    This love I agree he would want everyone to let it go I wish Vinnie could have because he'd still be here there was too much screaming from the hallways and not enough from the heart. A fan since power metal and had a chance to meet everyone on vulgar. Dimebag signed my guitar remembered me without it on the second time through Michigan he was who we should all be and remember we're all in this together

    People say she's just a girlfriend, blah blah blah! My parents were together over 25 years before my dad died, they did get married a few months before he passed away; BUT they were already LEGALLY considered married by our state and the federal govt. Because of COMMON LAW. People forget that common law marriage is equal to a contractual marriage. If you cohabitate for 7 years (10 in some states), then that constitutes a common law marriage. Dime and Rita were together for around 20 years, that makes her his WIDOW. Leave her be.. Besides, "making money" off of Dime? Hardly. She was his best friend, he was hers, and they were good together. She is a good woman, and she is doing her best to keep Darrell alive in every way she can. And she recognizes Pantera is a FAMILY, and she is striving (like any good Matriarch should) to keep that family together. She's working through her grief, the fans need to work through it to now.. Phil didn't kill Darrell, and that's not what Vinnie thinks either. He's mad over something else, but Darrell's death was too much for him (it's understandable); And like she says, it's too easy to blame, and let your anger go too far, and rest on the shoulders of those who don't deserve the burden.

    One of the most cringe-worthy interviews I've ever watched. Poor Warrel had to endure this guy's complete inability to connect in a social way. It seemed like the guy had waddled up to him after a show which he obviously wanted to see, and cornered him to talk shit he didn't really want to speak about. I switched off after the "my brother died of a heroin overdose" comment, car crash interviewing skills. And to refer to his bandmate as "SHE" and point like that (forgetting her name after 5 minutes) was horrible to watch.

    • @MarkCarras
      @MarkCarras 11 років тому

      Actually I have known Warrel for decades. I have done interviews with bands for 3 decades. A comment like yours is rare, so it seems that even trolls like you mostly enjoy my work. So please go back into your hole until you can do better. Thanks.

    • @LoneManDead
      @LoneManDead 11 років тому

      Mark Carras Firstly I would like to say thank you, because I didn't think I'd get a reply from this, and I genuinely appreciate your response. I am certainly not a troll in any sense of the word, just a Warrel Dane fan. If it actually was you that conducted this interview then you should really consider another career path, after 3 decades of your expert reporting skills the world has (of course) been a better place. I also haven't seen any of your other "work", however I'll know to avoid it in future as I can't say I "enjoyed" this. I really like the fact that you interviewed Warrel, a guy THAT talented needs to be interviewed and requires more exposure, however your interviewing style left much to be desired. The interview was extremely uncomfortable to watch, it started off well but deteriorated rapidly into a dismissive and fan-boy style. The incomfort in his demeanor, and how you couldn't even remember his friends name said it all. I genuinely wish you all the best in what you do, please just try to conduct your professional affairs better. LoneManDead (The "Troll")

    • @MarkCarras
      @MarkCarras 11 років тому

      I actually don't interview bands any more, but not for the reasons you give. Since I received way more praise for my interviews than anything, I can dismiss you comments as laughable. Does a troll know when they are a troll? It seems not always. We do agree on one thing, Warrel does deserve way more coverage. Sanctuary is finishing their new one now. My friend Brad is on that too. So get an interview with him too. I wish you luck. Don't be afraid to show a personal connection to the music. It's very important for making the interview stick out from the sea of Metal journalists. Seriously, I encourage you to give it a try. You might learn something. ;)

    • @LoneManDead
      @LoneManDead 11 років тому

      Mark Carras Mate, ah don't take the things I said too seriously... I may have had a few brewskies when I'd written those. Keep doing what you're doing, the world is too harsh a place for any more animosity than that's already there. We love the same music, and appreciate the same artists across continents (I'm from Scotland) and that's a great thing in itself if you think about it. Like I said I'm no Troll, just a guy (like you) who loves the music... just felt your interview style in that particular one could've been a bit better presented - but then I'm certainly not a perfect guy either. All the best man, rock on \m/ Stu :)

    • @MarkCarras
      @MarkCarras 10 років тому

      LoneManDead No, no hard feelings at all. That's why I said you should do some interviews yourself. Every Metal fan should. It's an experience all should have I think. I've just done it already and have moved on from it. I personally prefer more personal interviews. Too often the Metal scene becomes something of a campy pissing contest. So sometimes I tried to show a side others do not. I got tons of praise for this interview because of that (not all feedback is on UA-cam). Of course you should feel free to do interviews the way you see best. But Metal is so much deeper than most know. Again, no hard feelings. But please do try to do a few interviews of some artists you love. It will be something you remember your entire life.

    Right on. They said they weren't 'doing there job' or 'selling' for the label - but isn't it just the bands job to write/record/perform good music? It's Heavy fuckin Metal for christ's sake! Metal Blade just wants to sit back with minimal effort for the next Cannibal Corpse or BDM to make them a cash cow. It takes marketing and advertising on top of good music to make a band successful, period. These dudes are level headed as hell- but seriously, Metal Blade wasn't a good move.
