order to get the left side bracket on, so that's a loss. Overall, it looks good and it's solidly installed....but it was a pain in the behind for me because I spent time trying to get those spacers in there.

Since you have to remove the hand holds, does the front of the rack bars act as hand holds or are they too close to the fender? Thank you

My bike is the non street legal model and it does not have that rear welded tab.

I am sorry to be dense, two questions: * The oval shaped hole is on the back mounting location, correct? * Mine didn't some with the stickers on the bracket. I have tried to figure it out from your picture - but to make sure - the bracket is mounted narrow in front, wider in back, with the 'u' shape facing down, correct? Thank you. This video was very helpful. Not sure I could have even attempted with the written instructions and pictures.

2020 dr 650 5/16/22 came in installed in 10 minutes. Good fit, well satisfied!

The paper instructions that came with the product were terrible. They spoke of stickers on the stamped brackets showing right and left, not there. The photos on the back of the sheet were next to useless. Fortunately, I knew that someone knew how to install the rack and I found your video. I could not have installed the rack without seeing your youtube. I just can't believe that the instruction sheet didn't even give the manufacturer's name or even a link to your youtube, I bought the rack from Amazon. The fit was not perfect, some of the spacing was off a bit, suspect your welding jig was less than perfect, I had to force things in order to get the four bolts to line up. Although I had some problems installing, again, couldn't have done it without your youtube, thank you. Jim

Your packaging department must be slacking pretty bad because the mounting brackets for the rack I received didn't have those little direction stickers on them. Luckily for me I do have common sense and figured them out easily.

This video is so much better than the cheesy paper instructions that came with my rack. Thank you so very much for sharing.
