At Sapucaí, the schools from the special group and the gold group parade (this video is a parade from the gold group). The special group is above the gold group. The samba schools from the gold group compete to gain access to the special group. The schools from the special group compete to win the Rio carnival. The worst schools from the special group are relegated to the gold group. Judges evaluate the parades based on criteria such as: samba, theme, costumes and floats, drums, and more... This video is a parade from the gold group.
