Les Paul...almost GUITAR BODY FOR PICKUPS - PART 5 - FINAL
Переглядів 4611 місяців тому
A few months and the guitar is finished. Last month I worked on electronics. The coils were not disconnected in the original version, so I had to change it. I tried several other connection methods, but I decided to disconnect the coils independently, which gives 8 sound settings. Specification Neck: - Maple rosewood - Scale 25.5 inches, - Radius 12" - Jumbo frets 21 pcs. Body: - Five-piece por...

GRINDING ROLLER I made myself a new Grinding Roler tool. I used a roller of two rollers with a diameter of 40 mm and a length of 100 mm. Both have holes drilled for an M8 threaded rod, approximately 270 mm long. There are 2 bearings mounted in one shaft - the handle. Everything is screwed together with nuts. Sandpaper is inserted into the slot and glued with double-sided tape. It is perfect for...

Is it even possible to assemble an electric guitar in 15 minutes? I bought a Harley Benton Electric Guitar Kit T-Style, from Thomann, and decided to challenge myself to see if I could assemble a guitar in 15 minutes. Super gitary. Dobra robota.😊❤
No właśnie ty nie jesteś gitarzystą a lutnikiem amatorem.

Ciekawa gitara. Robisz gitary na zamówienie?
What brand of the tube? Thank's.
Nice
Dude, nice 😎
Well done. The test aren't that nad. Good luck.
Awesome! You’ve inspired my next build. The wiring is the challenge. Would love to see your wiring diagram in detail and links to your parts sources.
I had many connection attempts and many tests. Ultimately, what satisfied me was: Position 1 (bridge) Humbacker where the tone is a tone with a 22nF capacitor, the same applies to position 5 (neck) where I connected only one coil.
As for positions 2,3,4, it is a combination of humbaker connections (or one coil) with a parallel connection of the bridge piezo and microphone piezo. The tone pot is used to mix the pickup with the piezo.
Position 2 is the humbaker permanently connected and we add the piezo signal to the tone potentiometer. Position 3 is two permanently connected piezos and we add the signal from the humbaker. Position 4 is a single coil permanently connected and saturated with two piezos connected in parallel.
It should be added that a five-position mega switch is necessary. As for the piezos, in my case they had a stronger signal than the transducer and I had to reduce it a bit and cut off the high tones using a 10 nF capacitor and a 100 Ohm resistor. Ultimately, the effect is satisfactory and each item sounds different. Additionally, the entire arrangement is passive, unlike Fender. As for the parts, I bought them from an online supplier.
I replaced the stock tuners with some Kluson tuners that I ordered with my TE-70RW. On a Tele, I feel that you don't need locking tuners unless you're gigging with it and change the strings every three weeks, or less. With the Klusons, the tuning is rock solid. 18:1. I love the flat, baseball bat neck, on it, and the fact that you can either string through, or top load.
I love these Fender locking tuners. I think they are one of the best. Besides, I wanted to use original parts for this project. After some time, I must admit that when the guitar falls down a bit and I pick it up, e.g. after a few weeks, I may have to fine-tune one or two strings a little. They hold the strut perfectly.
Sound demo?
I just posted an audio test.

@@guitar-x674 that will be awesome
wow great idea excited to see the result
As a result, I had to wait a few months because there were many problems. I encourage you to watch.
Is it to fool yourself? I understand changing pickups for a sound but to do all that effort for a logo...
I had such a Fender logo and I wanted to check how to glue, paint, grind, etc. It turned out quite well. I am not cheating anyone, the guitar is in my collection and I will not sell it.
I like how you edited on the video to show which pickups were being used, finally sound comparisons done right!!! Everything is played the exact same way and I can actually hear the difference based on the tone alone :D Overall amazing edit, kept me watching and engaged, this is an enjoyable review/unboxing vid
Thank you for your comment. Check out other videos where I make modifications to the DC-PRO.
Why do you put a Fender logo on a Harley Benton guitar?
I had such a Fender logo and I wanted to check how to glue, paint, grind, etc. It turned out quite well. It was an experiment for the future with other projects
Teaching people how to sell dodgy guitars
And yet it remains a Harley Benton
Not completely. Harley on steroids.

Micro-tilt it was a Fender misstep .. not a good idea!! Stewmac's shims are the easiest full-pocket solution. They come in and include both a taper (heel angle) and a small offset (< 0.5mm heel raise), and the specs are somewhat approximate ... 0.25-degree shim tapers from 0.030" to 0.019" (0.76mm to 0.48mm) 0.5-degree shim tapers from 0.028" to 0.008" (0.71mm to 0.20mm) 1-degree shim tapers from 0.060" to 0.010" (1.52mm to 0.25mm)
I made such a pad myself, but in the end I chose the micro-tilt option. The most important thing is that it works properly.
great job

Not being a guitar builder, I found this quite baffling. Without at least a basic audio description, I couldn’t work out what was being done or why. I skipped to the end to find that I’d have to do it all again for another episode. I’ll watch it however because I want to see what the instrument looks and sounds like.

The guitar is almost finished. I still had to make adjustments. Unfortunately, I don't have time to edit videos that take a lot of time, but I do my best.

Thank you for your comment.
Why did you choose this Harley Benton over the TE-52 with the ash body? Any particular reason the black paisley is better to modify?
There were several reasons. 1. The guitar head was the largest compared to other tele (I had to cut out the original tele shape). 2. I like darker guitar colors. 3. The saddles on the bridge are made of brass. 4. I like original guitars. 5. And finally, maybe he's not my favorite musician, but I like Brad Paisley's guitars.
@@guitar-x674 Cool, thanks.
Nice work bro. That guitar will play better now I guarantee. Forget these losers in the comment section. The way a guitar headstock looks has a psychological effect. This looks great. Do you relic?
Thank you for your comment. Finally, after many months, I finished a new project - Harley Acoustasonic Telecaster. I'll be uploading it to UA-cam soon.

where did you get that tool to fit the tuners?
Why aren't the string groves wide enough?.. if you buy a good quality bone nut, surely the strings should pass through the groves easily.
Don't be such a brand whore. Help popularize this great new brand, that isn't gouging players. I own three HBs and no one in the crowd ever gasps and says, "You should have spent more." BTW, you can spot that as an HB from a mile away. And, also, I own three Fenders. So I guess...Listen, Musician's Friend has a payment plan.
Ciekawe jak brzmią pozostałe ustawienia i możliwości ustawień.
Good Job 👍👍👍👍
waste of money
What a waste of money? The body is solid basswood. The guitar's neck is comfortable and in tune. The guitar sounds decently, on the new Fender pickups. Modifications made to electronics opened up new horizons for the guitar sound. I invite you to the next films. I will present the electronics, maybe I will also present the whole thing and summarize the costs.
Would have been nice to hear the difference in the P up rather than a load of silly backgroung music.
The project is not finished yet, I invite you to the next part in which I present electronics. Part 3 will show you the difference. Maybe I will shoot part 4 where I will present all the guitar options, it will be worth watching because the effects are good.
That’s a lot of work just to pretend that your perfectly good Harley Benton guitar is a Fender.
There wasn't that much work. Besides, it was an introduction and a test to see if I could handle building other guitars.
@@guitar-x674 To be honest I have a fantastic Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster that has a fender logo on it, the guy I bought it off put it there.
