Isn't it also hilarious that magic character threatened A & E with "death"? Like the first 2 people in existence would even know what tf that even means 😅 (this was before the fall.... Also isn't it hilarious that magic character decided to only tell Adam not to eat from the tree and forgot to tell Eve? It doesn't even tell us that Adam told her. Luckily, the book proceeds as if she was warned, but she wasn't told directly from the source, atleast that's the information they forgot to add..... So when a talking snake comes to challenge it, it is entirely plausible that Eve began to think that it was just a lie that Adam told her and not the words of this magic character. And then the magic character decides "My life is ruined 😭, curse all of you humans forever and forever and forever 😭" How childish 😅

Nah bro, you need to redo this and make it longer 😂 Do Genesis 1 and 2 together so you can see how the first 2 chapters contradict each other 😅 Gen 1: Day 3 - creates all the vegetation (seed bearing plants and trees) and said it was good, the plants grew Day 4 - creates the sun (which plants need to grow, but whatever... Magic, I guess) (its kind of silly to have evening and morning without the sun revolving around the earth 😅, but hey.... Magic too, I guess) Day 5 - the ocean creatures Day 6 - all the animals and THEN he creates men and women after the animals..... Hmm... Men and women 🤔🤔🤔 NOW 😂😂 Gen 2: No shrub had appeared and no plant had yet sprung up. Because God didn't create a sIave to do his work yet. So he made Adam, Got him to name every single animal while at the same time trying to see if Adam could find a "suitable helper" amongst the animals 😅 and THEN after figuring out that the animals would not be a suitable helper, he was like "well, I guess I have to make him a woman.... Go to sleep boy!" If that isn't the biggest slap in the face to women.... This fictional character thought so little of them that he had Adam spend hours, and if the authors of this fable weren't so ignorant - it would have taken him months, to name all of the animals and then, after all of that, he thought about creating a woman. Smfh how disgusting.

@@steveghikadis thank you 🙏🏾that’s a good question. Ask any scientist, we live in a world that is far beyond what our five senses can perceive, beyond what can put in a test tube and experiment in a lab. There have been many recorded supernatural experiences recorded by people across human experiences not just the 21st century, that there are no natural explanations for. The challenge is that, if a persons world view has eliminated the possibility of the supernatural, then they will only look for answers from a naturalistic materialistic world view. By materialistic I mean time space and matter. The real question is, does your world view allow for the possibility of the supernatural, things beyond the visible world that majority of the time, we can not understand or even perceive? Something to think about. Once again, I really appreciate you engaging 🫡

@@TheNarratorKS I appreciate your friendly dialogue. The supernatural has not been ruled in as an option at this time. Until it is, it is reasonable and rational to believe that there is nothing beyond the natural world. Personal experience is flawed and you cannot rule out all natural explanations, including hallucinations with stories you’ve heard…which, I’m not saying is the case. I’m not a doctor. Just food for thought. Proposing a supernatural answer requires at least something concrete to put forward as evidence. Since you cannot do that here, I am comfortable saying that demons don’t exist. The way that fairies and leprechauns don’t exist. Am I 100% sure on any of the above? No, no one can be that certain on anything. But without at least something other than personal experience, it’s safe to say that these ideas are just imagined beings from stories in the human culture. We are great storytellers. Thank you again for this kind exchange.

@@steveghikadis thank you for your friendly dialogue, the challenge with your world view of ruling out the supernatural because you have not seen or experienced the supernatural is understandable, but the challenge there is that you are not looking for it because you have ruled out the possibility, it would be like using a metal detector to find plastic at the beach, youre never going to find it, because you are trying to use the material to find and easure the immaterial, that is the nature of the supernatural, it transcends space and time and matter etc. And yes we should not eliminate the possibility of natural explanations, except even the natural phenomenoms that can be explained are sometimes set in motions by things we can not express in material terms, of course nothing is 100% understood, thats why i encourage you to stay curious, as i am also curious. People claiming that a person who died is still alive is not rare. I forgot the name of the phenomenon, but it happens to fans of influential people who died a tragic death. These fans who do not cope with it can start seeing the influential persons everywhere. Like Elvis. This also happens with mythical creatures as well. Basically, if a person wants something to be real hard enough, they will start finding patterns that are not there.

