Double Wrap Vinyl Strap Installation
Thank you for the easy instructions. I had the supplies to repair, but the packaging was gone. Quick and easy fix! (Eta-not sure what the powder was, but it doesn't seem to be a needed step with the supplies I used)
Csrol burnrtt video on cñesning kids room
what is the white stuff you are dipping the hot strap into?
whats the website?
A-mazing. I need to do a couple and had no idea how. Great video.
What is the white powder you put in the ends if the strap and why?
thank you

I used a metal punch to help with the drilling of new holes in the metal tubing. Worked great, no slipping with the quarter inch drill bit.😂
How did it turn brown
Great video. Thanks. Much easier to install when you take it apart. Do you know where to get premade replacements?
Just got new slings for 2 lounge chairs. Bottom seat parts both tight, top part on both is tight enough to use, but very subtle waving and looseness in it. Measured correct and sling top came correct size. Any way to adjust chair frames even more to tighten it more? I already added a couple thicker washers in one spot where back bars connect to back of seat and that helped maybe 30% but still not great. Is this normal to happen sometimes when doing replacements? And does moisture and sun ever tighten them more over time? Great video!
Can i use oven mits instead of gloves?
Im trying to move some that aren't aligned anymore and figured my head gun will be needed
Thank you . Im very glad I watched the video before doing this ..I was wondering how I was going to tight straps .I didn't think of boiling them first ..
Hello Friend, I'm looking for some information that can help me. I need to weld several chairs just like those. My aluminum tubes are breaking
What are the tabs? Where can I buy them?
I always wondered how that second strap was put in place. 😆😅 Thanks!!!
how to measure for the straps?
Can you paint the old white straps?
Lol thanks
Jesus bled to death on the cross and resurrected to solve your sins, Satan, and hell. Jesus is your destiny, your disaster, your future You have solved the problem. If you believe in Jesus, you will escape from the power of the devil and become a child of God and enjoy all the blessings of heaven. Believe in Jesus and welcome him.
i m confused he put WHITE in the hit water, then sudden switch to Brown ??
Excellent. I bought a second hand swinging seat where sone of these straps had become undone. Now I see how to refit them. Many thanks.
Are these tabs reusable?
This was very helpful, Thank you 😊
What is this powder you used to dip the straps in?
Hello, where can I order these products? Thanks Mercedes
FYI, the mystery powder he used may help prevent the strap sticking to itself, but may not really be necessary at all; similar instructional videos to not use a powder and it works fine.
I was hoping someone mentioned the powder👍🏻 Thanks
Where can I order the steel tab clips and the vinyl straps?
Whats the powder step?
What is the powdery stuff you dip in after boiling?
If I cut the strap at 31 inches then stretch it onto the chair after boiling, won't I end up with too much strap?
Yep. You're supposed to cut it about 10% short so that its really taught when in place. Just about 28 inches would be good. Just did so and you gotta stretch the hell out of it but the end result is solid.
If you measure hole to hole as in the video and then drill holes in the strap 1/2 inch from the end, you essentially have it 1 inch shorter than measured. I found that somewhat challenging to put on and as tight as the other straps were.
Thanks for this video. I bought an outdoor dining set and two of the chairs are needing to be fixed ugh. Only paid $40 for the whole set though, cushions included. I actually just bought it for the cushions. Told my husband to just throw the chairs but he wants to make his life complicated so 🤷🏻♀️😂
You can find the steel tabs on americanslings.com
Where did you get the steel tabs?
Thank you, appears I should be able to accomplish this task now.
Wish I had seen this 3 hours ago
What did you do?
@@konichong4307 without boiling them, i spent 3 hours pulling the straps by hand and needle nose pliers. It'll do a number on your knuckles and takes a very long time.
@@cuz6657 😂 😂 sounds like something I would do
At about 40 seconds does the narrator push back a yawn??
What are those rivets called?
I checked ebay and amazon they dont have it
Worked well! Thanks for the clear video and explanation. My result looks nice - four chairs - welded aluminum tube frames, powder coated, looks like new.
So are we just supposed to ignore the fact that you dipped the vinyl in some mysterious powder? Wow... smh.
It looks like baby powder to me... probably to keep the vinyl from sticking to itself?
Exactly 🤣🤣
Lol cocaine
Mysterious powder are you for real? He obviously use some type of power so the Vinyl would not stick together and help to make it slide easier. Use anything use baby powder use cornstarch and wipe off when your done. What is the big mystery? I'm assuming this is a joke. If it's not go Seek help.
@@tif321dc since it was not stated what the powder is that is what makes it a mystery. And generally it is best not to assume. Don’t be such a stuck up asshole.
I made it by myself. I used woodprix woodworking plans for that.
I have one up that needs a home click link Priced low rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323205643959
looked on ur web site and could not find the steel clips listed.......can u help
Excuse me , what kind of this material it is ? Coated something inside?
I measured hole to hole, do I cut the strap to that length or do i shorten it?
whats the powder your using do you need it
+Gary Dubanik ... from another source they were using baby powder to keep the hot strap from sticking to itself. That source indicated you only needed the powder for the double strap method.
