i don’t see how. i think this is a great scene
never out of character. he never cared about collateral. hence the car crash scene at the funeral. he was just insane the whole time

You think Paul Dano took some inspiration from Heath Ledger’s Joker for his Riddler when he was filming the broadcasting scenes because when ledger was doing the dark knight he filmed the scenes where he had hostages or prisoners by himself because he was inspired to do directing himself
