    Long time follower of the car channel. Occasional watcher of the on track channel. I dont know you obviously but i can make comparisons with you and myself with the obsession of having nice cars and more to the point, a challenging project to keep the mind busy. Seems to me that you are very much in your own head and doing yourself in overthinking everything especially money and the future. Just worry about the now and family close to you. Socialising and networking with other social media and youtubers may be very beneficial for you to get to where you want to be. Set small goals for 12 months time and upskill, learn and re-learn and do everything you can to make them become true. They should probably be non car or non youtube goals, try something new. A change is as good as a rest. It will all work out in the end.

      Thanks for your comment. When I am going through dark times I defo do overthink about stuff, and my mind is dragged into past and future etc. I am however grateful that for the most part I am in a great place mentally due to the work I do on myself daily. Part of that work is focussing on the present moment as much as possible. My only goal really is to keep working as hard as I can everyday. On car stuff and youtube, on my health and fitness, and on my other business ventures away from the cars and youtube. I believe that if I continue to work hard everyday I will continue to become a better and better person. As for 'it will all work out in the end' This journey I am on has no end apart from death. It's a lifelong journey. 💪

    Having used that technique myself many times, I can totally agree that we should never condone or advise anybody else to use their inner hatred as it can be a risky manoeuvre. When it works, it can work with great effect, but it (at least for me) acts as a sort of "last resort" 👍

      Defo a risky move and admittedly since Saturday I have felt like there is more negativity within me that has found its way to the surface. I know what you mean. It's inevitable that something you are passionate about will at least somewhat dictate your emotional state sometimes. However, I find that its best to try my best to not get overly excited about every little win with my cars, because that usually means that I'll end up being utterly depressed about every little set back. . . . Your hobbies and passions should compliment your life, not absolutely dominate it. 💪

    Crazy how much I related to this despite me never taking drugs before, struggling to get out of bed in the mornings, being annoyed at myself for having to do the work in the evening when I should have been doing them in the morning. Also how nice it is to see and that you acknowledge the issues and understand why they happen and how to get through them with healthy habits, like morning routines and working out. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who struggles with these issues, and hopefully me commenting this makes you know your not alone in this.

      So true mate. A big part of the problem of me not getting up on time, is the fact that I am not disciplined enough when it comes to going to bed on time. Its all a big cycle. 💪

  • @hoggmotorsport
    @hoggmotorsport 4 місяці тому

    So relatable mate! I still struggle getting to sleep, then as the cycle continues to get up after, getting to a point where I'm having to drag myself up and out, it's been late getting up these past few days... Then as you being annoyed at myself for getting nothing done!! There may be another health concern looming which made me bury my head in the duvet for a couple of days! See what happens. Thing with UA-cam is it's so time consuming with editing, creating content etc, it's no 9-5 job! It's not easy. The thing with the negative thoughts and future scenarios, once I start doing it I tell my mind to shut up and focus on the now not what may or may not happen in the future, your advice 👌 keep at it mate, like you say you're in a trough but you'll get back at it, I was going to comment change your alarm the other day, hope it helped! 💪👍

      The cycle of sleeping and waking is the biggest challenge in my life nowadays but Im grateful that I am actually aware of it and trying to improve it (whilst also acknowledging that I am not trying hard enough). . . . . The fact that you are actually able to notice your mind trying to drag you into the future, and that you are then able to bring your attention back to the present moment, means you are ahead of most human beings in terms of your conciseness! 💪 . . . . . . . I actually forgot to record that new alarm the other day! 🙁

    Hi Marcus, I wanted to share a bit of my journey with you. Throughout my life, I've faced my fair share of struggles. There have been days where it feels like I'm back at square one, despite putting in so much effort. These were dark times, and I never want to revisit them. However, as I've reflected on my experiences, I've come to realize that not every day will be a good day. Yet, I've also noticed that the good days now outnumber the bad ones. This shift gives me hope that I'm moving towards a better life. I've never been one to ask for much. I've always cared deeply for my children, and I'm grateful that my wife still loves me dearly. For me, true happiness lies in simply living alongside those who love me.Throughout my life, I've dedicated myself to helping others, both people and animals. Every time we shop, my family and I make sure to drop food in the SPCA bin to support animal welfare.I share this with you because I believe you may resonate with this journey. It's a daily battle, but we've discovered that the secret lies in having more good days than bad.

    • @mh_on_track
      @mh_on_track 4 місяці тому

      Thanks for sharing this! 👍 I am grateful to be in a position where I also have more good days than bad. It's also a fact that my 'bad' days nowadays are actually better than my 'good' days were before. 💪

  • @hoggmotorsport
    @hoggmotorsport 4 місяці тому

    Alright mate, referring back to the daily videos..there's no harm in changing the content as you described, but as for now I think making them is an important part of your daily routine, as you said. Plus the other thing about living in the present..this is also very important, its a pointless waste of time living in a future that doesn't exist or may/may not workout as you think, or in a past thats done and gone. Yes learn from what's happened in the past but don't live in it. Keep at it mate 💪👍

    • @mh_on_track
      @mh_on_track 4 місяці тому

      So true mate! 👍 The present moment is all we actually really have but most people live their whole lives with their focus constantly in the past and/or future. Yes its ok to learn from the past, and its ok to plan for the future, but we must live in the now. 💪

    Hi Marcus, I don't think you're displaying "Repetitiveness" It's more of an example of "Routine and Discipline" which I myself am lacking and working on, I believe the forward progression, analysing and small incremental changes you make each day support this, Remember the dark, scary, groundhog days in which we used to live, that was bloody repetitive 😂😂 Love the stoic face 👍 keep going bruv 🙏❤️🦋

    • @mh_on_track
      @mh_on_track 4 місяці тому

    Great self awareness Marcus 👍 This particular vid has just inspired me to take my journaling more seriously, the last 3-4 weeks have been depressing, low and filled with anxiety resulting in bad isolation, realising this is self inflicted I went to a couple of groups today and said out loud how shit I've treated myself, so now the journal is out and I'm addressing the crap my mind is making up - compared to the practical reality that needs to be accomplished, letting my journaling slip away is one of the reasons I've ended in a vulnerable position, two groups this vid and I can feel positive thoughts already, the mind traps I let happen are a proper dark but now I know the Sun is rising, as it always does, Thank you 🙏 Keep going Bruv 🙏❤️🦋

    • @mh_on_track
      @mh_on_track 4 місяці тому

      Im glad you are back on a more positive path mate. I find that in positive times my journaling inspires me and pushes me forward, whereas in more negative times my journaling gives me an opportunity to off load and analyse my negative thoughts etc. I actually try to be grateful for negative things in my life nowadays because the negative times are what make us stronger. Therefore when Im feeling down I use this as an opportunity to write out the negative things as my gratitude list. For example 'Im grateful that I have a neck injury because it helps to remind me that I have been working hard' . . . This means I am less likely to skip my journaling just because Im not feeling 100%. Ultimately journalling ALWAYS benefits me in some way, NOT journaling NEVER benefits me at all. I do miss days (rarely) but I know that I must for the most part keep journalling (and working out, and taking cold showers etc etc) EVERYDAY to keep benefitting from these things. When Im not feeling 100% my mind will TRY to make me be believe that these things are silly, or a waste of time BUT I understand that my mind isn't always on my side so I do my best to push on regardless! 💪
