I saw Swingle II as they were called much of the 1970s perform these songs and much more at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival in 1978. Unforgettable. Made me a life-long fan! Thanks for sharing this. Brings back happy memories.

I got hooked on Swingles as a child, as my Dad played their albums. And now 55 years later, I still love listening to them, esp. the classical music pieces. :)

Wow, it transports me back to my childhood - my parents used to play this album! This track was only one I liked back then. Not so convinced now though!

apparently the lady second to the left use to date Martin buchen former captain of Manchester United and Scotland.... she later married one of the greenoff brothers who also played for the above team...when asked about this years later ,Martin replied ,its just wanna those things

sheer disturbance ....is this what people listened to in the 70s.apperently the guy who talks at the start was part of the french resistance in the second world war, he later did backing vocals on boney m records, think he died in a tragic car crash that dismembered his head, cutting his vocal chords...so so sad

apparently swingle 3 were a lot better ,think they formed after the original singer was killed in a massive car crash, which cut his head off putting complete death to his amazing vocal chords
