MX4 or MX3.
Переглядів 1549 місяців тому
So the rumor is since the MX 3 stock motor has a higher RPM maximum limit then the MX4 does. That if you upgrade the MX 3 and the MX 4 the same exact way, the MX 3 will destroy the MX 4 in a flat out race. Now I already have an MX4 so I would sell and buy the new mx3

Had this bike for almost 100miles and love it over my LBX. YThe surron is unable to go up my main roads hills to the trails and is pegged for like 2min struggling at 40mph. Ori is just chillin up this road. Suspension is much more plush. Unsure if the terrain modes are gimmicks or not (torque vs actual traction control). The internal gearing is quieter slow but louder than the surron being a hood rat and turns lots of heads with its odd noise
@@matthaze7906 that sick that you got the Gowow and it’s true it’s quieter, but yet it’s louder depending on the speed you’re going and the modes are kind of gimmicky, but you need to download the app because with the app you’re able to go into the throttle curve and actually raise up the full percentage because on mine it wasnot giving me full power until I downloaded the app and went into the throttle curve. Let me know if you have any issues I could walk you through it.
@ Oh man cheetah isn’t even full torque… that’s crazy. I’d say the opinions of the looks are mixed but I love it and does look more dirt bike/motorcycle stance and is so future looking I get less smiles like the surron that could almost pass as a bicycle and more curious/concerned/bewildered looks and enjoy that. Also the wider tires and possible fit even a 100/100 is climbs much better and is more road worthy in hairpin turns.
@ with Surron ultra bee front forks and a 21 in front rim it would be an amazing trail machine. Let me know if you did the app
I just got an Ultra Bee too. I had a mx3 and then an Eride Pro SS 2.0 but the UB is so good I'm getting rid of the ERP too. Also how does the UB have 12,5kw vs 12kw of the ERP SS 2.0 yet it is faster even though it weighs 50lbs more lol.
@@simianstyle3746 I have an erp 2.0 as well and am selling it as well. Idk I was thinking the same thing. It feels so much more powerful. Don’t get me wrong that E ride. Pro feels very powerful but the Surron ultra be crazy powerful stock.
I can't decide between this or gas. I would choose the bike with the all terrain tires stock (black version). My longest road trip that I do frequently is a 25 mile round trip but I would love to be able to explore some trails too. Would you recommend the ultrabee or another e moto?
@@18183 ultra bee is definitely a top choice for trail riding, and the 2023 ktm freeride ex-e, there are a few leftovers in the country. There half off right now selling brand new for $5500 instead of $12,500if you can find one. I know California has 5-7 units left. I just talked to a dealer there and he said they still had a few left. In my opinion those are the 2 best trail bikes currently out. The ultra bee is more versatile due to its weight. But I believe the ultra bee needs some immediate upgrades. Like new rims and tires. After changing to a 21/18 setup makes the ultra bee flipping Ultra. But it will also make the bike bigger. Another consideration is to think about how heavy of a bike do you want? Do you want a full-size bike? Do you want a 125cc size bike? Do you want a small bike like a Talaria or a ERide pro. If you’re not doing more than 40miles a ride the 100% electric. If your doing 40-60mile rides than you need to go gas. But if your staying at the 40mile range give or take, electric is the shit. It’s life changing. There is another trail bike that I have done a few videos on, it’s called the GoWow Ori. It’s bigger than a Surron lite bee. And it’s a smige smaller than the Ultra bee. It’s an adventure bike, so trail riding, hunting because it’s silent, it will even do MX but it excels at adventure riding. Check out my videos on the gowow and let me know what you think about it. I actually love the gowow it is a fantastic bike. If you’re after a smaller bike with crazy stock power check out the Altis Sigma. And yes it comes in all black too. That bike is 98 volts so it will melt your face off if you twist the throttle to quick. Let me know some more information on how big of a bike you want. How much you weigh, how tall you are. How your planing on transporting the bike to the ride spot. Or if your supper lucky like me and can ride out your garage. Then I’ll be able to get you a better recommendation. Thanks for watching my videos. And stay tuned got some great content coming.
