National Powersports Dealer Association Debuts DealerConnect Video
The National Powersports Dealer Association (NPDA) took another momentous step forward this week with the successful launch of the DealerConnect Conference in Columbus, Ohio. NPDA Dealers, partners, media and industry guests converged on the Sonesta Downtown Hotel October 20-22 to discover ways to be better together.
“We are grateful to everyone who attended in support of our inaugural event that brought our Association members and partners together,” says NPDA Executive Director Dave McMahon. “From legacy dealers that have been in operation for more than 50 years to those making their first foray into the new world of ownership, it’s safe to say that we achieved our goal of building connections through NPDA membership.”
“NPDA exists to promote, unite, represent, educate powersports dealers,” adds Jayson Davis owner/operator of Powersports of Greenville and an NPDA Board Member. “Dealer Connect achieved all these goals at a time in history when we need it the most.”
History was made when the first bonus sessions on Sunday kicked off for early-arriving guests. Attendees then gathered in the Networking Room, where 19 NPDA Partners had display tables alongside a range of food and beverage options.
The real voyage of discovery began bright and early on Monday morning when NPDA Co-Founder and Board Chairman Bob Althoff guided an Industry Leaders Summit that included the reveal of Powersports World, a newly launched NPDA joint venture broadcast network that aims to drive more customers into powersports dealerships nationwide. Viewers can find Powersports World on a variety of platforms, including at streamstak.com/powersportsworld/ and via the Roku app. Rob Dingman, President/CEO of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), also participated in the segment, acknowledging the AMA’s support of the industry’s newest growth initiative and the NPDA.
The remainder of Monday and Tuesday included educational sessions delivered by more “exceptional speakers” - as one dealer noted following the event. Education sessions were augmented with an abundance of networking time for dealers and partners. Further enhancing the can’t-miss offerings inside the Networking Room were an afternoon ice cream social featuring local favorite Jeni’s Ice Creams, while a cocktail hour showcased a “CBIZ Sidecar” courtesy of the event’s eponymous reception sponsor.
“Partners and dealers alike have had a hand in the formation of the association from humble beginnings to a full blown business conference,” notes McMahon. “Initial feedback tells us that the launch of both NPDA in 2021 and DealerConnect in 2024 were welcomed and appreciated. We’re already looking forward to a bigger and better event in 2025.”
The 2024 NPDA DealerConnect Exhibiting Partners included Apiar Commercial Risk Management, AppOne, Brightline Dealer Advisors, CBIZ, Dignifi, Electronic Data Payment Systems, Garage Composites, Iron Lilly, LeadHelm, Line\5, National Powersport Auctions (NPA), NCM Associates, Octane Powersports Marketing, Performance Brokerage Services, Rider’s Advantage, Rollick, Inc., Tom O’Connor Sales Academy, ZiiDMS and 700Credit.

Go NPDA - best thing we dealers can do.
NPDA really is better together!
Copy and Paste
Are parts readily available in the usa? I'm seriously considering one
Yes, we have a 20,000-square-foot warehouse just for our parts department. We use the same parts ordering and management system as the large OEMs.
So is it a real person or AI removing all the comments? Go Woke , Get protection ?
Occasionally, once a year.. lol 🤣 HARLEY dropped all service and sold the brand after ONLY 2 years on a bike with a 5 year warranty. SCANDALOUS!! Left their customers high and dry. Just like Buell , just like livewire... GO WOKE , GO BROKE !!! Moron liberals from Milwaukee ruining a great brand.
Ciao Nighisti!
For Canada 🇨🇦!!!!!!
Great job by all involved. This is a huge win for our industry.
Thanks for the history and clarity on what Senate Bill 708 means Scott. And thank you Senator Jones for continuing to champion the cause!
you cant
My brother had one it would go 2 feet & fall over
I had one in the late 1970s 👍
👍🏻💯my favorite toy in the 70s love it 😂
2nd comment on 2024😮😢
I remember mine very clearly....It was a surprisingly tough toy for being almost completely plastic. It didn't take very long to figure out it was way faster without Evel riding on it to slow it down. They also made pullcords/ripcords for them. The cords didn't last very long, but the cord did make it go faster than the crank. Everyone would burn their hand/fingers on the rear wheel using the cord too. But we didn't care. We just kept making bigger/longer ramps as fast as our tiny brains could think of one. I beat the hell outa mine till the front forks suddenly snapped off one day. The crank mechanism was a simple tool - the instant you couldn't accelerate the crank handle any faster - it would just take off. Those people in the video sucked at cranking it. I could really get mine going good if I pointed it sideways instead of cranking it in a forward motion. The crank made for the best wheelies and the cord made for the fastest runs and biggest jumps. Thanks, that just brought back a lot of great memories.
