My therory. I think saiyans have incredible adaptability. Goku turning SSG his body quickly adapted and he was almost able to match that in his regular ss form. I think goku becoming a ss on namek exposed the other saiyans to that level of ki, and they adapted to that and that why it was handed out. Goten and trunks were born after so their available gene pool was basically pre coded to be a super saiyan

its simple , Beerus saw a way to stay slack in his job as a destroyer by using goku and vegeta for cleaning up the universe , whis exactly pointed it out indirectly to beerus but beerus just shifted the blame to whis , then whis agreed that he let them train for a differnet reason and beerus to keep guessing , whis likely wants Beerus or the role of destroyer itself out and have the mortals themselves maintain the balance by fighting wreckless other mortals THE GOAL HERE BY WHIS IS COST CUTTING , By having goku and vegeta clean up shit for free he can save lot of Money that goes into Beerus's paycheck for ZENO

I don’t see him finding out about his weakness. I see a hostile takeover then the supreme Kai does the ultimate sacrifice and takes frieza with him.

Feels like some pretty bad storytelling unless they really dig deep into why Frieza is so evil. Then they have to explain why Beerus is sort of innocent but evil. It would take quite a lot to make Frieza worth that story.