@mrKushmann1 thank you for your extensive reply. I live in Malta, a tiny island 17 miles long and 9 miles wide. I need a road legal motorcycle. Here the ultra bee can be insured and legal for about 90 usd a year. I was looking at the Altis too. I don't think I can drive it legally on the streets and I think it has less range because of a bit smaller battery, more power and same weight of the ultrabee. I don't want a full size bike because I am short, 5ft9 and weigh 170 and also because I wish to use it as my daily get around. So a smaller motorcycle is more comfortable. I feel that the light bee class is a bit too small to be in the streets. I have a car license and I can drive motorcycles up to 11kw power or a 125cc. I don't do a lot of offroad, but I want to explore a bit. I am between an ultrabee or a 125cc naked bike. Thank you
@@18183 right on Malta I’ve heard of it. Must be beautiful there. Not a wasteland like here in Las Vegas. Honestly if you’re not going to ride a lot of dirt. My 2 best road bikes are the ultra bee and the gowow. The gowow has working tail lights and brake lights and a head light and does 65 mph top speed. Have you looked at the eride pro sr? That is going to have more total watt hours than any other smaller bike. With a top speed of 70 with the 55 tooth sprocket on it. So you drop the teeth to like 48-50 for the road and the eride pro sr will do 80mph. I’m debating on grabbing one of them too. And selling my ERide pro SS.
Love the looks of this bike. Currently have a Surron Light bee with a 54t rear sprocket but still struggles to climb real hill climbs in loose dirt even with kilowatt climber 80/100 rear tire and a bit slow on the street up steep hills too. Think 9kw and the 3.5 rear tire real make the difference and found this bike for very completive pricing in the states. Wish the battery a little bigger and had spare parts on the website.
Totally agree with you about parts. That’s the major problem with this bike is where to get parts and there is no aftermarket support. If it don’t work off another bike then your out of luck. I love this bike. I have a Surron lbs and ultra bee and a talaria mx4 and a few others. This bike is amazingly smooth and the battery life is actually fantastic. More range adds more weight and where the gowow is currently is ok with me. It’s just the parts. I can’t find parts.
Thanks for watching. It really is a great bike. Amazing difference from the 2 stroke motor that originally came on this bike.
Was it a bolt on kit you bought or self built? Great video man just subscribed
@ thank you for watching my videos. The conversion was not a complete kit. I got the battery from 1 guy and the motor mounts. But the actual motor and controller came from china. I’m using the qs 138 70h v3 motor with the internal gear reduction. And a VOTOL controller. I’m going to probably but the electro and company’s controller. That should make a big difference in the power. Even though it’s super fast now. It’s like 2-3x as fast as the gas motor that was in it. It’s crazy the torque I love it. Do you have an E moto? I ordered the Altis Sigma so that should be pretty good. They postponed the delivery date to middle of December now so I got to wait another month and a half. Thanks again
Nice bike
Thank you. It really is the best bike. Better than everything I’ve bought so far
Too bad my carb leaks or id do it 😢😂
Yeah that would not be good. May be a little too much heat.
Ah the joys of having SO MUCH MONEY that you lose sight of reality. 😢
Right, or you realize that reality is not what you have been taught it was and that you are in charge of your life and what happens in it and when you stop being the character in someone else’s movie and become the hero in your movie than you see that reality is what you decide not what everyone else has decided it to be. is there a practical way to lock the bike up? I live in NYC, would love to ride that around but doesnt look like theres any real way to lock it up.
There is no real way to lock any bike up. If a thief wants it he’s probably going to get it. The good thing about the gowow is it’s a little heavier then the Surron so you just can’t pick it up and carry it where ever you want. The most important and expensive thing on these electric bikes are the battery. So taking the battery with you when you lock up a bike is definitely the way to go. I grew up in New Jersey down the shore in Sea Side heights so I know New York and yeah it’s definitely not an easy place to leave a 5000$ bike. Hoping it will be there when you get back. It’s actually an issue everywhere. Even here in Las Vegas. I hate leaving my bike, it gives me panic attacks wondering if it will be there or if someone even messed with it. But thanks for watching my videos. I got a lot of new content coming this fall. The heat here in the summer is not good for these emotos so the weather is just about to change and riding season is just about here. So stay tuned.
