    Hey man how many lbs can you hang off that thing for lat pull downs? whats the heaviest you can go? 350LBS?

    • @PhairlyGoodGym
      @PhairlyGoodGym 9 днів тому

      The most I've tested on it is about 160 lbs for some back rows and lat pulldowns around 120-140 lbs. The downside to moving heavier weight is the actual machine will move so I put some 45 lb weights on the bottom and if I need to, put my feet on the side so it doesn't adjust it's position. This is also because I didn't bolt mine down but if you do, that shouldn't be any issue. I think 200 lbs might be the heaviest I'd go with it

      @@PhairlyGoodGym Hey buddy. I just got this off Amazon Canada. Took 2 days to install.. I'd say 8 hours for me (alone). I went really slow on the cable installation part, i definitely did everything right and checked back to that sponsored youtube guy's video and my cables look to be installed correctly. I tightened all the bolts well towards the end. The cables are so stiff on the concentric and have absolutely no tension on the negative. Not smooth at all. I applied grease to every single pulley and every cable as much as I could, still not smooth. I increased the weight to see if that would apply more tension on the negative, helped very slightly but the movement is not smooth at all. Please comment. Thanks. I have contacted customer support directly on amazon. Is it because the pulleys are made of nylon and not aluminum such that it is causing excess friction with the cable (not sure what plastic material the cable is coated with). Thanks

    How far back can you pull it when doing a low cable row? Can you really get your elbows back far?

    • @PhairlyGoodGym
      @PhairlyGoodGym 10 днів тому

      On this machine it's harder so a lot of times I'll remove the chain on the attachment so I can get my elbows further back. Just depends on where I'm using it

    Just wear it further up arm and not directly on the wrist joint, if you wear it behind your wrist bone that won't happen.

    Thanks for the explanation. If you could use a percentage too describe the difference between using the Versas and just your regular grip what would it be. Would you say the versas make the pressure feel as if it’s 5-10-15 or 20 percent less for example

    • @PhairlyGoodGym
      @PhairlyGoodGym Місяць тому

      No problem! I'd say like 20 percent less and I focus on doing as many reps as I can before my grip is feeling done and then do a few extra with the versas.

Do other exercises too like Dead Hang, pullups-Chinups. If you're below 18 then avoid Weigh Training. Do only Bodyweight Workout. Good Luck for your journey 🤞

    Hey brother I love your video man, I am extremely obsessed with grip strength just as you are I have the 140 and 200 pound GripZilla grippers. I’ve been training for about 2 months now but can’t seem to progress and even close the 200 yet, any tips on how to progress more? I would be so happy if I could close the 200

    • @PhairlyGoodGym
      @PhairlyGoodGym 2 місяці тому

      Thank you so much man! I love all types of grip training stuff so I have so many things to train it. I plan on doing a lot more in depth reviews with more edits on this channel so I can cover more in depth grip stuff as well. In terms of training my grip I've come a long way in just the past year and a half. I was barely able to close the 150 lb before and now I use it for sets of 8-10 reps. Pause the reps at the close position and slowly release it to keep the tension. If you are able to close your 140 lb one multiple times you can use that for working sets of 8-10 reps and every week try to add extra reps or sets to what you're able to do. I did this and just after months I tried the 200 lb one and was able to close it and now I can close it 3-5 times so it's just about progression. Other ways to train your grip apart from just grippers is if you have a pull up bar, just do some dead hangs on there, this really has helped my grip and it's a way to add variety to your grip training! Hopefully this is helpful! Let me know when you close that 200 cause I know you can!
