SKYWARS 2023 - Blind Pyro Behind the Scenes
Переглядів 252Рік тому
Check out four competitors competing in what Rob Cima has coined, Chopped with Fireworks. Four teams got 6 hours to plan, prep, script, and set up a pyromusical. With lots of quick thinking and no prior knowledge of what fireworks will be provided they must make seat of the pants decisions to choreograph music and pyro before a crowd of their fellow pyros!

Cobra Firing System Unboxing
Переглядів 2 тис.2 роки тому
Join me as I unbox a package from Cobra Firing Systems. This is the first video in a series where I will be taking a in depth look at several firing systems. During this series I am skipping over the marketing materials and looking at Cobra and others from a more technical perspective.

Join me as I unbox a package from Simplifire Mongoose. While I’ve used the Mongoose system before these are the first field units I have owned. This is the first video in a series where I will be taking a in depth look at several firing systems. This year at Skywars I tried to capture some of the Fireball Dudes work on thermal camera. This didn't go quite as planned but the result was still kind of cool.

This controller brings a color screen as well as some other updates to better support the FTQ modules which have been out for some time. Happy New Year 2024, eagerly waiting for the firing systems deep dive videos.

I like the armored case with cn-50 side exits that way you don't have to switch plates
🤤 "promo sm"
Fantastic video!
Nicely done. I appreciate seeing some of the of the behind the scenes shots. Some of that wiring could have used a few more muuxBRD products :)
Thank you so much for putting together this beautiful video. I love it so much. ♥️ The Ground Zero footage is amazing!
Absolutely lovely tribute video for a lovely and amazing tribute shell! Thanks for the ground zero footage!
Dude I had no idea that's how you pronounce your company's name.😂
Total fail on my part picking a name, mux-board
Yes
This is like the relaxing end of pyro
These things are awesome!! such a time saver, space saver, and the cleanup is way easier.
Anyone wanna see how to install a DMX upgrade to this module?
Anyone else wanna see that module taken apart and see how it ticks?
Yes. Dive into it. Software too...
@@dqrp6435 I'm a nuts and bolts guys...Hardware first then maybe I'll get to the software...
yes please do a deep dive on each system
Anything particular you want to see?
@@muuxBRD i would like to see the software on the computer please.
@@njpyrogirl29 that is on the list but initially the videos will be about the hardware. I believe the Mongoose PC software is free if you want to check it out.
beautiful view-📽
Thanks.
Shoulda shot some pyro at the end, lol
Merry Christmas
Excellent edit and footage brother! Some of these shots really show you how bad the smoke can get, and how much it can obscure a show..
Agreed the smoke is a necessary evil, even with the best intentions smoke can really detract or ruin a display.
Farts
epic! this might be the 1st video out there with a thermal shot of a fireball
It won't be the last. I wish I had a better camera.
@@muuxBRD yeah they can get a bit spendy 🤑
Are you going to sponsor next year?
Possibly, I tried two years ago but got in to late. This year I went a different direction with advertising and promotion. Gotta few ideas for next year but not sure yet.
Mfr you didn't bring me a SKI! 😡
That's a REALLY Nice Edit! Great Job with mixing the footage with all the jump cuts, etc! Thanks for the video! It was an impressive event and my first time there. I'm definitely going again next year!
Thanks I'm be no means good at story telling but I just want to show those who can't attend all the work that goes into an event like Skywars.
𝔭𝔯𝔬𝔪𝔬𝔰𝔪 💔
Yeah, I’d love a more in depth video to help the less techy guys like me understand the difference between Parallel and Series.
To series wire quickplug matches I actually use just one quickplug match and the rest regular matches. I do it all ahead at the house, with UY Scotchloks, to save time, sweat, and angst in the field. But I also have Cobra breakout boards to make it even faster.
👍 Tidy looking bit of kit
Ooooo, nice little video. I'm looking forward to trying this out this controller myself. "There is a lot of information on there, and I'm not real sure what all I'm looking at yet." Hey, but it is all green and says OK, so it must be good. 😁 I look forward to your additional videos.
love the videos. your products are great! (Is it possible that you can lower the background music in your videos) 🤗
Was this one louder than others? Or just in general?
@@muuxBRD This one ,the vocal audio in the beginning was distorted and loud. And the audio that plays in the background, just needs to come down a little bit. To hear what you are saying about the product. And in the other videos just the audio in the background music.
@@othisrighthere2862 you are totally correct... I edited this video on a different setup and I must have screwed up something... Thanks for letting me know!
Thanks CJ for pointing out this video really interesting
No problem... I love watching Bill work... Next year is gonna be big... I wish Skywars wasn't so far from you...
Absolutely
Love my MuuxBRDs.
Thank you!
Nice summary videos of the weekend. MOPyro really did a great job hosting, massive thanks to them!
Agreed I had a great time overall, but as with anything there is room for improvement. Looking forward to an even better event next year!
Cool video ! I am your 39th sub, 365
My question is where do I get the ignition systems at???
I seen some run through a cell phone, some have mother boards...
Depends what your looking for, options run the gambit... Check out things like Firefly or IGNITE for entry level... More advanced options Simplifire Mongoose, Cobra, Starfire, Firetek, or FireOne...
@@jurczakc thank you!!!
Very cool! How do the regular public get to see the blinds the night before the big event. Last night was awesome! A few technical glitches by hey it was fantastic! Thank you for sharing this & wow only 4 hours to set it up and it turned out amazing!
The regular public doesn't get to see the Blind Pyro competition, you have to register as a MoPyro member.
You can still register to see the blind event the night before the public show. It's free for MOPYRO members but you can register as a non member and pay the fee and have access to all 4 days Thursday for the meet and greet Friday for set up, PGI shooter course and blind pyro Saturday all day set up and show Sunday clean up. Registration for non MOPYRO members was $35 and you would have to add $75 more for the PGI shooter course!
How do you learn pyro???
Join a local club, or join Pyro Universe on Facebook for starters..
Thanks for sharing CJ 🤝
Nice thorough video - Yes, "keep the quick in quick connect"
Great concept, but can see those pins mashed beyond repair after a few shows
I've been using about 100 quick connect boards like this since about 2015, only had a few get damaged to bad... One of them might have gotten run over by my truck... It didn't survive... It's like anything take care of it and it will take care of you... If you do have to replace them they are way cheaper than typical speaker terminal slats...
I agree with CJ. The trick is training your crew. The temptation is to just rip them out of the board at the end of the night when you’re trying to get things cleaned up quickly. What I do is cut all of the wires with tin snips right at the edge of the board, then the next day when cleaning/stowing my equipment, use a pair of nail pullers to grab 4-6 at a time and pull them STRAIGHT OUT. It’s the bending, or pulling out a bunch at once on an angle that screws things up. With the nail pullers, I can pull 32 quick connects out in about 20 seconds. Nice way to relax actually in a chair with a drink the day after a shoot.