I think im going for the rfn deluxe with controller flash. No upgrades needed and the power I hear is extreme
There is a new RFN coming out soon that puts the old one to shame. It’s the RFN MX. And it looks absolutely amazing. But the RFN if a great platform to start you emoto journey.
@@mrKushmann1 I had the 4th surron sold in america 6 years ago and it was junk. I smiked the power system in 3 months and cracked the frame from a20 foot gap. It wasnt good. Thats why I am very hesitant on getting another one. The eride at first is the obvious choice but to me it looks poorly made and I believe I will break it. The rfn is what I want but not if its a pig with power.... I might get the ktm freeride. Its on sale for 5700 mew...
THe kind of terrain in this video was made for a rfn
Single track or trail riding or a pit bike Mx track.
Have you rode the rfn after flashed controller. I hear its eride pro type power now...
I’ve heard it helps a bunch with it flashed. If you put the eride up against a RFN and put the RFN in rocket mode it prob will be about the same. I think since the eride pro is lighter it would probably win but not by much. The rocket mode is better once you flash the controller at least you get 60 seconds or full power. The RFN is great it just needs some tweaking. The front end is low and needs to be raised. And the power needs to be bumped up. It’s just to tame in its stock form. But with motoclops bac 8000 controller it makes the bike where it should have been from the factory.
Talaria could be the king of its class if they had more power. THey are just way too gutless stock. Eride is very powerful and better for extreme riding.
I totally agree. I don’t know why the talaria is not 14kw with a 72v battery from the factory. It would put everything to shame.
@@mrKushmann1 THe eride to me looks and sounds clanky or cheap. The power is nice stock form. I like the talaria and the rfn. IM leaning towards the new talaria mx4 expert edition out of canada. Comes with manitou forks and magura brakes out of the box, they also claim it has 10 percent more power than the mx4
o this or your apollo rfn
This is the eride pro ss
@@mrKushmann1 I know. I was asking what you would take. THe rfn after the conttroller flashing by motoclops im hearing is quite a bit more poweerful than the eride. I just think I would break the eride, talaria and I have broke a surron, in fact I destroyed it
Hello i never riding any bike and i just bough talaria mx3 coz im in love with these ebikes. I bought it in Poland and wanna unblock it, my dealer says to me to first ride it one month then unblock coz Talaria might not take back my complaint if something in bike is wrong. was he right or can i really unblock it one the begining ?
First congratulations on the bike. They change your life. Yes it can be unlimited. From the factory they restrict the speed so under the horn in the front of the bike if you took the horn off the cover for the horn take that off and you’ll find a bunch of wires. There’s a loop brown wire there that you’re gonna cut. There’s plenty of videos on online showing how to do it and I believe there’s a sequence that you could do with the brake levers to do it as well but you’re gonna have to look that one up on like Facebook or UA-cam as well on the MX three how to unlock or unlimited the MX three but yes, it could be unlocked and a lot of times the dealers once you unlock it or unlimited, they don’t wanna warranty it still gonna warranty it so you’re fine
True. GritShift has been fantastic with me too. Rusty over there is awesome. The Batteries are crazy priced. And Vegas has been hot as a MF the past 2.5 months. We got like 2-3 more hot weeks and then we got riding season back again. I can’t wait. Sucks that you really can’t ride out here in the summer. It’s just to Damm hot. I need to get out and ride. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for showing what kind of bars NOT to put on a talaria. lol
Bars are personal preference as most things are in life. What works for you won’t work for everybody else. That’s why they make multiple styles of handle bars. So people can make Their bike work for them. Glad I could help.

I can't decide for the life of me what to buy.. its so stressful because i can't see any of these in person. Plus im so indecisive
Talk about indecisive, Why do you think I have so many of them. I just couldn’t decide on what to get. But my first one was the Talaria mx3. Great bike I just felt I wanted more power. At the time the Surron was the only other bike out so I bought 1 of them. And I soon realized that the Surron felt like a toy compared to the Talaria. When I saw the Talaria mx4 was coming out I sold my MX3 that same day I bought the new mx4. Such a great bike. And I do believe it is the best out of them all that I have. No matter what you get it will change your life. The most fun you can have with your pants on. Good luck and let me know what you choose.

