Hello, my name is Erik, I am 16 years old (2024) and live in Sweden. I film some of the things I do when I'm at home. It can be anything that I like to do and want to film.
Sanding Icy Roads with Massy Ferguson 35
It snowed a couple of days ago but then it got warm so the snow melted but it didn't melt away completely before it froze again and now the roads are icy. So let's do something about it!

Good job Sir, love from lndonesia 😍😍 succes
Thanks 😀
när man väl hittar en svensk vloog nog fxx pratar dom engelska 👎👹👹👎
Man, you need to watch some RUSSIAN farm videos. #1-Why wasn't the spreader on the pallets under the shed #2-Have your lynch pins tethered to your lift arms with light dog chain #3-If you just weld a 2'sq.i.d. tube under the bracket, no tools to remove the trailer ball and now you can add accessories like a rear carrier
1. I don't know. It just has ended up on the grond. 2. The original lynch pins had a chain, but it has bin gone for yers and it's just one of those little things you never end up fixing. 3. That's a great idea! I've been thinking about make a new hitch for a while but haven't figured out how I want it. But now I know. Thanks. 😀
Messy Massy or Massy Messy :D
Thanks, I missed that. 🤦♂️
🤠👍
😀
Great progress! Tip to you when you have samekind of situation than that fender attachment to floor beam. So you can use taptite screw to make it easier 🙂👍
Thanks, good idea, I'll keep that in mind.
Good video. Makes me miss clearing snow with my old 1949 Ford 8N
Thanks.
Great job my friend, greetings from Turkiye.
Thanks 😀
it seems you enjoy plowing maybe some cabin inprovements wouldnt hurt. if its warm in side. it's lot of plowing they should buy you diesel. best wishes and happy new year
Yes, I like to plow. I have bought another tractor that I am in the process of restoring. So next year I will have a better tractor.😀 It's both diesel and has a cab. (you can see it on my channel) Thanks and happy new year to you too.
Hiya mate , I’ve just purchased one of these myself. What’s the difference between the big gas filter you have on in the video and the original smaller one.
The difference is that the gas filter also takes out bad fumes and smells, not only partikels like the other (smaller) filter.
You are not joking when you say restoration 🙂
No, when you do it you might as well do it as good as you can.😁
nice videos, keep up the good work =)
Thanks. 😀
Please make more videos Erik. Your videos are very interesting.
Thanks, I definitely will.
Jävlar vad bra det blev 👍👍
Tack😀
I like your video. I have two tractors, an International 574 and a John Deere 1950 4x4.
Thanks, look like some nice old tractors.
Great little machine
Yes, it really is.
@CountryLifeinSweden-by7ui I use McCormick Ih B-275 only sparingly
It also looks like a great little tractor.
Very nice job! Thank you for explaining the techniques you use and why you do certain things - shows you have some experience doing this; very valuable skill! Smart to plan more than one pass as the snow accumulates. What is that wooden arm on the roof support - a camera mount? Can the blade be tilted in the other direction? Is it used for anything other than snow? Is the snow ever too deep for that blade to be effective? Do the neighbors ever help with their equipment, or are you the only provider in your neighborhood?
Thanks. Nice to hear that you think I am good at snow plowing.😀 The wooden arm on the roll cage is a camera mount. I didn't feel like buying one so I build something quick and easy. It's not very good but it works. The blade can be tilted but you have to remove some bolts, which is a bit tricky. So I don't do it if I don't have to. The blade is mostly used for snow but, i have also used it to smooth out land (after it has bin dug) and grading roads. The snow is probably never to deep for the plow (if it doesn't come a couple of feet or so) the problem is the tractor, it does not have have enough power or weight to pull the plow If it is too much snow. But it's not a problem because it almost never comes more than 8 inches at once, which is no problem to plow. No they don’t, but nobody else has the equipment or the knowledge. Then there are only 7 houses that are inhabited year-round, the rest are "summer houses" (direct translation from Swedish). And also I think it's fun to plow (most of the time) and I get paid to plow.
Hi, can you tell me what road bollards are for, it doesn't seem like a road with a lot of traffic
No, 90% of the year there isn't much traffic, but for a few weeks in the summer there are a lot of people here. And some can drive quite fast so the road bollards are there to mark out speed bumps.
