I know someone who won £100 on a fruit machine and instead of putting the money back in they bought 20 £5 scratchcards all the same, when they'd scratched them all off they won absolutely nothing.

i think they lie about the percentages of wins some cards i have bought 20 or more 5 pound cards and not had a win,others like the chocolate 500 top prize many many wins,,we have know way of knowing ,greed ,

We buy scratch cards every Christmas as an 'Advent Calendar' (one scratch card per day) and in the last 5 years the total spent is £300 and the total won is £290. So £10 DOWN over five years. Not bad. Best win was £100 on one card - which did bring up the average A LOT!
