In one of the last scenes Faith is in her new office as DA and get a visit from the defense attorney giving her a plant that "thrives on neglect" as he puts it. I think she realize in this moment that she has to do the right thing even if it will kill her career. Next scene we hear Justin telling his wife that the car is finally sold. Next Faith knock on the door for the end scene. I was thinking that Faith made sure the DA office bought the car and did investigations on it and found evidence of the hit and run, like DNA or hair. She came to get him arrested was my thinking.
