Looks clean man, thanks
Thanks! With 2x2 tubing you actually do not have to cut out front or back. Just the edge, the box will slide in when the Schlage locks are removed. And it gives both sides a smooth look. This was first attempt with this style. I need to make an update video. 👍🏼
How’d you get the curve on the top, you should make a how to or start to finish video, nice work
@@julianrivera5138 thanks ! I will do a full video on my next project. The metal supplier I use does the arch top for me.
Wait for what
The heat melts the factory plastic pins that hold the joint on. Which press out allowing for the removal. Apologies for the writing being in the way.
The gate looks really nice. What size metal did you use for the frame? And the inner edging Where you attach the wood? Looking to have one build like this
What size square tubing and the edge did you use?
@@Alexlivingloud thanks! frame is 2x2 Hinge side is 11 gauge The rest of the frame is 14 gauge
@@staybusybuilding2910 thank you for your fast response. I already have the 1.5 square tubing and wanted to add that front face where the wood attaches. To give it more detail to the gate.
@@Alexlivingloud yeah it gives a nice border and allows the screws only to be visible on back side. 1.5” works great as well. Pickets will be flush on the backside. 👍🏼
@@staybusybuilding2910 what size material/metal did you use on that border?
@@Alexlivingloud the border where pickets mount are 3/4”x 1 1/2” 14gauge
Excellent work, welds and wood.
Love the color
@@Lost_Again_ I just posted a video on the product and a better view of the wood pickets. Thanks!
@@staybusybuilding2910 Thank you! I’ve been looking for a shade exactly like that one. How’s the prep work prior to applying? About the same as the others on the market?
Yes basically just a clean wood and apply. I sanded my boards down to give it a smooth appearance but that’s not necessary.
So I'm not sure how long ago you did this video but I got the same product on my fence and I'm not real happy with the the longevity of the product it seems to need a new coat every year and after two coats it starts to turn your wood black then you have to pressur wash and re apply yearly love the red wood look for about 5 months then it turns real darl what do you think of this product ?
@@nunyabisnis1448 honestly your correct about having to apply multiple times. First year I did it twice . Once in spring second in fall to protect from rain. Once penetrated it does last about two years than needs to be applied again. So it is costly to repeat, but I found it does the job and looks great. Never had issues with black staining, only from areas that are subject to sprinkler water regularly.
Beautiful truck
I have a question do you have to put that stuff back in after replacing ?
The new u joints come with c clip rings
That white plastic thing that pooped out the hole? Apparently no. But stupid Chevy puts that retainer pin in for some reason and I’ve heard this is the only way to get the joint out is by melting that damn thing. Guess you could also drill it out perhaps and stop when plastic stops coming out the flutes. But torch is preferred method
Do you guys make your custom c and s section ornamental art ?
@@williamv.b6199 no these are purchased from local steel distributor
You gave up on America a long time ago
Oh nice work putting those words right in front of the maine reason your posting this video
That didn't show me SHIT !!!
If you watched until the end. You need to heat it a while before the plastic pins start melting and come out of the pin hole. Then you can knock the U joints loose.
If you watch till the end you'll see what the other commenter said.....something happens behind some text on the screen. The whole screen is available and you put the text there?
9 an hour your suppose too drag flux core
Nice truck, can you provide info on tires, wheels and suspension ?
Rims are OEM 22x9 off 2017-19 Silverado /Tahoe . Tires are 33x12.50. Truck has a 4.5” rough country lift.
Thanks for the quick response, i would like to see and i'm sure many others a walk around video of your clean truck!
No problem and thanks. I will be posting a full video soon. Truck is basically stock but I do plan on some upgrading and will be posting soon.

These are the 2017-19 OEM GM WHEELS. Size 22”x9” they call them 6 spoke split.
I am a wilder fabricator by trade. My father taught me ever since I was sixteen. I am now a home remodderer kitchen and bathroom. But that is what got me out of the corporate ps. I would like to get back into building fabricating. Working for myself building custom exotic gates.
Definitely a great trade to know. Just some stuff I do on the side when I’m not working my Monday-Fri. Self taught in the garage and still learning with every project. Hopefully you can get back into it 👍🏼
What lift you have ???
4.5” rough country
Can I fit 35s on that size lift
No, I would say go six inch lift with 35’s. I had to trim corners off bumper and inner plastic fender guard for clearance.
U got an Instagram?
No instagram. I’ll post more on the truck soon. More upgrades coming
Damn that thang look good

Is 2wd o 4wd ? I have a 4wd i want the same lift

@@staybusybuilding2910you know the offset?
@@Kevin_Yagoonie I believe it’s oem offset 24mm. These are 22x9 oem wheels. Wheel model is cv99. I did use a 1/4” spacer to clear front caliper and 1 inch in rear just to have same stick out.
