i was so scared because it was not working but then a angle like you came in my life and helped md a lot i am soo happy and you are very informative for me and once again thankyou
my pc keeps doing this, method works, but keeps happening, i notice you clear motherboard batt info by holding 5 seconds w/o battery. so is it the main battery in long run? or is there a cmos battery in this ?
I was having start issues, I tried to press the power button too many times, it didn't work I thought that it was on low battery, so I connected it in charger. After 5 min, I pressed the power button again, but nothing occurred. Then I tried to revome The battery, I couldn't cause I don't know how 😅😅... Then I opened this video and pressed the power button one last time and it worked😅😅 Anyway, thanks for the tips 🙏🙏
Unfortunately the only way we found to restore the unit was to remove the hard drive save the important files and reformat so windows 8.1 can be reinstalled. Then the hard part the BIOS has been corrupted by windows 10 so rather than replace the mother board (expensive) the BIOS chip need to be replaced (about £16.00) but requires some fine soldering . Then reboot and reinstall windows 8.1. . HP and Microsaoft have failed thier customers as they where aware this unit had not been tested for compatablity.

Hi, I have same laptop and problem. Did you solve it? how?
When I saw your guys is comments and video, something popped in my mind that the battery bitched out.
What is this dark magic? 😂
You save my lifeeeee thank you so much
Youre my hero
It's happened to me this morning
Hi I bought a laptop from the same model but with the latest update 1.40 it has the same problem and did not fix the above.
820 g3 won't boot from anything arrow keys don't work or the trackpad
Guys try taking out your ram and putting it back in.
Battery failure
That will not work on an Envy 23 .
Pathetic, You have to take the thing apart to do a boot. A laptop should at least boot properly. Thanks I won't be buying a new HP brand laptop.
Thank you SO MUCH for saving me with this one!
Thankss

I just recovered this problem . just take out both RAM And battery and ax adapter and then plug it again and it worked :)
