Please be careful not to cut into the evaporator core aluminum lines when you are cutting into the core box with your cutting disk and rotary tool.

This video is designed to help you through the latch replacement process. Cost of the OEM latch assembly is approximately $230 from the dealer.
Wish i could post a photo of mine for you guys to see
Honda crv 2004 have amp?
thanks brother Brent , just used your video on the exact same car to replace my wife's speakers . Thanks so much.
Thanks for your post. I've built my focal speakers in my CR-V, with keeping the original connector.
Kept yapping, was hard to get to the content
Why did you not record changing it out? You recorded the after
thanks for identifying the problem. I bought a speed sensor thinking that was the problem and didn't even bother to install it because we have the same issue. I used an ohm meter and checked for continuity from the legs of the chip on the top side (since the bottom side has epoxy) to the traces on the circuit board on the bottom side. I found that pin 10 was not stable. I melted the epoxy on the tip with my soldering gun and connected a wire to it to another point in the circuit. Works now. Thank you!
I don’t know why you’d mess around with all of this. Just mount them right to the door.
Nice video!
These are the most ridiculously fiddly speakers to replace 🤦♂️. My ‘98 Forester took two minutes per speaker as the speaker grille comes off the door, allowing full access!
If you can do this just find a local Pick and Pull and get another one....real easy to swap out i was just about to this and i'm like wait a min. lol
amo estos trabajos!!!!recuperar, reciclar, refaccionar, el futuro ya llego!!!!gracias por tu tiempo!!!
It takes about 15 minutes to remove the entire evaporator box no need to cut the box all up like that. 3 bolts and 2 nuts with 10mm socket and 12MM socket for one on the firewall after you undo the AC lines in the engine compartment pull the box toward you slides around out. It's made to be serviced very easy to remove.
This helped me get out a pair of tweezers that got stuck under the hinge. Thank you!
The. Box below the controls😢😊😊😊😊😊
Dang. $45 for the replacement adapters on Amazon. Wow.
1998 Civic Hatch - this fixed it!
Brent - just came across your post and hoping you can help me with an issue in my 2005 Honda CRV, relating to the same door. Yesterday one of my hearing aids fell in the space at the bottom, where the door swivels open. I can only open the door slightly or it squeezes the hearing aid. I tried sliding my credit card along the space at the bottom to pop it out but can’t retrieve it. Is there a way to pop the door off without opening it more than one inch? Will be most grateful if you can advise me. Thank you!
Nice job thank for sharing.👍
the door panels dont fit
they fit in the front but not the back
As per other viewers, capital job and really very useful. Thank you. A few questions if you are still here! 1. Do you recall the maximum distance from the face of the speaker that a tweeter could protrude before interfering with the door speaker grill, i.e. how much clearance is there? 2. How deep can the speakers be before they interfere with anything inside the door, e.g. window perhaps? 3. Dis you do a front door speaker vid or is the setup exactly to same with the same clearances?
What do yall use this lil cubby for?
THANK YOU
🤓
what a great video, bravo. even the same year as mine. thanks G
'Hope it helped' ............... I should say so. Thanks. Terrific. I would have used flat head machine screws with nuts myself but this was a great instructional video.
True mechanic hands here :D
Yes it worked on honda inspire 2.5 1997 just resolderd works fine now thnks
I noticed after removing the speedometer that the actual connection for it on the instrument cluster is directly through the 4 screws that attach it to the ribbon strip and plastic housing. The circuit board looked fine. So, sprayed all the connectors a screw points with Caig Deoxit D5. I had the same issue where the needle froze at around 20mph and the odometer stopped. After spray those connection points with Deoxit D5 everything works as it should. Mine is a 2000 Honda Civic. Thank you for your video.
Awesome job thanks
Thanks for your sharing knowledge 👍
I don’t understand why you have to explain about the panels when the problem was the latch , why couldn’t you explain how you replace the latch.
Can we eliminate the factory connector and splice the wires directly into the car's wiring?
Looks really nice 👌
What is the actual size of the speakers inside a 2003 Honda crv
6.5 inches
Thank you so much for your video. This was very helpful. I got my speedometer working.
Bad idea.. Hours of labor and its gonna start rattling after time.. big thumbs down
Why on earth would it start rattling?
thank you for your efforts i do it today to my car and its look great i have same car with same color 😀
how much cost you in the dealer and what is the link to order it>?
Do the windows have an problem hitting the magnets?
Just did my sons 02' CRV EX and saw these on speakers pods and was like WTF. Did same as you did but ran tip ties through. Works great and holds tight.
Wow I really do appreciate you sir thank you
Thank you for this! I’ve been looking for a solution to fix mine!
Dunts
THANK YOU! We were stuck at our hotel with no tools trying to get to Disneyland and you saved our trip!
Thank you so much my speedometer wasn't working and due to your awesome video it works again. Your instructions were very clear and easy to follow which made the whole process a breeze.
what kind of head unit do u have? where did u get it from?
That was a great video I really appreciate you showing us how to do that the same hinge Broke on my shelf compartment while I was removing all the accessories to replace my lightbulbs in my cluster switches for the AC and fan, again I really appreciate this video.
My 2003 Honda CR-V glove compartment won’t open any help?
Maybe an idea for other DIYers, instead of using screws to mount the speakers to the original bracket, you could drill/punch the same three holes and use smaller zip ties to fasten them. I'll be getting an 03 crv soon and will want to do the speakers. Other than that, this was an excellent video. I'll be going your route and reusing the original mounts as I haven't found any replacement mounts anywhere else. Beautiful! Very well done.
I like this idea. I'm going to try this soon and that's the only part I'm apprehensive about