Hey @floyd i appreciate you checking out the video, youre absolutely right, there is a phenomenon where "dye hard" fans lose their icon and chose not to believe they are dead, i thought of thesame possibility too and yes its absolutely possible. But one thing, Jesus' birth, death and resurrection were prophesied centuries before and recorded, and ends up happening according to these prophesies, when he died, he physically bodily came back to life and cooked for his followers, even one of his followers, Thomas, doubted and Jesus asked him to put his fingers into the holes where they nailed him to the cross... my point is, im thinking through it thoroughly and the evidence stacks up too much its not match for any other person in history that we could say, they died and their followers had this phenomenon, i encourage you to read just rhe gospels for yourself and see the accounts recorded, then you can decide for yourself. Hi @hayward thanks for checking out the video, i agree with you that it may be possible that the Caananites worshipped a God called Yahweh, reasons being that Isreal and Caanan were neighboring groups in bible times, but that doesnt mean they worshipped the same God. But be intellectually honest with yourself, the concept of a creator creating this world is not something unique to any one single group of people or even the desert raiders you mentioned, human groups/ tribes across millenia have looked around them and acribed what they see to have been put into existence by something/ someone greater and they referred to it as God, and have resulted in different ways to connect with this God, whatever they made it to be, in a sense, the human desire for something greater than us can be argued to be intrinsic. You could argue that popular christianity does not mirror Jesus standards, the good thing is we know that and we put our hope in jesus to live better, but if someone doesnt believe, then what is their hope in? i am just thinking with you here, think about it, what is your ultimate purpose? else evething we dois meaningless including having this conversation right now. And no jesus was not the king of the jews, that was a title used to mock him when he gave his life to be totured for our sake, and people did believe him, some did not just like us today.

hey Kelvin, thanks for sharing your thoughts. You know whats crazy? we have the same name 😂 what are the odds lol. I agree with you a man dying and coming back to life doesnt prove much, in fact there have been many accounts of this happening in many different places around the world. What makes Jesus a unique scenario is that, his birth, death and resurrection were prophesied centuries before, in fact, when he was alive, he also told them of his death and resurrection, when you read the gospel accounts "matthew mark luke and john" its hard to claim Jesus situation was like others. But as to your question of what we need a god for, we can both agree that we all live for something, like i stated in the video i recommend you watch from 8:33 again, either we are going to make something within this world our ultimate purpose or we can make something higher than us our ultimate purpose, personally i believe humans are at the top of all things that exist, looking out for anything else i can see, touch and feel otherwise material things to be my ultimate purpose somehow feels i am looking beneath me instead of looking to something higher than me, that would be whoever/ whatever that brought me into existence, and the rest of this world, and i call that God. But what do you think?

@@TheNarratorKS thanks for your reply, it is not often that I get a response from the person that actually made the video that I replied to. There's a lot here to cover but I will just focus on the subject of morality. Morality does is subjective, there are many people that don't agree that certain things should be considered wrong so to say that we have or need a deity to manage or give us objective morality. We can both agree that stealing is wrong but when you add context and perspective to the conversation our opinions may change. Just to touch on the other topic of fulfilled prophecies, the gospels that you mentioned have been considered as potentially fraudulent or copied and for the one that may have been legit (I think Paul) was written with foreknowledge of the old testament, wasn't written during the time Jesus was supposed to have lived. So the writings about Jesus could have been written with those prophecies in mind!

The god of Christianity and Islam is also the god of the Jews. The god of the Jews is named Yahweh, but before there were any monotheistic Jews worshiping him, there were Canaanite polytheists. The Canaanites placed Yahweh as one of the sons of El, among several others. Yahweh also had a wife who was also his mother. Before the Canaanites incorporated him, Yahweh was the god of a bandit tribe named the Shasu, except back then his name was Yhw (Yahoo!). This means that god was invented by desert raiders, then evolved several times before becoming the contemporary concept. Christianity in 2024 has almost nothing to do with Jesus' ministry. Jesus was not the savior of mankind, he was the king of the Jews, except nobody believed him, because it was a lie.

