Thanks for remembering, even this much later. For those of us who knew JB, it hasn't really been that long. He thought he'd be quickly forgotten. Not yet, it seems.

Disturbing? That's an interesting way to put it. I chose the piece because, at the time, it was the only one that said what words couldn't in a gentle way. It's going to be twenty years soon since he left us, and maybe the fact that this still elicits responses says something about the legacy of the man himself. I still can't watch it objectively. Anyone who knew him in real life, or even by reputation, won't ever forget him.

He and his friends were 'twenty-somethings' in a party town, and no one thought badly of it. It's often what you do in Los Angeles, whether you are wealthy and famous or not. He didn't use drugs - he was terrified of them, even Tylenol. He DID like to drink (a lot) but that's what guys in their 20's do. His friends were as stable and mature as most people that age would be (and, of course, as mostly actors, were a little self-centered) - but they missed the cues he was giving them, that things weren't what they seemed on the surface. Jonathan was, above all else, an impeccable actor, and his act of normalcy and happiness was almost perfect. Inasmuch as we can, we need to absolve his friends and family of any blame for his death. They just couldn't - and didn't know. No one did.

jonzfriend, oh sure, not at all. I love films and TV series. And from time to time I look up the lives of actors/actresses. And when I discover how young actors died way before their time, of course it deeply saddens me. Particularly so if by taking their own lives. From what I've read about +Jonathan, it seems he suffered from depression. Possibly due to worries about his acting career. I know of him only by "The Never Ending Story II" and "Seaquest." But I did enjoy his acting. I think he was good and very expressive of his roles. Whatever his reasons, and certainly the friends he must have had, I regret that there wasn't anyone sufficiently close to him when he most needed someone. Or maybe that he hadn't reached out for help. I'm so sorry. From all accounts, he seemed a friendly, kind-hearted young man. God most certainly will count that in his favour. Did you by chance know him personally? Thank you for your heartfelt tribute.

I am here. I know what it's like to be late in finding out about certain things. I found out about Jonathan's death three years after it happened. I was shocked and saddened and have she's many years over the years since. May he rest in peace.

Don't worry about it. One very heartfelt condolence from a non-English speaker once said that she hoped he had found the "peach" he was looking for. The sincerity is the important thing. Thanks for remembering.

I would never have judged him either, cause he was depressed severely & couldn’t see straight! But he knew it wasn’t the answer to fixing problems, but like I said, being severely depressed & worried, he let go!!! 😢 I also wished it didn’t happen! If I had known he had problems with depression, & struggled & if I knew how to get a hold of him thru his fan base, I would’ve written him back then & try to talk all this down so hopefully he’d still be here with us!!! 😢😢😢😢 💔
