Kudos for using glass, not plastic water bottles. Too bad we don't have brilliant speakers/leaders as in the 1960s & 70s and instead "influencers" who are clueless consumers. Individual choices certainly matter. Everything matters: diet, transportation choices, human habitat density, votes, voices. But the leadership and the intellectuals have been so hollowed out by the influence of (especially fossil fuel) money that we are locked into a death spiral capitalist growth paradigm coupled with worldwide religious/superstitious cultural control. There should be a way to provide for old age without stock market gains. You would think that conserving resources would be a large part of that. There should be a way to shrink population with minimal sacrifices to quality-of-life for everyone. But I see very little in the way of crafting an economic system that works in this way.

Well now, I'm sure you are willing to show the rest of us how committed you are to your "CO2 kills" dogma, so here’s a handy checklist you can use to wean yourself off those nasty fossil fuels, just so you can prove to us how easy it will be to reduce the CO2 in our atmosphere to a “safe” level. Apparently you climate alarmists have a more finely honed appreciation for the dire predicament our planet is in. The following recommendations will help immensely in your altruistic efforts to spread truth, and calm the angry and out of control skies around the world by example. Here you go. Onto net zero carbon! 1. Stop driving. You may walk, run or ride a horse everywhere you need to go. All forms of public transportation are off limits as they use fossil fuel. 2. You cannot use any device powered by electricity (air conditioner, TV, computer, cell phone, etc.) as 61% of all US electricity is produced using fossil fuel. 3. Stop heating or cooling your home/apartment, also no cooking of food is allowed unless you burn wood. See above. 4. You may not eat any food produced using chemical fertilizers, planted, harvested, packaged or delivered to a food market with motorized equipment. You may eat what you grow, raise yourself or capture. 5. You may not purchase or read any printed materials as these are produced using fossil fuels. Cave paintings are ok to look at. 6. You may not live in any structure which required use of fossil fuel to build. Natural caves are permitted. 7. You may not wear any clothing designed or produced using fossil fuel. The skins of animals are ok as long as you remove the skin and fashion it into a stylish ensemble yourself. 8. You may not seek the services of a hospital, and of course all modern medicines are off limits. Not sure about Shamanism and voodoo..your call on those. 9. Anything made of plastic is off limits. 10. You cannot use money as it is produced using fossil fuel. You may barter. 11. Stop exhaling. Exhaled human breath has 40,000 PPM of CO2. Not do-able you say? THEN STOP LECTURING AND SCOLDING THE REST OF US FOR NOT GOING ALONG WITH THIS FIFTY YEAR OLD FRAUD.

@@pas9ify Here's a significant part of the conversational atmosphere surrounding the global warming/climate change agenda, and that is if you are like me and prefer to have facts presented to support the claims of impending doom instead of emotional rhetoric you are considered/accused of being mentally deficient, morally corrupt, a denier (as in Holocaust Denier, a very negative connotation meant to ascribe shame) or a racist, as if all who believe the climate change narrative are smarter, more honest and moral than those who don't or simply point out the false claims from years earlier. The global warming, dying earth narrative has been proven from the beginning to have been based on lies and still is. Polar Bears were supposed to vanish, there are four times more Polar Bears than fifty years ago. What about the twice Texas sized plastic island floating out in the Pacific Ocean? It never existed. Didn't Al Gore claim a sea level rise of 16 feet by the year 2010? Indeed he did several years earlier. Didn't Al Gore show that CO2 forced global temperature rise with the famous hockey stick graph that was proven fraudulent? Yes he did. Doesn't Al Gore own beachfront property, along with the Obama's, the Bidens, and the Kerry's? Why yes he does! The "swells" pushing this agenda don't believe their own words do they?...Nope. Why should anyone else?...And when you question them you are accused of being evil, immoral, an earth hater, etc. All the real climate scientists have been shouted down, smeared, personally attacked and fired from their jobs. Tell me, is that how real science works, you silence your critics? There is no science to this, it's all about control. You Professor Heleen de Coninck are a pawn in their game.

Do you believe that we are ingesting microplastics? I read the particles are now in the bloodstreams of half the people tested. Certainly, what was OK for a few people in a big world is not OK for a massive population on a shrinking planet. @36:20 Why ask that question? Kudos to De Coninck for turning the question back towards the IPCC paper but that was way off topic and too open to be a good question.
