There’s only 4 units left now: 4487-4488, 4506, 4588, so the next few Next-Gens at JFK/Far Rockaway will be either retired by either a new Nova or New Flyer, or replaced by an Eastchester Next-Gen. So remind ur bus friends to get final shots of the Next-Gens at Eastchester if they can, because once they leave for JFK/Far Rockaway, no more Next-Gens in not only Co-Op City, but the entire Bronx.

So this bus was loaned from Grand Avenue Depot. If I was the MTA, I would permanently swap some New Flyer Diesels with New Flyer Hybrids for less congestion on Fresh Pond routes. EDIT 6/15/24: From the NYC Bus roster, 9543 is officially at Fresh Pond now! Edit 7/16/24: It’s back at Grand Avenue now 😢

Why’s 9051 rare?
its not just 9051 its the 2023 nova buses that are rare on the Q11/21. Most likely due to the fact that they are part of Far Rockaway and Far rockaway is just borrowing fleet from JFK.

they arent its the fleet that is. Far rockaway use to have its own fleet. But Sandy destroyed the faciility so the fleet was housed in JFK and became apart of it
@@med7870If it wasn’t for Sandy only one depot would be running New Flyers, but now I’m happy that both are running both because Woodhaven and Cross Bay Blvds have at least one Far Rockaway route and at least one JFK route, and I love seeing the buses there!

B mean that go to the casino and with out the B It means that the bus is not going to the casino.
