It was 2003 this album was released. I was 14 years old and listening to this album over and over again. My brother was 9 years old, he was asking to me "what is she saying now?" I was translating as i could and he wasn't able to understand the true meanings. Finding this was silly. I was like "what can you underdstand with your 9 years old mind? Are you big enough to understsand? And now it's been 20 years, i lost my brother to cancer a month ago and i'm still listening to this album over and over again plus in tears and thinking about my brother's memories.

I honestly can't play The End without immediately playing Dead after. It's like I can't have one song without the other, lol. Whenever I listen to The End, it always makes me remember the time I got the vinyl version for this album, played it for the first time and finally figured out how to use my record player properly-

Relistened to this album today since the first time I did my headphones were broken and only played audio in one ear. I've heard this album was inspired by old school rock and metal, which is what I mostly listen to and yeah I can definitely hear some influence.

I recall I was supposed to see MCR & Taking Back Sunday, but it was immediately after MCR members were burned during the filming of a music video that had pyrotechnics. They canceled & SO MANY teenagers left who looked like they were only there for MCR, very evidently MCR fans from appearance. I love(d) Taking Back Sunday too so it was disappointing but still great. I was in seventh grade so my mother was with me & my poor mother was so disturbed. I can’t imagine what she would have thought of MCR… My father actually genuinely liked this album, a real surprise, & he would even play it in the car when he was on his own. He stole it from me lol
