Is he buried in Bristol? Would the Fowler that built the first building be the same one that built the house to the west of the old hardware store that was tore down in the 1970s?

I went to school in Bristol part of 1954 and all of 1955. We moved to Bristol for my Dad's work on the toll road. So enjoy these You tube videos. We moved a lot but Bristol was a favorite.

Well told! You had me giggling at the monkey. But when you said 'mule' I started to really laugh. Same kids? Hilarious. Thank you. I really enjoyed listening to this.

I love your story Jack I sat here and laughed so hard I used to go on the horseback ride that Cliff Detwiler used to hold every year spring and fall. The story made me laugh so hard.

My husband, Rod Harms, now 74, spent the first winter of our marriage building a quarter-scale radio control jet out of balsa wood in our basement from a picture in a magazine. We took it out to Bonneyville park one sunny but raw April April day about thirty years ago with my nieces and it went up ok, but quickly straight into the ground. What a disappointment! He had made many other propeller planes he successfully flew at a field in Mishawaka, as well as at other shows around the area, but this was the first jet. All he has left of it now is the memory. He switched to garden railroads as a hobby after that because there was no danger of them being destroyed,.and then radio-controlled cars, both activities since discontinued. His latest hobbies, of which he has had so many, are 3 string guitars and he is currently growing cannas and tomatoes in our garage and greenhouse. We are also rebuilding a former rental house that was pretty well destroyed by hoarding renters, which we plan to use as our "retirement" house" (retirement, really, what's that!), having torn it all the way back to the studs, and we will be re-siding it ourselves this spring, as we are currently working on wiring and plumbing on the inside. Say Hi to Jean for me.
