Bahia del Sol, El Salvador - Crossing the sandbar in a sailboat into the estuary April 2024.
Переглядів 3293 місяці тому
In this episode I document crossing the entry into Bahia del Sol, with 2 other vessels. We are guided in by a pilot boat which is operated by Bill and his helper. Bill is the local contact for crossing the sandbar, as it is nearly impossible and extremely reckless to attempt the crossing without a guide. Recently, SV Rum Truffle suffered a tragic accident, and sank upon entry. DISCLAIMER: Altho...

A sandwich like that made with fresh bread absolutely works for breakfast... I'll pass on the Micky D's tho... OK not the fries... No one tried to sell you a Turkish carpet?... when looking at the amazing old architecture I wonder... "how did they build that?... why did they quit?"
I enjoyed this video thanks bro
Good times

Epic...magnificent...splendid...adenturous...inspiring...let's see, what else...seriously though I can smell the air watching your video. And nothing tastes like that ancient ice! Saving this video to watch whenever I feel homesick.
Bob was trippin when I told him you went to that High School. Thanks for the comment.
I was on the group chat for Marina Chiapas when rum truffle got stuck. Absolutely heartbreaking. 💔
Loved the video!! 🎉
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching
Question? How much English is spoken in the Mexican towns you stop at?
That’s a loosely framed question, so the real answer is “depends”. Some places none at all, and some quite a bit. Depends on the size of the town or village. I would recommend at the least have a google translate ability for more in depth conversations, otherwise ordering foood, beer, finding a gas station, you can get by with hand signals, and basic knowledge of elementary spanish. That’s the beauty of traveling foreign lands. Good luck, and enjoy.
Great stuff!
Bob is such a ham!
Cool. That was a fun night! 😊
Sweet hangs!! All this excitement- double the sweat 😂
Awesome... enjoyed watching...😎
Hey Dude. I’m still following you. I try to figure out your timeframes and when you are where. Some titles will say month and year. That helps. Nice to see the Vietnamese series. I only want to travel there by couch. You did a good job!
Thanks for watching the videos and supporting the channel.
Wow, really digging your channel here in La Paz Mexico. Keep it up, great stuff! You are doing a great job of capturing the spirit of a vagabond cruiser
Thanks a lot. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Spread the word 😁
well done. hell of an adventure, mate!
thanks buddy, how’ve you been?
Glad Bob bounced back, nothing broken. Great adventure!
Great to see your videos again.
Thank you for commenting and watching the videos. Please share your enthusiasm with your friends, as more videos and more episodes are coming soon. 🫡🏴☠️⚓️
Quite interesting. Yes brother you had the right to ask a few questions. You were charitable and offered to buy that girl some food who came up and asked you, and you just asked her to walk with you for a bit, and would take her somewhere nice. That's not a crime, but yes there are plenty scammers out there trying to take advantage of tourists, you did the right thing, always always stick to your own standards.
Thanks for your level headed response and thank you for watching.
Hi, I am about to install my forward scan in hole of the old transducer. In other words I am getting rid of my old transducer.is it stupid? Is forward scan trouble free?
without seeing what you are working with it is hard to say. assess obstruction free placement and follow the installation instructions to see if your existing hole can be used, or if you will have some extra work to do. I am very happy so far with the performance of the sensor. Good luck and thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven’t already 💪🏻⚓️🫡
Greetings amigo! glad you enjoy my country, thanks for showing those amazing places, this channel has a lot of potential! Safe sailing!

Nice video, Pawel! Once again I am amazed by how much your videos just keep getting better and better.
Thank you my brother. I appreciate you taking the time to watch, and thank you for all the memories last season. More content to come
Brother I lived in sihanouville for total of two years I think.cambodia is aww but it's as dark and as bright as u let it be
I think that pretty much applies to the outlook on life anywhere. Agreed.
Absolutely great video. Thank you so much for sharing :)
Thank you for watching, and comment. I hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe.
Are u crossing at slack tide??
High slack. You should have about 12’ under you if you have a sailboat.
I spent a couple of months there on one of Bill's moorings back in 2016.
thank you for watching and please help support my channel by subscribing 😊
Cool
thank you for commenting and watching. please share and subscribe 😎🏴☠️
I imagine it must be one helluva special place that skippers are willing to take a chance on crossing that sand bar. The juice must be worth the squeeze!!
It’s a shelter for the summer and it really is a special kind of place.
Great stuff! At least you found a McDonald's in your video. I'm still looking! 😂
Thanks bud!
I think you were at the tourist trap area. You have to go to inland. DOn't stay at the tourist area.
can you share your preset video ?
This warning seems mis-directed. It's not about "the yard"... it's about the contract worker(s) you were dealing with. He was clearly not reliable... BUT faulting San Carlos Marina (as the title indicates) seems like a misnomer. Also, this behavior (not working until you're there; pushing schedule boundaries, etc.) is absolutely common in the US too. In my experience, it's not about location, it's just a recurrent "marine contractor" behavior. Pawel is correct, you need to be wary, involved and create a tight schedule.
Hi chào bạn tới du lịch vn chúng tôi.anh thấy đấy cảnh sắc thiên nhiên vn đẹp không nơi đâu có hoang dã ẩm thực ngon .bổ.rẻ.con người thân thiện.chúc bạn có chuyến đi vui vẻ.❤🇻🇳👍
The Government wants to shut down train street, but in my opinion, it’s one of the few things that city has to offer tourists. There’s the puppet show and the lake with the temple, that’s about it.
tuyệt vời ❤❤❤❤❤
amazing place in an amazing country with amazing people surviving an amazing history. Thanks for taking the time to video and edit the video. I know it takes a lot of time. It blows me away to see the hard working Vietnamese making a living, creating farms out of that difficult terrain through the years. If you have the time, you should go to Central VN and see if you can go to one of the larger caves in Phong Nha. I think you will be further impressed by VN's diverse topography. And we get to live vicariously through you :-)
thank you for commenting. VN is an amazing place, and I shall be back again to further explore this cultural gem.
Da Nang Part 4, amazing, my friend

@@sailingkeylimepie-pirateflag I'm waiting your part 4.
Another great video, Pawel! Laura and I are loving, taking the journey with you! Hope to see you in San Carlos soon!
Much obliged to hear you enjoyed, and took time to watch the video. Ton of new content in the pipeline, so stay tuned. See you, hopefully in San Carlos sometime in the future. Heading to Caribbean Sea. @@EricWal
Thanks for the video. I’m looking at a boat in that yard. Hopefully I can do most of the work myself. My main concern is getting tools and equipment in from the US.
Good luck with your purchase. Be mindful of the insanely hot and humid summers. Prices have gone up a 100% for yard work too in San Carlos. Bring as much supplies as you can. Availability of marine items in area is very limited. Cheers and thanks for watching.
Police always messing up the fun ❤😅😂
AMAZING ❤