First thanks for watching my videos. What bike to get between the Surron and the eride, I think there is another option if price is a factor. The Talaria xxx is 3350$ shipped to your door. Now I dislike lunacycles but they have great price on the talaria xxx. And since your older and smaller and lighter and are looking for a lighter more manageable bike my personal opinion is the Talaria xxx. It’s faster than the Surron and it’s a few pounds lighter than the Surron. Overall I believe for your age and size that’s the bike. If your focused on the Surron or the e ride than I would say go with the e ride s. Not the eride pro ss. The ERide s is 72 volt and 6000kw so it’s already faster than the Surron. The only reason I would tell you to buy a Surron is if you’re going to modify the shit out of it. That’s a lot of money and I’m sure that’s not where a 75 + retiree wants to be. And the eride s is cheaper than the Surron. So it’s lighter it’s faster it’s cheaper and it has a 72v battery stock. So I would say either a Talaria xxx or an eride pro s. Let me know what you think about that?
Good info coming from this guy.
Thanks for watching my videos.
Just ordered mine! Have you found handlebar raisers compatible with the Ori? Any other mods you’d recommend?
Yes I user a direct stem riser block. It really makes a difference. First I changed the handle bars but I really like the look of the stock bars coloration. So I put the stock bars back on and went with a riser block. a.co/d/00iALp72 Other mods, no not really. The bike is really good it’s a tad underpowered. The nominal power is 5kw with a 9kw burst on the turbo button. I think it should be 9kw nominal power with a 12kw turbo burst. But for some reason all manufacturers are scared to give the people what they want. We want more power. But the bike is amazing. I have a Surron a talaria mx4 and a ERide pro ss. The ERide pro is the fastest but it’s super loud and very twitchy. Where the gowow ori had an internal gear reduction instead of a belt or a gear box and it makes the bike super smooth. I love the gowow I just wish it had more power. Turbo doesn’t last long enough then you have to wait for it to reset before you can use it again.
@@mrKushmann1 really appreciate that info man, thank you. Would you say it’s comparable to light bee when not in turbo mode? Just sold my light bee because I wanted a bit higher seat and some more power. Is the chain o-ring? Would you recommend changing out the chain?
It’s faster than a stock Light Bee no doubt when it’s in in highest power mode. Not turbo. You have to download the app and in the app you go into the user settings portion and change the throttle curve. My bike came lower powered until I changed that setting and it made it much better. It’s a lot bigger than the lbx and it’s a lot heavier. But it’s a superior bike hands down. I believe if you got the x9000 controller you would be able to run it at a much higher KW but stock is 9kw on the turbo. I’ve told Gowow that they need to give us 12kw on the turbo and 9kw on the user settings mode. They told me at first they would look into it but then I didn’t hear anything so I contacted them again and I got they decided not to touch it. Very disappointing because they could just send you the update and wirelessly install the power patch. But the bike is fantastic for trail riding and single track. Not so much for Mx tracks. It just don’t have enough punch to be on the track. They need to give us a turbo that doesn’t time out. If you hit it it’s on until you hit it again. But they are being weird all of a sudden. Did you get the bike yet? How do you like it.? The chain I haven’t noticed any issues with it so far. The whole bike is built really well and doesn’t feel like a toy. I just got my MCO (manufacturer certificate of origin) so I’m going to see if I can get it street legal.
What handlebars do you have on the talaria and did you raise the seat? Thanks for your reply in advance
Yes I raised the seat. And I found these bars on Amazon. There awesome. Thanks for watching my videos. a.co/d/0eMTL3Ku
@MrKushmann The E-ride Pro SS is a Jack-Shaft, and that's not the future of these bikes, however,Talaria's gear-box is. Talaria recently released their 2nd generation controller for the 2025 Sting R. It's easily identified from the 1st generation Sting R controllers by the inscribed words reading STING R. The first generation Sting R controller inscribed on the face simply read TALARIA. The new 2025 Sting R controller has a 10% power gain over the 2023's R controller.
