I've seen others, including Edgar Bergen, and they, including Bergen, were *FAKE!* You saw their mouths move when their characters spoke. One of the *worst* was Waylan Flowers on the New Laugh-In with his puppet, "Madam". When shot for segments on the show both Flowers and his puppet were seen together and you could see his lips moving.
