Dark Reign 2 - music fix

Fix to get the music working in Dark Reign 2. Simply rename dr2.exe to dkreign.exe ;). Someone mentioned this makes the game unplayable for them. Worked fine for me, so not shure how good this will work.

It's amazing what a little harmony will do
now that is fantastic talent 😇
El mejor SOLO DE VIOLIN de todos los tiempooooooos 🤩🤩🥳🥳
My favorite part in this movie and Billy Bob Thornton's best performance!
Maybe the best scene in a highly underrated movie.
Queria que essa música fosse mais longa
Music doth soothe the savage beast.
There was a Scotsman at the Alamo who played the bagpipes and had his with him- so the Mexicans probably heard the pipes play more than once.
HE PLAYED A DAMN FIDDLE -Miller
❤❤😂😂
Davey Crocket might have been born and raised in Tennessee but he’ll always be an honorary Texan
Well, cpretty much everyone in the alamo was born somewhere else lmao
Hadn't seen this movie since around 2010, but had to come back after catching some clips of Billy Bob in the new Taylor Sheridan show "Landman." I remembered Billy Bob putting up a great performance here, and boy did my memory serve me well. This movie actually holds up a lot better than I expected it to. Great movie, great story, great acting from one of the most underrated actors I've seen. Gotta go back and watch this whole movie again.
0:15 what the dog doin?
Good doggy
"Just listen then..." - Best line.
To me and so many others, music is a universal language that transcends all boundaries; it reaches the soul when words are useless. Whenever I watch this scene, I always imagine that both sides are speaking to each other through their respective tunes; the tune of “Deguello” is the Mexican Army saying “ We have you outnumbered. Your deaths are imminent.” But as Crocket begins to play, you can almost hear the unspoken words from the fiddle, “we see you, and we recognize that our situation is quite precarious. We are well aware that many, if not all of us will die.” But at 1:40, those aggressive riffs are saying “but you best believe we are going to die fighting.” God Rest Davy Crockett and the Defenders of the Alamo.

I cry every time I listen to this music. And I LOVED the show, and I adored Anne. I truly wished that growing up, I had a friend like her, because we would’ve been soul mates. They finish meaningful programs, but keep the crap, it stays forever.
who's here in 2024. REMEMBER the Alamo. this was my favorite part of the movie as a kid. a beautiful show of humanity ability to romance even before all hell breaks loose
Onion headache omgg lol
i remember watching this in elementary school in history class i hated history class but i loved this part of the movie its like the only part i remember and i randomly js remembered i js graduated highschool and started college this fall so crazy.
Still not fixed lol
Might be me but looking at the closeups of the defenders watching him play are some of the guys that end up with him at the end before the final charge
Human spirit
Very sinister. Nice.
Funny how Hollywood made it out to be so historically inaccurate that people believe this. War isn’t pretty and the true story isn’t even close to this dream. They cut them down and made a point to Texas.
Como a extrañar esta musica, necesito la temporada 4 😢
Brilliant! By playing his fiddle, Crockett not only demostrated harmony, that both people, though on opposite sides of the conflict, were still human beings and thus capable of harmony, but also showed defiance, as in even if they didn't have a chance at the end of the day, they still had spirit, and weren't gonna go out quietly.
Still here in 2024 🙋🏽♀️ such a beautiful melody ! By far the best scene in this movie ❤️
The Alamo(Either verson) is a cinematic master-piece, a gen- uine classic.-Who ever thought to cast Billy-Bob Thorton as Davy Crockett, got it right! Film making @ its finest! 🍒BloodRed🍒
I don’t know if David Crockett played the violin? But if he did, I’m sure it was amazing and I believe he probably did do this during the time before the final battle🎻 and I think it was really good
They really need to release the 3 hour director's cut of this already.
Yes
And at least put this on Blu ray
El toque "a degüello" puede ser contraproducente. Si bien su objetivo es acobardar al enemigo, sabiendo que no se aceptarán rendiciones, éstos también asumen que no queda otra más que luchar sin cuartel, lo cual envalentona
Hey! I have only seen the original film, my quiestion is wether this one is worth watching over the old one?
I haven't seen the original. Personally I found this movie boring the first time I saw it, but that was in primary school or start of highschool maybe. I saw this movie a few times afterwards and though it's not a solidly good movie I like the atmosphere and characters. Some are over the top/cliché (like Santa Anna), but the characters are pretty distinct which I enjoyed. At the end it's really moody and atmospheric and mixes the feelings of triumph of such a bold standoff with sadness of the situation. The whole movie is made without CGI (which could have been used in 2004), so it looks quite real. Wheter it's worth watching depends on your interest. In general i would say movie-wise this is not a movie I would recommend to friends or family. If you are interested in the Alamo or in history in general and/or like atmospheric films and you don't mind trying out movies this might be worth watching. I think this movie has to hit some interest or feeling for it to be worth it, because it lacks in other areas, like good story, good story flow/balance of emotional triggers or interesting things.
This film is more historically accurate than the older one with the Duke.
Thanks for the answers i will watch it 🙏😌
Does anyone knows the soundtrack name of the scene when Mat'u went to fetch Anne for the first time? 😶🌫
Do you mean in the first scene of the first episode? That is called 'The Growing Storm'.
No🙈 The one's Matu rides in a carriage, near Rachell house.. And then in parallel seeing Anne on the train. The real first time he went to fetch Anne
@@elephiant8696 its scene number 2 or 3 at the first episode of season 1
REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!!!
why does this go so hard
As if the Mexicans could hear shit over a drumline and horn section let alone a lone violinist across the water.... Or was it just the fact DAVEY CROCKETT IS THAT GOOD?!
@@RubensBarrichello. No, this is just a movie scene. Like any battle speech in movies. In real life it wouldnt work that well.

THE best depiction of Davy ever
He prefers David.
Not bad
I liked how before Crockett played the masterpiece the Mexicans would bombared them with the canons every night till the last day of the Alamo defenders life until Crockett played it every was silent and no canons were fired after that Crockett’s words: it’s amaze what a little harmony would do.
Yeah!
That tune didn't exist at the time, though Crockett *was* a violinist and fiddled to drown out Deguello after getting tired of hearing it.
Anglo trash.
He says in English.
I bet you're a lot of fun at parties.
The chills a moment like this gives

The sad thing in this movie. Jim bowie saying to that black man you’re my property til the day I die. That comes from the devil. Jesus/God did not create people to own other people as property. That’s the work of the devil. Jesus/God allow the Civil War to take place because he had to purge America of the sin of slavery. The majority of white people wanted nothing to do with slavery. It was a few that was listening to the devil. But even Black people throughout human history have had slaves. Indians of had slaves. Egyptian’s had slaves. Even today people in the Middle East have slaves. So don’t just point a finger at white people. God hates slavery.
Agreed! 💯
@@scotttilson8876 yeah that's one of the main reasons why the Texans rebelled