Truth! I also "borrowed" the 3 In 1 oil from my mom's sewing machine to try to get the crank a few rpms faster.
@@RobinHartfiel Oh, yeah...Great idea! We never thought of using the 3in1 oil. You would've fit into our little neighborhood gang of pre-pubescent misfits nicely! 😉
I had something like this when I was a kid in the mid-80s. Loads of fun. My favorite non-Star Wars toy.
Love this and her❤
You said entry level helmet in the name of Stud but Stud dont claim that. They says we are top of the line helmet.
Thanks for sharing your story, Jeremy.
Evel knievel was my hero that toy was my favorite toy
I had one of those back in the day... but I don't remember it having shock absorbers. Wish I still had it. It would be worth a pretty penny. 😂
I wore a blister on my hand playing with that thing.
I won’t comment other than to say me too:)
What’s the HP and torque on the corsaro sport? What brakes and suspension does it have? Does it have an imu?
Final specs are not in, but engine is rated at 95HP and the 90 degree V-twin should put out some nice torque. Top shelf Brembos with excellent master cylinder and radial mount calipers with steel braided lines. Fully adjustable suspension with adjustable rear ride height. Yes on TC, ride modes, and more. Stay tuned for more info, likely at EICMA 2024.
@@JohnGriifin That sounds nice. If it has in the range of 80 NM of torque, this will be a top contender in the class
New Improved model out now, Got mine last week
Loved this toy as a kid in the 70s!
That is Duke Caboom Canada's greatest stuntman
I always wanted me one uh them thangs. But I guess I never got it.
Months upon months of FUN !
My younger brother got one for Christmas. Started doing some jumps out on the front sidewalk with lower ramps than what they show in the commercial and a plastic gear inside broke within the first 15 minutes. That didn't last long.
I remember having that as a child, but I don't remember playing with it. Born 1970
It was just like the real thing, crashed every time 😮
Such a cool lady
I want to buy one now!!! Waaah. That one of him jumping over the fence and wrecking -- too close to the truth. YIKES!
Best toy of a generation, ask anyone from gen x about the Evel Knievel stunt cycle! 🤗🤗🌹🌹❤🔥❤🔥🤟🤟
reminds me of that tragedy
This was one toy that really lived up to the advertising, & pretty durable. The bike finally met it's end being ridden by my friend's sister's Barbie doll, attempting a daring jump from a 2nd floor window- over a patio, and onto a raised lawn. Unfortunately she failed to clear the retaining wall... . The bike was wrecked and Barbie looked like Ernest Borginine after that impact.
I had that and the sky cycle!
ua-cam.com/video/0z0JaoYzXp0/v-deo.htmlsi=6R5t0voNwxYjy6cb
I had this !!!
A friend had one: Evel was best at going straight, it was just really hard to aim him for that ramp! -most of the time he'd miss it and just keep on going! -and that's why the Toy Evel never broke any bones: Ideal built him with a strong sense of self-preservation!
I have scars on my fingers to this day from that toy!
Mine survived the leap from our 3rd floor apartment balcony. Unintentional of course.
Sending lots of love and happiness to you madam ❤ God bless you ❤
You can't find them anywhere
All day long on eBay.
I still have my Evel Kenvel stunt cycle and doll in mint condition
KYT is essentially AGV if it was priced right. Compared to Arai and Shoei, this helmet brand and AGV are both trash. However, the price is insanely good for what you're getting. You're getting safety at such a good price point but it is still a shit quality helmet with rough edges. If I'm on a budget I will get KYT because its the most worth it helmet. But if I can spend some money, probably just get Shoei / Arai.
Had that when I was a kid
Good times, fun toy playing in the dirt. SST smash up derby set. Never did choke to death on small flying parts. When I was young we ate food!
So why can I not find out important things about the Boss? Like durometer test, how many plies in the sidewall and what material? I called and the person on the other end of the line was absolutely no help.
The Trail Blade BOSS SxS has a durometer reading of 67 and the sidewall has 2 plies of polyester in it. In addition to the plies of polyester, the aggressive knife design that carries over the shoulder from the tread also helps stiffen the sidewall a little bit while providing some more protection and puncture resistance. We are so confident in the durability of these tires that we offer the industry first of its kind Trail Hazard protection at no extra cost to you where we will pay for repairs or replace the tire if not repairable for up to 2 years. Please see here for the full details on our Trail Hazard protection plan: atturo.com/trail-hazard.