I don’t know about the Jack shaft being fazed out. The Jack shaft is here to stay for a minute. The gearbox is superior but also causes drag. But to be honest the extra gearbox is not ideal either. The best way is an internal gear reduction directly off the motor. This way there is no gearbox it’s like a direct drive from the motor to the chain. It makes it super smooth and Uber quiet. Check out the qs138 70h v3 electric motor. That has an internal gear reduction. Also if you look at my other videos with the gowow ori that bike has an internal gear reduction on it. No Jack shaft and no gear box. I believe that is the future of electric bikes. Not an external gear box. Even though I do like it on the talaria it causes a little bit of gear lash noise where the internal gear reduction does not. The newer talaria with the extra 10 % is not that much. It should be 10kw minimum not only 8.8kw. While it’s better than nothing it still needs the controller swapped out with the Darwin tc 500 or the tc-1000 to get the full potential out of the 60v battery. With the controller changed and the battery staying stock your able to pull 11.5 kw. Which is right were you want to be to have the most power possible without a new 2500 battery. Thanks for watching my videos.
talaria is the better bike, easy to unplug the brake sensors no wire chopping
I think the talaria is a better built bike that rides better and is quieter and smoother than the others in its class.
I rode this last Saturday at the electrify expo Long Beach. That bike was so much fun. Not for beginners especially with that torque.
There are so many settings that you can make it for brand new riders. Where the torque is gone and the learning begins. The gowow is a fantastic bike.
my dream bike☺☺☺
What one ? Or all of them?
i like All of them....All are my dream bike, but i dont have money😢😢😢 but i drive them in my dream😊😊😊
Can you please make a comparison between this and the RFN? I'm thinking of getting the RFN, but wanted to know more about which is the best option for "weekend" type of riding, hills and easy trails, maybe a bit of city riding also. Which is the most comfortable ride of all ebikes (below 10k), especially for a taller rider (6.2)? Thanks!
I’m in Las Vegas and our day time riding is over until September because of the day time temperatures. There 150’ in the sun and 105’ in the shade. So the bikes can’t do those temperatures. But I can tell you 100% it’s the gowow. It’s better than the Apollo. The Apollo is great don’t get me wrong but it’s is much cheaper of build quality. The gowow has an inturnal gear reduction motor so it’s super quiet and smooth. It looks different but I actually love the look of it now. I guess that’s because of how it preforms. The Apollo is better for all dirt riding. Not street. It’s top speed is a lot less than the gowow by like 12 mph. Even though it says it’s 12kw to the gowows 9kw. The gowow beats the Apollo in a flat out race. My choice is the gowow. I like the looks of the Apollo better but that’s it.
Also if you haven’t looked already the talaria mx4 has the most cockpit room in its class. And it’s the most comfortable and the smoothest throttle feel. From the top of the foot peg to the top of the seat it has an inch more than any other bike. The closest to that would be the gowow. That has the second most room from the pegs to the seat. Then last is the Surron and the Apollo they have the least room from peg to seat.
no way you made this with imovie
Yeah iMovie made the whole thing. With a go pro 11.
I bought a talaria a year ago put like 500 miles on it and now I bought an E ride recently and they’re both great I had a blast on the talaria it’s such a fun bike and it’s just a different experience. The power of the E-ride is just way too fun so my wife rides the talaria on eco mode around now
Oh right on. Yeah I got the wife on a Surron it’s a lot smaller so it fits her better. But the talaria is a different bike. It’s similar but it rides so different. It’s so smooth and quiet compared to the ERP. But they are great bikes.
I live in st george, im gonna come down to vegas, whats the track called?
It’s called Floyd lamb park, and I t’s in Las Vegas. Oh right on lemme know and we’ll try and get out. I can show you around.