When you factor in the fact that many religions predate Christianity, all of the special qualities of Jesus falls apart. "he defeated death"... Congrats, that simply means the writers saw/heard of the events of previous myths and legends and wanted to make this character different. Except he isn't different, 5 minutes of research and you'll go through a handful of similar stories that predate it. If you take superman for example, he was not originally as powerful as he is now. As time has progressed, attributes and powers were tagged on to superman until we have what we know now. This same process is what created Jesus. He isn't original lol. He's is the compilation of tales and abilities that predated him. The writers who composed this book were aware of previous legends, which is why you can find stories from the bible that are almost plagiarism levels of unoriginality. Please do not take my word for it though.... Look it up yourself..... "stories in the bible that were inspired by previous legends."

Hi KS, Well done for examining your thoughts; many people don't ever approach their religious upbringing and try to figure if it's true or not. I loved your view on science approaching the how but not the why, it's really not something that science is equipped to answer. Science is the process of understanding the how, you wouldn't ask why your toaster can't boil water, it's just not made for that. You pointed out that scientists have their presuppositions so I'd like to point out that your thinking did too, you assumed that the universe has a why. For myself as an atheist I know it's uncomfortable thinking that life is purposeless but I think of it as having no "intrinsic" purpose which means I'm free to find the purpose that speaks to me. I fill my life with people I love, charitable work and hobbies that fulfil me. Someone else will find completely different meaning in this life and that's just as valid as mind. I'd love to believe that there's a million dollars in my bank account, that would be very comforting but the comfort of a thought doesn't make it true. My reason for being an atheist is just one step further from something you said yourself at 7:20, you say that all religions have conflicting truth claims and that they can't all be right. I'll point out to you that they can all be wrong. Scientific approaches to understanding the world have taught me that there's an explanation of the world without any need for a God so the addition of any God merely adds more complexity and adds more questions than it answers and our good friend Occam taught us that the simplest solution is often the best. Thanks for the video, good luck in your exploration, I'd encourage you to continue

Hi Mike, first i want to thank you for watching the video and engaging in my thoughts. I am glad that there are things we both agree on like "science approaching the how but not the why". I think its nice that even though you dont believe in a God, you are still in search of meaning and purpose in life, which i find interesting because i wrestled with that proposition too, my thoughts were, if this world is only a material accident, then does it matter whether you chose to love someone or "un-alive" them? if it doesnt matter at the end of the day, if there is no final judgement, then why should it matter? if we say it matters now, because it fulfils a current need, have we then now, created our own god? think with me brother, i'm not trying to diminish your prepemise trust me, i challange my positions just as hard.

what were you questions that science answered?

Hi thanks for asking and watching the video. Some of the questions that bothered me personally were things like; why do we even exist in the first place, why is nature the way it is, diversity in human behaviors, morality. These are some of the questions I wrestled with. And scientific research has had a lot of answers for those questions you can google them, but you’ll notice one major thing, science tells you the “how” but hardly ever the “why”. As I explained at this point of the video. 3:05

Well…here’s the thing, it’s not necessarily a “Cosmic Accident” And asking what purpose we have is begging the question. “Why not just live like everything is meaningless and purposeless” why would you? Make your own purpose. I understand it gives comfort to people thinking that they may have a divine purpose. But there is no reasonable grounds for that, so live life the way you want to, you know as long as you’re not causing harm to others well being. I’ll go back to “the how, not the why” If an Apple falls from a tree, we can explain the how Would you like to explain the why? Why do you imply purpose behind something that stems from natural laws of physics? No. Jesus does not have verifiable documentation of a resurrection, these 500 witnesses you speak of can only be found within the bible and no other reliable documentation. No, there is not a god shaped vacuum in the heart of every human. There has been a society that’s lived without believing in God It’s true Humans have turned to something more supernatural as a means for comfort, or explanation, but intuition isn’t evidence for anything greater. Great point by the end, indeed it’s someone who claimed to be God. Ow is there actually justifiable reasons to believe these claims? Many people who are atheists now, were theist, Christians. They set out to seek, and found the bible isn’t reliable.
