I attended Leaf games whenever my Bruins were in town. Sat up in the Greys. Ticket stub I have reads $4.00 to sit. Don’t know where I found the $4 back then, but I did somehow. Don’t think I could do it today…

This was more a history than a tour. Still very good. I did take a tour of the Gardens in 1993. Cool, compact venue for hockey. Fans right on top of the action.

Still think they should move the hockey hall of fame to maple leaf gardens

It's a disgrace what was done to one of Canada's premier National Historic Sights. They could have moved the Hockey Hall of Fame into Maple Leaf Gardens and created a world class museum for the sport.

I miss the old Gardens! Went to my very first Leafs game vs the Colorado Rockies in '81, as well as my very first concert, Iron Maiden in 1984.

I got a tour of the catwalks high above the ice when I was a kid in the 70s, because my cousin worked there. He might have been an announcer then, but he did go on to be producer of Hockey Night in Canada.

Not exactly a tour my dude, just clips and pics from the past. Plus there's no indication in there of where the benches used to be, only center ice which they've made more obvious now, I like that they did that cause before it was just a silly red dot that meant nothing. The walls on the east end yes remain untouched cause they can't really break down the outside structure so they left the colours there for nostalgia along with the outside door entrance for what would take you to the hot stove lounge at that time.

How about the piss throughts on the men's room floors? A river of piss at intermission if you got stuck on the end drain. How could you do a piece on mlg And not tell about this right of passage as a nhl fan? Ya I said nhl fan , not loafs fan. Go Habs go.

The Gardens was not built because they needed a new arena. It was the depression and Conn Smythe purchased the site to create jobs and build life in the city. He also invested in the building of Weston Arena.