Massively appreciate you taking the time for this comparison @MrKushmann! Would you say there's a sizable noise difference in your Talaria vs ERide particularly in the 0-20mph range? While watching many ERide videos, it seems noticeably louder than others. At first glance into this market, I thought it was an easy decision to grab an ERide (72v / lightweight) and plan to upgrade the controller when released. But that MX4 platform/gearbox has amazing benefits, although getting the Talaria to 72v will cost, possibly more than I want for the hobby.
The E-ride is much much louder it has a drone sound from the belt
Thanks for watching my videos. Yeah upgrading these bikes is definitely not cheap but the platform that you upgrade really does make a difference. So if you are riding a lot of MX tracks doing a lot of big jumps you may want some thing a little lighter like a Surron and upgrade that. But if you’re doing some single track and trail riding, I still think the talaria is a better bike because it’s so much smoother and it has a little extra weight to it so when you’re going into turn, it has a little bit more weight to stay in that instead of pushing through the turn on like a Surron , which is super light. The ER pro is definitely a lot louder 100% specially at lower speeds. It sounds like a vacuum. It’s loud but it has great power which makes the bike so much fun to ride. There’s a new player you need to check out. It’s the Venus One. It’s a 79 falcon with 28kw. Like crazy power. That’s like the power of a 450 dirt bike. And it’s going to cost 6900$. So stay on the look out for that.
So you think its to loud for hunting? I never bought the MX4 because I didnt think it had enough power for me (6'1 250lbs) and I ride a lot of mountain single track with steep elevations changes. The Pro SS looks like is enough power for me and my size. I was going to pull the trigger on it next month. Now I have to reconsider.
If you’re looking for a hunting bike that has more power than the mx4 then you need to check out the Gowow ori. I have a few videos on my channel. It is so flipping quiet. It’s an adventure bike more than a Mx bike. It has a unique look but it’s an amazing bike. I actually like it better than my mx4. It’s by far the best bike for hunting I’ve come across due to the internal gear reduction on the motor. It makes it smooth and so quiet. You’ll be able to sneak up on what ever your hunting.
What's your weight/height. I'm 6'3 and 230, so wondering if it'll be fine for me
I’m like 165 lbs and 5/11. It will feel a little cramped but they have a foot peg lowering kit which is a must for bigger guys like yourself. That will make it so much more comfortable for you.
Awesome paths you've got there! What state are you in?
I’m in fabulous Vegas Nevada.
I need a bike
I can’t say I disagree with you because it’s the most fun you can have with your pants on.
Appreciate ur effort 👍
Thank you for commenting.
Do you know if peg drops from the surron will fit the e ride pro?
Yes the surrons peg lowering kit will work on the ERP.
Good video! The website has no prices & no way to purchase or reserve
If you look up lithiumPowersports.com they have them for sale. Let me know if you still can’t find it.
What camera are you using to record this?
A GoPro 11.
It's such a rad bike. I am super happy with mine but I want more power already 😂 seeing how much torque it has I'm thinking about down sizing the sprocket for more top speed. I wonder if the regen charges the battery or if its strictly for engine braking?
Yeah I totally agree I want it to be 16kw. I think that’s the sweet spot for this bike. But the swing arm defect is bothering me. My swing arm is touching the frame at the swing arm bolt. There is supposed to be a space in between the swing arm and the frame. Not only do I not have a space it’s touching the frame. So ERide knows about it and it seems to be just about every 2.0 has the issue. We r going to see how they handle this.
@@mrKushmann1 hmm I never noticed the swing arm issue. Maybe you could make a short video about it? I'll have to look at mine
@@mrKushmann1 Yeah I am glad you pointed that out. Mine is touching as well. I am thinking about taking the swing arm off and sanding down that lip on the frame to create some more clearance because it does appear to be rubbing. That's a shame. Edit: I looked at the gap between the frame and swing arm again and its not actually touching each other on mine but its very close. I can slide a piece of paper between it. I agree that the gap should be wider though because I am sure it will flex a tiny bit while riding.
Seems like it's a really good bike. I just cannot get over the look of it personally. I wish they had a more sleek looking design like the Surron or Eride
No I got you, I kind of felt the same way at first, but after having the bike for a little bit, it has really grown on me and I’m absolutely loving the looks of it. I think it has a unique look, but yet it’s strong looking.
