The "we change our sex" rhetoric from both the trans rights activists and transmedicalists confuses me. I used to frequent r/transmedical a lot, but I think it's been overrun by younger folks because the narrative is now that fully medically transitioning changes your sex. It doesnt, nothing in this reality can change your sex 💀 but acknowledging this makes one self hating or a grifter apparently, as they often refer to Buck and Blaire as such for being so open about acknowledging their bio sex. Does being trans kinda suck? Admittedly, as a fellow tranny I think so lol. Im a RN, I would say 2/6 people I come into contact with say something about me being trans disrespectfully while working and I can't really tell them to leave but I'm also frequently going to be passed on leadership opportunities cause I'm opting out of being the nurse treating said disrespectful. Blaire is very influential and does help at facilitating this behavior by making it ok to do. She is filtered to it as her job is on the Internet instead of the real world like mine. To me, this debate is beating around the bush. What is the use of surgeries and research if the result is purely cosmetic? The fact that it helped or did not help people does not negate the cosmeticity. Biology and medicine are still not at a high enough level to introduce even a fraction of the profound changes that are needed. The female body is very complex, and the male body is not simple either. Yes, MAYBE, a girl will feel better if she attaches steel balls to herself, but she will not become a guy, sorry. Same goes to boys that's want to be a girls. And the point is not that these changes are cosmetic and do not bring practical use, but they can also lead to harm, because a person essentially get's additional wounds.

Gay marriage is completely different. They believe in civil unions but marrige is a religious based thing. Forcing the churches to follow their laws instead of their religious views. Ending gay marriage would still allow them to join and get all the benefits of marriage but not force the churches. Atleast thats how it should be so all parties can be happy. Gay get the benefits as a "married" partner, taxes, hospital visits etc. And churches can have their own views back. Also odd that the law only forces Christianity and not say Muslims.
