    Hey Steve... reach out to me. I wanna take you all on a hunt for a grand slam Turkey hunting extravaganza out here in Washington. I also have an “in” for some public land access opportunities in some pretty good mule deer, Turkey., Elk, Black Bears and Cougar. Plus the awesome fisheries on the Columbia River . World class steelhead fishing. The guy who owns all that land is open to the idea but has no clue how to manage it. That’s where your guys project could be a big help.

    Most of what is in this video is good info except the part about dragging the anchor to create the boat's movement down the river. What is happening when you do this is that you are disturbing, (raking) the bottom of the river where the native salmon and steelhead spawn and by doing so you are tearing up the reds. Please don't do that, learn to control your boat with either the oars or the motor.

    Thanks for the info. Quick question about downrigging. I've seen this before, but could you put the flasher directly to the DR ball then clip the line up from the ball? That way you don't have to fight the flasher? Will you get sufficient action on the lure?

    • @Broxty
      @Broxty 3 роки тому

      We call it a dummy flasher, we add a line to the ball that will fall back 15 feet or so, clip the line with a spoon onto the downrigger.

    Doesn't help posting rivers on pautzkes blog telling people where to fish. Nisqually is a perfect example. Now its elbow to elbow. More garbage on the river, a more hostile environment due to overcrowding. Not everybody needs to fish bobber and eggs. I'm sure you would not appreciate 25 guys tossing spinners into your slot you've fished quietly on your own in previous years. And yes there's better cures than pautzke fire cure. Smile n wave

  • @dh1270
    @dh1270 7 років тому

    I notice the sodium sulfite being used isn't a pautzke product. Also noticed the brown anise bottle isn't either in your NAK combination I saw online.So much for only using pautzke products. Should be pautzke/pro cure.

    Nice catch! Instead of eggs I use single bead with the same methods for steal head, and it works great, salmon stop eating as soon they enter the fresh water here, so wonder if single bead with the same kind of setup would work over there since they eat, any one ever try ?

    • @TheDinglin

      Beads work great here in the Northwest for Steelhead. I know a few guys have started using 16mm beads for salmon. I may try this season for Chinook, using beads. Eggs under a float work so well here for most in-river Chinook fisheries, it's hard not to do it :-)
