Nice install ! 😊🙌🏽
Always a pleasure working with you Braden! I want one of these chargers! ❤
100% mate great having you with us on this one and thank you for your work!
your sums don't add up 10000Kwh home use at 35% use is 3400 = 884 pounds PV only at 26p electric price April 2024 add battery 2100kwh with a total of 20% = 546 pounds. total = 1430 pound saving so in 6.3years netting 9K if i had to guess shading factor .80 A home using 28 kwh a day, take it that's heating EV cars as well.
You ask anyone how much their solar system cost and they always refuse to say. Ask how much they make and it's £15-20/month at the most. The saving comes from reduced tariffs, also companies asking you to charge batteries so they can use that power at a much lower price than buying it in from a supplier. You act as their buffer!
How much did that system cost to supply and fit and what VAT was payable by the customer? Do they own the equipment from the start? Is anything owned or controlled by your company ? Why do you need to monitor the system? I have seen a lot of scams were companies charge VAT when they shouldn't for dome equipment, also where they take a cut of power being sold back, also some that lease the equipment! We need some real examples showing true figures. My relatives got a solar and battery system and regret it as it will take 10years for any savings to pay for the system itself. They worked out they would be better off putting their money in a savings account and using the interest for the bills to reduce costs as it worked out better in a 5.1% account than with their solar system. It's the cost and very little in savings that puts people off. If a company could guarantee I would make £100/month minimum from selling back electric generated, I would be willing to pay around £8000 total in one payment.
Thank you for your comment, the system once installed is completely owned by the customers, nothing is leased and we do not make any money from anything being sold back the grid. The system is subject to 0% VAT so they do not pay VAT. Unfortunately, yes there are companies out there taking advantage of people not realising Solar Pv and Battery storage is 0% rated but we are by far not one of those companies. With regards to system monitoring, as a company we have a duty of care to make sure the systems we install continue to run safely and as efficient as possible.
Interesting video, but all Chinese made panels and other equipment. Is this what it's come to? All those panels likely made in almost forced labour factories in north China using toxic chemicals that leak run-off into rivers, and then shipped half way round the world to some virtue signalling household who have a massive amount of money to throw at this in the first place (most don't!). Huawei products are mostly banned in the UK and US as a security risk too. Very optimistic 'pay off' figures as well - it's not uncommon to take 10 years, which is a heck of a long time. Those panels will need professionally cleaning every few months too otherwise performance drops significantly.
It is 10years to break even with a £100/month electric bill at the moment. Relatives and neighbours regret it as I pay the same amount for my bill on a standard BG tariff as they are paying on Octopus with solar panels and batteries. The difference is, my £13000 is gathering interest and compound interest each year. So I am better off and don't have to be worried about safety, maintenance, insurance, cleaning, repairs and prices that are increasing as income drops.
your misconception about cleaning panels every few months is wrong,my panels which were installed in 2013, have only manually washed ONCE the rain does the rest, and for clarity i live close to the sea so there is a lot of salt in the air in my locality, yes i am on FITs but not the early larger tariff, but mine were paid off years ago, and generally i cover all of my gas/electric costs over a 12 month period
Great video Braden - really informative.🙂
Thank you Richard!
6,070kWh, not 6,070kW
Definitely not worth. The Chinese manufacturers are forecasted over production capacity this year. The price of the panel will slump next year. It will be cheaper than normal fence.
Excellent Video Braden, Nice Install! 😍
Thank you! loving the products!
The main fuse usually falls out. You must of been lucky to have an isolation switch! 😉. Perfect job!!!
Tell me about it! They always seem to fall out whenever the switch isn’t there!
Nice video, good luck on your UA-cam Journey!
Really appreciate that, thank you!
Great video, glad you like the charger
Thank you Ian, and thanks again for your continued support
