Quite a few years ago our friend had a great experience at Two Tales Ranch Zoo to share with us. We used his NovaChat AAC device to plan out what he wanted to say and saved it into his stories. Planning ahead helps us remember all the details we want to share, even when talking to new people in new situations. My friend used to be a full-time AAC users but has been able to transition to communicating primarily through speech. At this time, the AAC device was helpful to support sharing in more challenging social situations.
