Video blog post for the new Lake Shore Lines model train layout being built in Naples, FL. The 3-rail O scale layout is a fictional representation of the New York Central and Nickel Plate Road in northeastern Ohio as it connects to points east and west.

4449 in Chicago and at Owosso MI during 2009 including live video of 4449 on the turntable at night and the night photo session as well as in-cab vidoe and photos with Doyle McCormack and Jack (Hotwater) Wheelihan. Also included are night shots of all engines including 765 Nickel Plate and 1225 Pere Marquette.
What was the coal for? She’s oil fired.

New Subcriber from Maine Your layout setup is enjoyable to view. The buildings blend nicely and catch the eye. Exceptional diecast selections on your flatcars...lets see them roll. Thanks Jim 👍👍👍
That’s a cool layout 👍 I got a New York rs 3 almost just like that mine is o scale thanks for sharing yours, I will subscribe to your channel 👍

I always love the trains
So 4449 got to see her relatives(1225, 765 and 4449 were built by Lima)
Elles sont toutes magnifiques mais la 4449 est ......pas assez de mots pour dire sa beauté 😍
They should do this but 844, 3985, and 4014 with all of these engin
except 4999 isnt part of union pacific
@voidjavelin23 yeah but honestly I don't understand why they don't like to run other railroads steam programs together
Hey it's me. The 1225

Always LOVE when she's at full song steaming by and the whisle going off :).
12:06 the polar express!
nice
I don't think it's a great idea that people are hanging out of the baggage cars and other doorways as the train is passing at speed. Just one person gets injured or killed and they'll stop doing these runs.
I may have been there
I love the 1225 but I prefer the 4449 over the 1225
Perfect to be cut apart & sent to the scrap yard & foundry! Of course the black market will pay lucrative sums of CASH for many of the parts removed from this relic of pot metal!
The pictures at 12:00 and onward are amazing. If my dad and I would have stayed up longer I'm pretty sure he would take pictures that were similar to these
I was at that festival with my dad but we didn't get to see it at night
Why do American locomotives have that stupid noisy bell?
To warn people that the monster is on the move. Note that you dont hear much when the engine is drifting. ALL locomotives, diesel, electric or steam have bells to warn of danger.
I was at that festival
I was born in 2009😉😃
you're too young to be on youtube

all that was missing from Lima super power was 614 for that night shot!
Great video!
Is your intro actually real as in did all those trains pass at once?
Well if u watch the Amtrak train, u can see it fade away because of editing. However, I can't see any signs of editing with the freight and 4449
I was nine years old when they pulled it out of oak park to rebuild this beautiful locomotive. I first saw this it in Springfield Oregon and toured its freedom train cars as school field trip . And been love with the old girl since.
Gary Dennis jr Gary my story mirrors yours exactly. Although I'm older. I remember before my son was born getting inside the fence and climbing around on all the locos there. Great memories.

Why is American railroading so freaking NOISY! It's near impossible to hear the loco. Still, I'm liking this video, seeing a goodly number of locos in steam at a roundhouse is wonderful, thanks.
It's simply a courtesy to the automobiles that they share their tracks with. I'm sure you'd rather hear some whistle blowing than get to a crossing without mechanical arms and get hit.
11:40, great shot!
Mate the whole turntable sequence and stills is top shelf!! Lovely vid all round. Good on you and many thanks ;)

Kev ncaj ncees ,
At 1:53 they seem to be loading her up with coal. I thought she was an oil burner. Am I wrong?
That's a great question. They didn't completely intrigue Us and show Her getting filled, but I'm guessing it was some sort of nostalgia thing they were going for, because the ole girl has been burning oil ever since I first saw Her on Pentrex in 1995.
+william wike ok thanks
She can't load up with coal, as her tender is completely covered, so it carries oil. But if she ran on coal, they would use a hopper, and not an excavator.
Looks like they are using the excavator to lift the lid off of the sand dome.
How come SP 4449 never seems to be pulling SP coaches?
That's a really good question. There are only 4 or 5 SP Daylight coaches that I know of that are still being used on 4449 trips. Not sure where the ones from the 80's and 90's went.

I wish i could see it come to Michigan again....
I wish it came back to Michigan as well and I want to see it with my mom since she never got to see a daylight in person and she really wants to.
Can't wait to see 4014 join them! very impressive!

AWSOME!!!!!!
haven't you born in the 1950? did you ever seen a postwar lionel that has three rails????
i love the third rail they're awesome better then two rails
Thank you for posting this, I've really enjoyed watching it!
Awesome footage. Sometimes I wish I could see Sp4449 but sadly im not living in the USA.
Were did you live
great job on the river, looks real!
camera lense at close range and locomotives at slow motion, great...
Great Video! 1225 is not a Northern. She is a 2-8-4 Berkshire. Sister locomotive to the Nickel Plate 765.
Beutiful layout!
beware of the third rail
