Every single Super 8 film print is old. Like, REALLY old. This channel was created simply to give these bite sized versions of films a safe place to live, as well as a place for Super 8 film lovers to watch these relics of days gone by. Projector sounds and all. I'll slowly catalogue my collection and add to the channel as I get my hands on more.
Thanks for coming and enjoy the show!

Revenge of the Creature (1955)| Jack Arnold| Super 8 200' Silent B&W| Castle Films
The much less impressive follow up to the Creature of the Black Lagoon sees the Creature making his way (forcibly) to the USA in search of love in a fairly entertaining showing for the Gillman!
Not see in this cut is Clint Eastwood's screen debut! So thanks at least to that!

I feel like this is a movie that THRIVES in the super 8 format. We get everything we need in a werewolf flick here honestly it's one of my favorite reels. And I know what you're thinking, "is this the movie that the losers club goes to see in IT? And then Pennywise goes on to torment poor little Richie as the werewolf??". You're damn right it is!
A Bucket of Blood (1959)| Roger Corman| Super 8| Sound 200' B&W|

I like art as much as the next guy, but Walter might be taking it just a little bit too far in this one. This cut could have been a better, but it's still a bucket (get it?) of fun, but when Corman is involved, we already knew that!

You just never know who you can trust. Vincent Price stars as the witch obsessed Matthew Hopkins as he terrorizes 'witches' all around the countryside. RIP to this film reel as it was involved with an accident shortly after the filming. You will be missed.

The things we do for love. This story works really well at this length because of what they do at the beginning version. You really get to see most of what you'd like to (really wish they would have put the parallel swimming shot in here though) Enjoy.

A little film about witches, beheadings, and...diving into the mind of a prostitute (sorry you'll have to get your hands on a copy of the full movie for that part) By the GREAT Roger Corman.

The tale of a confused middle aged man dealing with his body going through changes. I think we've all been there before...without the murder, but ya know. I think this edit of the movie is a really fun one and nails the atmosphere nicely.

Digest number 2 from the Ghost of Frankenstein! Back and equipped with a brand new brain, what's the worst that could happen?

This is the first of TWO digests from the Ghost of Frankenstein. All of us know that Frankenstein is as innocent as they come, but what will the people think? Starring Lon Chaney Jr. for the first time as the monster.

omg - remember this from my childhood - my father played it for a room full of us kids - nice to revisit for the first time in over 50yrs - thanks - !
@@angrylambie I love hearing these memories and I’m glad I could help you revisit it! Thanks for watching!
Interesting thing about this Universal 8 movie is they use a shot not seen in the movie or the trailer. I am referring to the shot where Basil is sitting in his chair just before Lionel Atwill enters the room. It looks like it's a deleted shot. I may be wrong but I don't think so. 😮
@@markastor9413 I definitely hadn’t heard about or noticed that! I’ll have to keep my eye out next time I’m watching the full length!
Lugosi's performance in this movie is the most underrated in film history.
@@randyjohnston-x9h absolutely up there!
Oh my goodness, this is too freaking cool. I remember seeing these fifteen minute versions of famous horror movies on super eight advertised in the back of Famous Monsters of Filmland. I actually saw this one at a Halloween festivall at my high school. Back in 1971. When Ygor peaks through the window I yelled out "Ygor", and the whole auditorium cheered.. My family had a silent super eight projector, and with it came a fifteen minute version of some Abbott and Costello movie. I think it was called, Abbott and Costello Meet the Keystone cops. After we watched, we made dad run the whole thing in reverse. It was even funnier. I am really delighted to have found this channel today, and I'll be subscribing , and thank you for putting this stuff out there.
@@ddyritz I love hearing all of this so much! Those are great memories. I’ll keep my eye out for that A&C film and get that uploaded too if I can! Thanks for watching!
Why did they make a silent version of Bride of Frankenstein? And was this made at the time the film actually came out?
@@lenda_gama this would have been a version released just for home viewing much later than the theatrical release! And the reason it is silent is because the super 8 format initially didn’t have sound, so it continued to release silent and sound versions throughout its lifespan. I’ve tried to upload my sound copies as well, but copyrights won’t let people view them.
I had this super 8!
How's it hold up to your memory!
Yay, a version with no rape scene!
Always a win!!
Wow that one streamlines nicely into the timeframe allowed!
