I also shoot an RIA. It's a 5" in 9mm. i use the 10 rd mags from ACT-MEG in it . Never seem to get a hick up from them and they also shoot well with my BUL armory 1911 Commander 9mm. The ACT megs don't like my Colt or my Colt doesn't seem to like them. MEC-GAR have worked well and the Metalform were recommended for use in the COLT. I have 1 on order from Greg Cote LLC. Should be trying it out this coming week. Your stove pipes could result from a too heavy recoil spring for the ammo you're using. Keep doing the trial videos. Well done.

I was just like you when I was younger and once I started embracing my masculinity I felt a lot more secure. I think sometimes we feel like we wont measure up as a masculine men and we subconsciously lean towards what we ourselves are attracted to not realizing that its not our authentic selves. Maybe we feel we are, without realizing that we ARE in fact being affected by outside influences. Being skinny and androgynous myself we kind of go through an identity crisis growing up and its hard to embrace something that comes so much easier to others. My advice would be to lean into your masculine energy for a while and see how it feels, get to know that side of yourself and see what potential really is there. I started lifting weights and doing things like building/shooting guns, airsoft, martial arts etc. and It really helped me know my true self and it helped me have the confidence to face this difficult world as a man. Ill never be as beautiful as Griffith or as rugged as Guts but I have found a comfortable middle ground. My shoulders and chest will never be big enough but its the motivation I need to stay on my path. Hope this helps, fellow Dir En Grey fan.

I have the same pistol as yours. Swapped out the stock grip safety for a beavertail, which required a shortened hammer, so I got Wilson Combat hammer/sear combo. The stock stainless mag nose-dived on me also, but only when hand racking. Dropping the slide with the release proved succesfull, but fuck that. I now run only 10rnd Mecgars and have NEVER had a problem since. Hope you got it figured out by now.

I wish I had seen this before. I got an Aero M5 upper and an M5 lower and used a CMMG Zeroed MK3 LPK because I love how their ambi controls feel on AR15. Well I was really disappointed to find that the bolt catch of that LPK won't work with M5 because the relief cut on the upper in the M5 is way too narrow for an oversized bolt catch. My take down pin fit and worked great, but the pivot pin is way too tight. It won't go through with the upper and lower aligned, the only way that pin will work is when the upper is pivoted almost to the max degree allowable. And even then that front pivot pin un really short you have to use a tool to push it through. Pretty sad about that because I really wanted to use the CMMG kit. Now I have to get an Aero LPK and i'm going to try a different receiver set from Live Free Armory.
