HOW TO SECURE AN APPRENTICESHIP | A GAMEPLAN
A no thrills but thorough guide as I try to shake off the ring rust and introvert in me to deliver you some valuable content!

    What did you do an apprenticeship in?

    • @rahil9316
      @rahil9316 Рік тому

      It was a level 4 business one. The qualification was quite generic and not that useful if I'm honest but it was a way to get in which was the main thing. I did also start a HR level 5 apprenticeship internally but had to withdraw because of the career break.

    ADDED POINTS 1) How to find insight sessions? Google apprenticeship insight events! Either careers fairs or companies or outreach organisations will do insight events for you to sign up to. You can also find Apprentices on LinkedIn or social media who you can reach out to for insight/advice. If you're after a certain industry or company then simply Google *industry or company name* apprenticeship insight events. Forgot to specifically mention that. 2) On the personal statement/why question step - Obvious one but make sure to say you are interested in working for the company/organisation you are applying for alongside the industry (I only mentioned industry in this vid but was meant to also say company/organisation as well - of course this goes without saying but I don't want to assume everyone will know this) 3) Interview question prediction method What if I have no idea of what they might ask? Look at the job spec and essential requirements. If there's mention of things like solving problems then you may be asked about when have you had to solve a problem and how did you go about it? If it mentions you'll be working in a team or strong team working skills are required then you may be asked tell us about time when you worked in a team (to deliver an objective, what was your contribution?) If there's something about influencing others, you may be asked tell us about a time you had to influence a stakeholder to your way of thinking. If it mentions customer service you may be asked to describe a time where you delivered excellent customer service or went the extra mile to help somebody. If it mentions good time management/organising skills or working under pressure you may be asked to describe a time when you've had to deliver a piece of work under time pressure? You get the pattern, the clues are all in the job spec and essential skills requirements. Analyse carefully. Glassdoor, student room or googling interview questions for similar entry level roles in your area may also provide some hints. If the interview format isn't mentioned i.e if it's competency based or not they may sometimes ask these questions in hypothetical format i.e each question above reframed to how would you... No harm in emailing them to ask what format the interview will be in if it's not mentioned anywhere.

    This Sahar Beg is A DREADFUL PERSON!!! She is a munafiq! A pure-hearted relative of mine had counselling/psychotherapy from her several years ago, and Sahar Beg used to be very mean to her. Sahar Beg used to psychologically abuse her, manipulate her mind and used to cause her distress by always siding with her enemies and the very people who had caused her trauma in her life. Sahar Beg would always interrupt her when she was speaking and would snap at her and patronise her. Sahar Beg would tell her to stop repeating when the whole way of doing CBT on repititive people who have mental illnesses like OCD, PTSD, etc is to make them keep repeating until they naturally, of their own accord, reach the stage where they've had enough of repeating! This Sahar Beg is a very horrible person who shouldn't even be a counselor/psychotherapist!

    Hi, whats the difference in taking net engr apprenticshp rather than having certification exams like ccna?

    • @TheBelieversEarlyCareers
      @TheBelieversEarlyCareers 3 роки тому

      Response below from Zain (feel free to reach out to him on LinkedIn) : CCNA is highly recognised within the Security & Networks route. It’s definitely a valuable asset to have if you’re trying to pursue a career in that field. However Degree apprenticeships in Network Engineering (especially within BT) allows you to work across the design, test configuration and maintenance of high level networks that impacts millions of customers worldwide which gives additional value to your output. You’ll also be exposed to things like testing latest networking technology, upgrading the existing network and the planning, installing and running of network elements. You may also get involved in fault troubleshooting and pro-active repair, and working with the latest process automation technology, being responsible for identifying and delivering automation improvement across our platforms alongside other engineers - this provides you with a platform to collaborate with other network engineers which you may not be exposed to when doing the CCNA course/exam. My personal recommendation would be to pursue a Networks Degree apprenticeship but to also complete a CCNA certification on the side. Depending on the business, they may even fund it for you. Hope this helps & all the best!

    Take the L! Not the LOSS but the LESSON. There's no shame in taking Ls, facing setbacks or making mistakes. If you use it as lessons it'll soon be what strengthens you! Keeping this video here to show you that things don't always go as intended and everybody takes Ls, even the most successful people. The successful one learns from it, the unsuccessful one let's it define them and gives up. Many also hide their Ls so you might think there are people who are only talented/successful or good because that's all you see from the outside, reality is though they've made plenty of mistakes and don't always have it figured out!

    Just to add to this, 1) even though this interview was at SEO grade, lessons can still be applied for those applying for lower grades roles. (I've even seen those apply for higher grade roles miss out on some of the basics mentioned) 2) you may notice my answers are in a lot of depth (perhaps even a bit over the top at times!) don't let that put you off. Your answers can be more precise/short as long as you're covering what you need to and following the structure properly. 3) final point, I did this episode in one sitting so the points I mention isn't the list of everything you should do so if you are getting advice or guidance from elsewhere use this to build on that and figure out what the best approach would be for you.

    Salaam, do you know of any similar degree apprenticeships that are currently open for application in Birmingham? The Bt one doesn’t seem to exist anymore, infact I can only seem to find like 1 or 2 project management related ones. Any tips on finding vacancies? Also love the content, keep up the great work!

    • @rahil9316
      @rahil9316 4 роки тому

      Wa alaikum salaam, I'd say regularly check in with the BT Apprenticeships, as you can imagine with the COVID impact a lot of organisations are having to think twice about what programmes they offer so it may be the case that this particular programme won't be on offer this year. In regards to where to look for apprenticeships, I'd ask myself what companies would I be interested in working in and what areas am I curious about? Think of any that come to mind and research if they have opportunities. There are also resources like find an apprenticeship where you can find vacancies. I'd also suggest to have a look and sign up to job alerts on civil service jobs as apprenticeships roles there have a variety of locations. Hope this helps and keep us in your duas!
