    I bought it brand new when it was released, I paid $200 just for the tool. I'm a car mechanic but also Japanese so I didn't want to go team RED, so I have impact driver, drill, high torque impact, grinder everything with Makita. But man I really really hate this cordless ratchet. Battery portion is too fat and its not useful. Rotation switch design is suck as you mentioned. For cordless ratchet, I highly recommend Milwaukee the team red. Especially they released the "insider" version recently and that tool can use both 1/4 and 3/8. also pass thru.

    • @facelesspsycho8252

    I have the same problem. I was able to load it with wd40 and run it until I restored enough torque to do low torque stuff. You can purchase the gears online to rebuild it but i haven't got around to doing that. I think the head gets loaded with grits during use and that wears the gears.

  • @randyvilleneuve4907
    @randyvilleneuve4907 Рік тому

    I also have Makita 18V tools. Home depot has a deal now that for $199 you get two batteries, a charger, and a free tool which you can get the ratchet if you want. I figured that would be great , two more batteries and a charger and this ratchet. After seeing the reviews on it where it would not even loosen a 20 ft-lb freshly installed nut and your review I decided to get the Ridged 18v right angle 3/8" impact, 2 Batteries, charger and free router for $300. I really wanted an impact vs driver anyway but the driver should be able to remove a 20-30 ft-lb nut or bolt as my 3/8" air ratchet will with no issue.

    • @facelesspsycho8252
      @facelesspsycho8252 Рік тому

      Nice I hope that ridged works well for you. I took advantage of the batery deal at home depot. Then I ended up needing a cordless Reciprocating saw so I bought the Two pack of batteries and got the free tool.
