It took us around an hour plus from the togakushi chu sha to the oku sha due to the snow. 🙌 recommend going earlier before the sun sets.

Was this round trip or one way up 1hr plus. Would this be okay for young children to walk up from the 3rd shrine to the cedar trees. ( if we parked at the 3rd shrine)

An hour plus one way. It’s possible but I would recommend having more leeway with time. Since it’s winter and the trail is full of snow. Just make sure to check the weather forecast as well.

We stayed at a place called Minshuku Rindo for a few nights cause we also went snowboarding. A day trip would be possible from Nagano station but Osaka is kinda far😅. But if you have the time I would totally recommend going! A car would really help as well. 👌
