    Hi there - is there a way I can modify the excel file to adjust the Commission %s? The numbers have since changed and I'd like to adjust the analysis

      We could do it, but it would be complicated. You would need to re-record the section you want replaced (presumably on your own instance of Zoom). Then we would download the UA-cam, insert the section, and re-upload the UA-cam video. Is that something you're interested in pursuing?

    Hi there, I have a related question. For some context: I am starting a retail 3rd party delivery company here in Belgium. Urbanization in big cities allows us to use e-bikes rather than cars meaning we're more sustainable. But there recently has been a partnership trial between the largest supermarket and Deliveroo/JustEat to offer fast deliveries within an hour for groceries. They take commissions. We have an alternative business model i.e., a subscription model for partnering retailers. Now is my question the following: do you think nationwide retailers prefer commissions or rather pay a weekly/monthly fee based on their deliveries? Because commissions are around 8-15% meaning their product margins are being pressed. What is the benefit of having 100% revenue as a retailer i.e., no commissions and paying a monthly fee vs. paying commissions per order and having no additional fee? If you could help me out that would mean a lot. Thank you.

      The commission model is by far the oldest and the most preferred revenue model for all marketplace owners. But right now the subscription grocery model is growing more in other parts of the world, like Japan, France, and India. Amazon Fresh appears to use a hybrid model, charging a subscription, but also charging extra for orders under $50. But the subscription model is intriguing, because the grocery chain can more correctly forecast inventory for the upcoming weeks. It seems like an area that's open for development, but it involves changing hearts and minds.

      @@businessimpactross Thanks for the fast answer! I will look into the Amazon Fresh model, thanks. But how come grocers and other retailers can more correctly forecast inventory for the foreseeable future when using a subscription instead of commission model? Is there a reason for that? Again, thank you in advance.

      @@quentin2578 I think the main idea is that grocery chains are less surprised by random orders, and instead get a steady stream of orders from a regular cadre of customers. Plus, as the Economic Times of India recognizes, "The business math behind the subscription model is about reaching customers every day rather than leaving them with the option of placing an order once or twice in a month, which involves enticing them with discounts and offers. The subscription model helps startups hold on to customers without incurring huge costs on acquiring and retaining them." @@businessimpactross I get that, sorry, I think we misunderstood each other. I have a subscription model for customers & a one time order possibilty. But... if a customer orders from our platform, we have a cost-to-serve (deliverer salary) what do you think grocers & retailers like more: that we take a commission of that order i.e., their revenue, or that we charge them for the delivery instead - on a fee per order model which results in a subscription?

    • @businessimpactross
      @businessimpactross 2 роки тому

      @@quentin2578 Sorry I misunderstood you too! In answer to your question, it seems like they would prefer a fee per order model.

    You did not mention that doordash charges extra fees per order for running promotion by restaurants whereas uber eats does not charge that.. So Restaurants are more open to run promotions on uber eats..

      Uber eats does charge marketing though For example if you have a$500 marketing campaign for the week they will deduct that.
