Thanks for this. I've been given a HP Proliant DL380 G7 with a single CPU, 48 Gb RAM and eight 2.5" drive bays. I have an extra controller and cable so I might try to put four x 3.5 drive bays (2.5" SAS drives are too expensive).

The one ordered for G10 (P/N: 870549-B21B) is apparently defective. Next video from you I hope has better audio and also shows a successful boot-up and perhaps also how the disks are configured (There are lots of options, JBOD, RAIDxx, Windows Storage, StableBit Drivepool and probably a bunch more other options). People who spend their time watching from start to finish sort of expect seeing the stuff actually working.

Routing the SAS cables in a gen 8 is an absolute nightmare. There's almost no room to do it.
