So many of these look so promising. But if only 10% of these end up even worth playing, I will be impressed. 2024 has me so gun-shy to buy anything since there was so much cute but disappointedly clunky, poorly implemented, unfinished, or outright boring bunk. I can’t even trust UA-cam cozy gamers for honest reviews because they are all just grinding out the first reviews which are really just first looks before putting in the hours of game play. Then you finally get their honest opinions at the end of the year with all their “games I regret buying” which feels more like content filter, either an after thought, following a trend, or covering their bums after recommending a very bad game in the first days of release. Just so hard to find an honest review in the first weeks/months. Everyone is blinded by shiny graphics and promises as a bunch of junk is being dumped in this new genre that is being viewed as a cash cow of naive gamers by too many devs and publishers. I am jaded and grumpy about it all. And while I am closely following 5 of these games, I likely won’t even remotely consider buying until 2026 or later just to make sure I’m not being sold a bill of goods.

9:13 I haven’t finished the video yet but so far the terraforming reminds me A LOT of an old game I use to love called Viva Piñata!! You would terraform the land (dirt, grass, water, etc.) to make your farm suitable for certain creatures (piñatas) to move in!
