Dutch Mapping
Netherlands
Приєднався 12 лют 2022
Hi! I'm Kaley de Koning. I'm a 22 year old girl from the Netherlands starting out making history and mapping video's on UA-cam! If you like what you see, please give me a like, comment or subscribe!
History of Scotland - Every Year
So, as you can see in the title, here's the history of Scotland! I've started the timeline in 500 CE, when the Irish Dál Riata invaded the region we now call Argyll. These Irish settlers would eventually form the kingdom of Scotland.
It is probable that I may have made mistakes in this video, if you catch any, you can of course let me know :).

Dutch General Election - 22 November 2023

Just a quick video on the last Dutch election to let you all know I'm not dead I guess :)
Mapping the Turkish Presidential Election - May 2023
Переглядів 178Рік тому
So I've been following along with the Turkish presidential election this month and thought it was a good idea for a short little side project while I get ready to take on bigger projects :)
Mapping Every Dutch Election - since 1848
Переглядів 244Рік тому
This is a little bit more of an experimental video. I've attempted to visually represent every free election the kingdom of the Netherlands has had since the signing of the constitution of 1848.
History of Denmark - Every Year
Переглядів 1,4 тис.Рік тому
As advertised, this video shows the history of the kingdom of Denmark. It starts in 936 with the ascension of Gorm the Old, the first king of Denmark with historical authenticity and ends in 2023. I will doubtlessly have made many mistakes, I'm still learning the best ways to do research for these kinds of videos. Feel free to let me know if I messed things up! :)
History of Australia - Every Year
Переглядів 2 тис.Рік тому
Been a while since I uploaded anything, but I'm back now! This video shows the history of Australia, from British colony to independent federation. I would have liked to include some native history as well, but I am very bad at staying focussed on one project for a long time, so this short video is all I could muster :)
History of the Low Countries - Every Year
Переглядів 153 тис.2 роки тому
So this is my first ever video here! It shows the entire history of the region I live in from 700 up to 2021. Note: This video shows the history of the counties and lordships of the Netherlands, so no overarching states such as Francia, Germany or any others, so that's why they're not here :D Music: Now We Ride - Alexander Nakarada Powerful - David Fesliyan
Music List
Gloryhammer fans, I invoke thee!
Thank you for making this video Beannachd ort 🏴🦄❤️
I would like to point out that during the reign of David I, he had control over Cumberland and Northumberland
But the music should have been a klompendans! 😂
Very detailed video, good work
Here's a little tiny suggestion: In 1559, you could put a French Blue line over Scotland since it was basically a junior partner of France (Mary was married to Francis II).
Ah yeah I could have done that, if I ever remake this video I definitely will :) Thanks for the suggestion!
Netherlands I Love ⚔️🛡🦁.
James I of Scotland, what an interesting king. His story is almost too dramatic for a king, but he is Scottish after all. 😅
You need more subs, your videos are so detailed! Respect 😎
Thank you so much for liking my work! :D
This is well-made, loved it :)
Thank you very much :D
Great video! I enjoy your mapping format a lot :)
Thank you so much for liking my work! :D
This king did well.
Oh, wait. You're female. This queen did well.
best timeline 1815 to 1830
sorry but very bad history, Brabant should appear much later (after the fall off nether Lothringia) Where is Hamaland... please do this again....
ER STAAT GROENLO IK WOON DAAR
Great video, really like the colouring!
Thanks! :D
great video, hope to see more!
Thanks, it may take a while but I'll definitely keep making them :)
@@dutchmapping163 nice
This is awesome. Well done. Its always a treat to see your videos.
Thank you so much!!
Cool video!
Thanks! :D
I would love to see either the history of Wales or Ireland next.
Oeh I do quite like the idea of Wales, that might be a contender for one of the next ones!
👀@@dutchmapping163
So yeah, I've been away a while again :p. I can only churn out these videos very occasionally since they do require a lot of work and this is really just a past-time for me right now... Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this instalment! Let me know if there's any suggestions you have for what to make next :D
Making him the longest serving leader of Australia in office for a total of 19 years
Sorry I meant he served 17 years in the second term
Fact Did you know Robert Menzies was the longest serving prime Minister of Australia. He served 2 non executive terms 1st team he served for 2 years or 1939-1941 and 8 years after that he served another non executive term which was for 16 years or 1949-1966 which makes him the longest serving leader of Australia in office for a total of 18 years
My heart always breaks when i see 1258 pop up
Brabant popping up around 840 can’t be right. Brabant started around Brussel and Leuven. Not where North Brabant now is. Land van Ravenstein and other micro states (Megen, Gemert) in north east Brabant are missing.
How can you say "every year" and miss the brabant revolution
nice to finally see you back!
Feel free to give me suggestions for more topics and I might eventually get to them in a couple years! :D
from western Australia 🇦🇺🇧🇷🇨🇦
And the parliamentary election please 14 may 2023. Nice video💪🏽
Feel free to leave me suggestions on what to do next!
nice video, i wonder who will win in the end
one word: WOW, I'm amazed by this. Especially mapping out all municipalities of 1918 must have been a lot of work. Ga zo door!
Thanks for the compliment! Yes, 1918 was a pain to do indeed XD
Huh, it does feel like the borders from Megali are still influential somehow
Many of Türkiye's largest cities are on the mediterranean coast. Most urban regions tend to be more left-leaning in politics. The fact that that corresponds largely to the Megali borders is mostly coincidence I believe.
As @dutchmapping163 said, many people from the coastal regions (+urban areas) are voting for the center-left/moderate parties so it has nothing to do with Megali Idea.
How much quality
Thank you! I try my best :D
Nice video, this deserves more recognition
Thank you! :)
The fade-to-black makes it kind of hard to see the differences, I think that more of a time-lapse view showing continuous change would help a lot. Nice video though!
That's a good point, will probably go for that in the future!
It's painful to see the transformation from liberalism towards confessionalism and then into the extremist autoritarianism we have today. But a great video, well done!
extremist authoritarianism?
Nice video
Feel free to leave comments on this video or suggestions for others here :)
Willem V was not a "Monarch" ...
1815 is perfect!
Missing a couple things with Greenland but overall good
Interesting to see how big Zutphen used to be and how small it is nowadays.
I know English and Dutch have similar origins but it was just the other day I realised we use the word "Nether" in English too, in reference to the "Netherworld". That being hell, aka the world below.
Nicely done. You ain’t much if you ain’t Dutch afterall
Not sure from which viewpoint this is taken? I see English, Dutch and French names? Also Charles I was named here Karel V
It's taken from an international perspective as a baseline. I started out using more Dutch names before I got a rigid style down, that's why there are some of those still in the end of the timeline. The French names are there because that is what those places are called in English, and monarchs in an international setting go by their Anglified names. Hope this helps :)
Knap stukje werk!
