L landlords should not be allowed to buy paint
Taking away a thing an Architect put in is horrible, an Architect leaves their mark in their buildings and some people take it away, that’s taking away a part of an Architect..And so what if they aren’t famous? Well known? The best in the world? They still put time and taught into what they built just for some people to take it away. Designs erased and built- rejected and accepted, most Architects really care about what they do- so it really angers me when I see their work get painted over, removed, criticized…Why? Why not keep it (Learned all I know from an amazing guy named Kaveh ❤️🩹)
Just found out after 2 years of renting my apartment that my landlord glued on one of our locks
Much nicer very good work
yaelokre mentioned
I thought you were making it into a soup
thank you, you are a gem
"We could not return your deposit due to apartment not being in original condition"
I love the glass doorknob
I hope you own the place now or don't plan on ever moving, or being evicted because you're going to have to redo all of that or be charged for them to redo it.
Great, now tell me how to get the goddamn paint off the fricken door hinges!
Paint on everythin
Why didn't you repaint under them, they look worse lol
For a second I thought they were throwing them away and replacing them
Then they keep your whole security deposit for "damaging the paint" this video is a psy op by the landlords, dont fall for it.
Way better now ❤
I think my landlord would get mad if i did this
Totally GORGEOUS ❤❤❤❤ Amazing job
So good I wish we still had these options the junk in the store don't last 5 days let alone half a centry
this is destruction of cultural property and you can be charged with a hate crime. landlords are people too...
I feel like the people who are hating on this including those who appreciate this are people who grew up in almond moms beige house 😂
I love the work you re doing, preserving instead of putting ehite trend to make it "modern"
Your restorations NEVER disappoint I swear🤩
Phew, I was worried you were going to paint it 😇
My door was glass, it's was glass. (Edit yes also the crystal knobs)
I'd make sure to to test the metals to make sure no lead was mixed with any brass as that's usually why they paint over, it's a requirement
Oh my God did they paint the brick on the fireplace????
landlords have no care for craftsmanship
I think that this may be a 1920’s piece! Potentially due to the prohibition, this may had been made to be able to hastily hide alcohol!
Many people don’t have a home and y’all worried about paint…
Beautiful dresser. Exquisite veneer work. You made it look fabulous.
The rice cooker is so real 😭
well there goes your deposit but lets be honest the landlord never intended to give it back
Not all landlords do “landlord special”
That hardware is really cool.
The Wassily chair is so famous, but I've wondered... are they comfy?
I know we all love the burl but the shape is really big player here too. The lack of bevels or carved patterns lets you appreciate the pattern of the wood properly.
Is that a Wassily Chair?
I love the simple shapes of midcentury furniture. The simplicity lets you appreciate the texture and/or pattern, like subway tile or butcher block, and doesn't have those little decorative pointy bits on the bottom that make it a nightmare to clean and also hurt really bad when you accidentally walk into the piece and your foot goes under it.
my house was built in 1877 and DANG. we got a lot of crystal knobs
lead paint soup 😋
Be careful and make sure you test for lead
Those chairs are so cool. Great work with the restoration
DO NOT USE THOSE GLASS DOORKNOBS, biggest mistake of my life!
Wtf is this terrible ass song "We have buried all your children" ??!??????
If hit the surface with a rough grit sand paper just to knock the old paint off where it sticks out and you'd probably need know
Speaking of historic, I saw the Egyptians while they were making the Rosetta Stone! Guess you could say I’m an ‘oldie but a goodie!’ Haha! ❤
The song that was playing was “high way to hell”
"Um, I think you'll find I paid $11.99 for that pot of paint back in 1999, so if we count the time it'll take to repaint, I'll just take your whole security deposit"
So nice!
