Thanks Mom. I do okay. Jud came over yesterday and helped split a pile of the really big firewood rounds. We got one of his full sized pickup loads up to the woodshed but the rest he chunked into sizes that I can manage with the log splitter. I am stoked!

I could add a sound track to make it loud. This is one of the morel patches I am building.

They are scaredy cats and often run into me when something spooks them. I am old. They have no clue they wear weapons on their heads.

I think what you are seeing is the yellow shelf mushroom. I don't know which one it is. In my experience the turkey tail has rings of different colors. This one is a mix of yellows and golds. It was quite thin like the turkey tail. I did not harvest any of the ones in these pics. However I had a successful run of King Stropharia which I did not photograph. I was too busy fighting with Pearl "The chicken of unknown origin" over the mycelium which she loves to eat. I got a few mushrooms but they were pretty damaged. I'm going to put your name on my mushroom list. I will let you know when I have the next run of mushrooms. I spread a lot of King Stropharia spore on purpose!

It did take nearly all day but and half of the next but we got her done!

He never did chop off a finger. That was the last year he was well enough to participate. He would be thrilled with your comment!

I wish he was still here to hear you say that! He would have been very pleased.

He was limited in what he could do to help but in this chore he was amazing and he chopped nearly every single apple in those boxes!

It was tough to lose her after 13 months. She had large tumor on her liver. However, I don't regret her at all. I had to leave her at the vet on her last day and I cried all day feeling as if I deserted her. It turned out that she was alert and enjoyed watching all the activity from a safe crate. I never had a dog do that before.

It was fun except for the death of the pressure washer. I have replaced it and am happy with that.

I have 52 other videos on my channel. I post a new one each Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Some of my material is old but this video was from early this year. I will continue to cut down my own trees but I will take the time to make sure my chains are sharper.

Thank you. We were deeply blessed by this special soul. She had so much to give.

Yes, it is a memorial. I lost 3 senior dogs in 2023. She was the last to go. I asked the vet to try to keep her alive for a road trip with my mother. It was so special for this dog and she showed her appreciation every day with the exception of the orange life jacket. She hated it and refused to move while wearing it. Once I got it off her she was back to loving on me, my mom, and my cousin.

Thank you for sharing this memory. Hopefully by now or in the future you will have adopted new members into your family to give you as much love as those three have. Best wishes to ya

@@RyanLee809 Yes, I have new old dog. She was 12 when I brought her home but she looks 6. I can't seem to help myself. Wheezy was my 27th dog. Apparently I'm supposed to take in old dogs or I would stop doing it. Thank you for your kind words.

I also have a log splitter which will show up in future videos. A 5 year old could have split this rotting alder. My favorite part is using fast forward.

They are beautiful. They have their moments. We have a mostly respectful truce. If they hurt me, I whop them on the nose with a hazelnut switch. They are not total pets but when we are in the woods, they are my best buddy's. I've often wondered how many people would entertain the "Goat walk". So far, nobody except the dog and sometimes the cat. They no longer wear leashes.
