Ultimate off-cut project? Hardwood clock build

After a few busy months in the workshop the offcut pile was getting out of hand. So I decided to put pen to paper and create a design to keep the beautiful cuts of timber away from the firepit. I saved some cuts of Mango, Indian rosewood, oak, cedar, duglus fir and redwood.

How do you change the batteries if you glue that in. I love Wood so beautiful.
Thank you! You can still access the batteries easily as the case opens up, just have to take it off the wall.

Hi :) How long works LED lights on this 3 battery pack ?
Looks great! I'm thinking about doing one myself. Only critique I would have is regarding the LED strips--I'm going to experiment with insetting them further and possibly adding a diffuser so that the individual lights aren't as obvious. Good job!