Well done, prevention is better than cure@CountryLifeinSweden-by7ui
Probably should have wrapped the fabric on a wooden post or plastic pipe, submerged it, and then unrolled it underwater as you put gravel down. Might have gone a little easier.
Good idea, I'll remember that and try it next time. But one problem is that everything wants to float.
Riktigt imponerande.
Great job
Excellent job on the fender fabrication. Really impressive work. Do you expect to offer up cut pieces as a kit for others to redo their tractor cabs or do you plan to offer replacement cab parts as a side business? It is really coming along nicely.
Thanks, nice to hear that people like it. Not a bad idea. It's something I'll keep in mind.
Good decision to walk away when things are not going exactly right. Helps your brain process the situation and usually results in a good outcome. This project is really (literally) taking shape!
Yes, that's best to do that, so you don't mess it up even more.😁 Yes, it really does!
Great progress made! Your skills are top notch - where did you learn? Does it come naturally, did you go to trade school, or did you learn from family or a mentor?
Yes, now it's going well. Thanks. Yeah, I guess you can say it comes kind of naturally. I have worked with my father and grandfather since I was a child. (Not so much with metal though). I've done lots of different things on my own and learned that way. But I never went to any school to learn the skills I have.
Nice job.
Thanks!
👍🏻👌🏻
You might want to see if you can get access to a "English Wheel" locally to help mold the sheet metal to any curved shapes you need. Or I've seen people bang metal on like a bean bag pouch or some dense material to aid in soft bending.
Good ideas, I'll have to try.
Will the wall thickness of the square tube give you sufficient metal to tap and secure the plates with bolts or screws? I would think the wall thickness would be too thin.
You are right, it is probably a bit thin but I have no other way to do it. And it will have enough strength for what I'm doing.
Rivet nut would have been good solution also when your tube wall thickness is not enough but remember that next project 😁 That amonut of bolts will hold the floor in place and i have samekind of Volvo Bm T430 myself and wanting to make this same restoration to my floor but maybe next summer 👍
Do you have any service manuals to help you put it all back together or provide part numbers / details on all the screws, nuts, etc.? Can you still get the cab panels, glass, and window seals?
Yes, I have a service manual. And I'm pretty good at remembering where things should be. You can probably find panels but they will be used then and they are probably rusty, so I might as well make my own. You can get glass cut to the right size at a local glass shop. And window seals you can get online.
Cool project to work on. Hopefully you can find parts.
Thanks! And it's no problem to find parts for it.😀
What a very interesting project. Well done!
Yes, it was a little different, but it turned out well. 😀
Great job look forward to the next video
Thanks!
Nice progress made on this restoration. Looking very good!
Thanks! It’s coming along nicely now. 😀
Your practical safety methods are noteworthy. It does not make sense to hurry. My father proved that the hard way when he lost an arm in a farm accident.
I try to take it easy and not stress, but it doesn't always work, good to be reminded!
Tack!
👍🏻
I've always been tempted my only concern is how long that screen on the mask will last me👍
What screen do you mean?
@@CountryLifeinSweden-by7ui Sorry pal i mean the large protective outer screen.
Ok, it lasts quite a while, maybe 10 hours of straight welding, (depending on how much splatter you get on it) I don't really know, I am on the end on my second one doing my tractor restoring and a new one is 7-8 dollars.
Very good way of cutting trees. Please make more videos of Swedish Country life
Thanks. Yes, I will definitely do that 😀
Looks like pretty decent workout!
And it sure was. 😀
Nice job felling those trees. Good tip about measuring when cutting for firewood. Nice treat to see the young moose! Looking forward to seeing an update on the tractor project!
Thanks. Yeah, it is really fast and easy way of doing it. And the next video is going to be on the tractor.
Looks great!
Thanks 😀
I am buying one of these, this week, thanks for the review!
Good progress! Much stronger using the tubes along with sheet metal. Lots of challenging angles! The workbench and vice are coming in handy.
Much better with everything cleaned up. A lot of good work done. Too bad you lost some footage. Your improvised crane worked perfectly; when you work alone, you have to find a way! Also, it looks like the playlist of this series is in reverse order.
Oh, I hadn't seen that. Thanks 😀. I have changed the order so the first film is at the top.
